DK Metcalf? I think the combine sold him.
He was definitely an outlier stat wise. But you’re right with that size and speed combo but also adding that he came out as a sophomore. Which you wouldn’t think would play a massive part in WR success but most analytic models I’ve heard take that strongly into consideration

Not every receiver needs to be elite. You don't necessarily want to spend a 2nd rounder on a guy that just turns into a lower-end #2 or solid #3, but how long has it been since Carolina even had one of those? If Mingo gets to that point then it's still a win.
Hearing ya I don’t believe now or back at the draft that he was worth a 2nd. He was a 3rd round guy in my books same a Lafell was I believe could be wrong

Yup. But with this "blow up" he is averaging the following:
3.16 catches a game on 5.67 targets per game, for 32.5 yards per game.
552.5 yards for the year on 96.39 targets and 53.72 catches is what he is on pace for. This doesn't seem bad but when you compare it to the other rookie WRs he's sandwiched between its not as good. But this is his first game over 50 yards and he still has no TDs so we are hoping his performance today was a sign of greater things.
Mingo worries me I don’t want my receivers coming out of college as a senior without really blowing a season up. There’s not a very good track record there of players becoming elite IMO

Well, perhaps if Tarik Cohen is ever elecated, and they use him creatively, maybe he can be used to similar effect.
Would love to get Samuel back from the Commanders if they’re gonna blow up the roster

Show me where this is accurate about me since he is quoting to me and you are replying to him. I literally celebrated our win here, on reddit and in discord. I was complementary about Bryce on all three platforms as well. So please show me where I would rather be right than see this teams QB in a better light. I had nothing bad to say about Bryce in this game. The only thing I questioned on offense at all was playcalling.
I was just replying to his comment I don’t care who he was replying to. All I see is the people that wanted Stroud over Bryce are the ones in here shitting on him after we all just witnessed him do more with a lot less on the same field

My take from today is that both Stroud and Young have what it takes to be top 5 qbs in the league…. Provided they are surrounded by adequate talent.
Like every QB that has succeeded it’s not rocket science is it

Who spends the day desperately trying to defend the opposing team's QB after a Panthers win?
Maturity.
S2troud stans are sooo sensitive.
People who liked Stroud predraft and would rather be right than see their supposed teams QB in a better light

Jerry Juedy having a big day before he comes to Carolina.
For a good price I wouldn’t hate it. Haven’t watched him lately but he ran slick routes coming out

I got a feeling if the 49ers lose this game they might go to Sam Darnold next week.
Would love to see what Sam can do with all those weapons. I honestly think he has better arm talent than Purdy.
He has better arm talent than most the league between the ears is the problem

Just think how good Bryce Young will play behind a good OL. running game and better
wide receivers.
He’d be elite

Plus Bryce also proved today he isn’t made of tissue paper like Richardson.

Played well I’m still shipping Burns in a heartbeat if we get a solid offer
-
We need a player with the same explosion as Tank Dell hopefully bigger though. That’s the type of weapon that would do Bryce wonders
-
I was worried with him coming out that he reminded me of Greg Robinson from Auburn

Glad we won but I don’t know if I would be beating my chest either way at this point. Still not sure why we aren’t pushing the ball more.
Because our Oline can’t block poo and outside of AT our WRs are pretty ordinary

Now just imagine an Oline that could block and some competent weapons outside Thielen and Chubba

Nobody is trading for Lockett, he's 5 years older than DK and is owed more money in 2024 thank DK
No arguments here and Seattle isn’t trading DK

More chance of getting Lockett from Seattle

I think we’ve been talking about Ceedee Lamb

Or would they rather embrace the tank. There might be some Vikings for sale right now
