  1. If they're going to make a series out of a story that even casual fans already know the ending to, I'd prefer it were something like Aegon's Conquest. With this current show, we're basically watching the great Targaryen Empire go out with an pedo-incestuous whimper.

Also, did they ever explain why Rhaenyra and Harwin's kids all had dark hair, but Viserys and Alicent's all had white hair? Are there different rules for genetics in Westeros?

He inherited McDermotts Defence and made it worse than got a HC gig and poo the bed so I’m not really hoping he gets the full time gig

You’re basically describing McDermott’s situation in Philly after Reid’s firing. Came up under Jim Johnson and poo the bed when made HC. Amazing what a few more years of experience has done for him. He was always a good coach, he just wasn’t ready to be a HC at that time. We’ll see what happens with Wilks, but to discount him while gushing over McDermott is silly.

He didn’t bring it (music) to Charlotte either… he brought Chesney and Brooks… whether that’s music is up for debate.

Charlotte had music well before Tepper.

You're being deliberately obtuse. We all know he was referring to the stadium concerts, which is a true statement. His group already brought the Rolling Stones, Garth Brooks, Billy Joel, Elton John in just two years. Whether you or I like them or not didn't affect ticket sales.

Does the stadium even need to host concerts? They've had some DISASTERS of events like that beer festival that was a total joke and they ran out of beer in like 20 minutes. How many concerts can even draw 70k people? The Spectrum Center hosts better concerts than the stadium would. Hell the whitewater center hosted some great concerts. He's taking credit for something that doesn't matter and no one asked for.

I think you spend so much time on here that it's broken your brain. There are plenty of people outside of the small group of posters here that are big mad about the switch to artificial turf, who absolutely want stadium concerts. Just look at the ticket sales for the shows they've had so far.

And wasn't that beer festival the first event at the stadium after Tepper bought it? And isn't mismanagement of that event the responsibility of the event organizers? Did TSE organize that? I get that you guys are having fun dunking on Tepper. It's about the only thing to bring any of us joy so far this season, but you're being a little ridiculous.

Billy Joel… Camping World Stadium… if I want to look at pretty girls I’ll go to the beach… don’t need a Kenny Chesney concert for that.

I said the last concert at the stadium not any stadium. I went to the Billy Joel concert here and it was great, same with Elton John. And just because you and I don't like Kenny Chesney doesn't mean that like 50,000 other people don't.

And as someone who has been to some of the best venues in the U.S. when it comes to entertainment… I’d much rather be at a smaller venue…

That's your preference. Tons of people love stadium shows, and now we have use of the actual stadium in downtown Charlotte for those people.

Red Rocks Amphitheater and St. Augustine Amphitheater are much better than some big ass stadium.

Talking about Charlotte. Tepper didn't claim he brought music to Colorado or Florida. Jesus.

Thank you Lord Tepper for bringing us music… we are not worthy, we are not worthy…

What was the last concert you went to at the stadium before Tepper became owner? Having a venue that large does make a huge difference in the city's ability to attract big acts with more attractive tour dates. Tepper is getting deservedly roasted for a lot of stuff, but this is something he actually should get credit for.

  7. The first episode was excruciatingly slow at certain points...understandable since they were starting so many different storylines at once, but still tough as only a casual Tolkien fan. Thought the second episode was great and now I'm hooked.

  8. Even entertaining the idea that the owner of a team would 'apologize' or 'admit' a bad decision to the fans is some really weird fan fiction. Why are there grown men so obsessed with getting some rich asshole admit defeat on something? He doesn't care about you, and he's not going to apologize, so why waste your time worrying about it? Even if he did apologize, would it somehow undo the last few shitty years? And if he hires your dream coach and that guy flops as well, are YOU going to apologize to all of us for never shutting the fug up about it?

I was actually at Solace the night of the server. It was a terrifying moment.

As for Ed's incident, i am surprised as well. I feel like the street is about 10-15 yards away from the front door. Must of been an all of a sudden thing. The cars on that road are barely going 25-30mph, but then again.... its getting by a car that does the hurting not necesarrily the speed.

Maybe 10 yds/30 ft. My truck is 20 ft long. I run past Ed's several days each week. If it's in the evening, I usually just run in the bike lane because trucks and SUVs hang out over the sidewalk. It's close.

damn. thats a pretty far shove...

The woman hit on S. Blvd was a server at Mac's. She was hit by a drunk driver that went up onto the sidewalk IIRC. Not in front of Mac's, but up the street a bit. I think she was walking to or from her car.

The front door of Ed's Tavern is only about 15-20 feet from the street. I seem to remember that there was a drunk guy being a creep and a protective friend or boyfriend got a little too enthusiastic and chased the guy out of the bar and then shoved him off the curb. I'm still surprised that someone hit him, as that's not a super high traffic area at that time of night, and it's right at a 4 way stop light.
