You need weapons to lift every QB up. Sure there’s flash in the pan seasons like Cam in 2015 but every consistently good QB has good to great weapons 

They’d want to add some pieces via trade right now to get up to speed throughout the bye week 

I would love to see us stop trying to chase the big bodied upside WR. And look at the smaller explosive college stat  monsters.

WRs who get force fed passes are constantly being thrown contested balls into tight coverage.  The majority of Thielen's catches are wide open with no defender directly on him with a chance to break up the pass.

And that's 100% on Thielen's route running ability, he's crafty and knows how to find the open space in the defense.

Oh definitely just imagine if we had a similar savy player but with extra juice. A bit of YAC would do Bryce and our offence  wonders. Plus some serviceable guards would be lovely 

I love what he’s doing but if AT is your No1 guy getting force fed you know the rest of our weapons are poo

But Stroud is not on this team. And I would hazard the guess that Philip Rivers always had better numbers than Eli, and Eli had some seasons where he looked downright pedestrian--if not awful. Not saying this would happen, but if Stroud turns out to be Rivers and Bryce turns out to be Eli, are we complaining at the end of their careers?
