What a poop sandwich for Jets fans. Hyped up about Rodgers and then having to suffer through more of Wilson’s pathetic play.

Dude was mauling people out there. Very impressive.

I feel sorry for Young. This fanbase is incredibly impatient.
It's almost like guys have to play at a hall of fame caliber level from day 1 to not be labeled a bust by the irrational fans.

It's all good, but I don't do the continuous back and forth posts anymore like I would have in the past. I think we understand where each other was coming from now, so it's moot to further it.
Have a great Monday sir!
Pie for using moot correctly and not mute lol

Thankfully we will have meaningful regular season football to bitch and moan about instead of the nonsense that’s been going on in here since camp started.

State’s QB isn’t anything special. Average team at best. If they still had Leary it could be a different story. It so funny how the state fans were salivating at the thought some bigger program was gonna buy Maye yet their own QB left for Kentucky because of NIL money.
That's the thing with the portal though, they brought in a seasoned, experienced QB who has played at a high level previously under the new OC. He is also duel threat and Leary is the total opposite of that. Will Armstrong be an NFL QB? Probably not but he can win a lot of games for his college teams.

cool. But I'm largely talking ACC. And with other ACC teams using the portal....Clemson still has the best roster in the ACC.
I'm not so sure about that one. FSU, UNC and last night Duke all look like they are equal to or better than Clem talent wise. State is likely there as well and they have been portal heavy.

nah, some of this is just piling on. Which is fine. That's sports. People claiming Clemson doesn't recruit talent anymore. Then when showed how absurd their recruiting has been.....claiming that's now how you should measure recruiting. Sometimes teams just have a bad day. A comical day. Which means you lose a game where you go 200 rushing and 200 passing.... despite your previous record being 108-0 when doing that.
A team struggling to find an offensive identity (with a new OC and essentially a new QB) lost an opening day game to a pretty decent team on the road.
Clemson went 11-3 and won the ACC championship last year with no QB play. They did it not just because of the stars recruits get but because they have the best overall talent on their roster in the ACC. Which was true before kickoff and is still true today.
But QB is still largely king. QB play is just the ultimate difference maker. And it cuts both ways. It can lift a team up or knock them down several pegs.
The portal is a talent equalizer for teams that can't recruit high school kids like Clemson can. You can bring in a proven college player who is ready to contribute from day 1 as opposed to developing some high school kid and not knowing when or if he will ever be ready. Dabo will have to change his views on the portal or he will never have Clem at the level of dominance they have enjoyed in the last 10 years.

He's an ideal college coach though. Great recruiter and motivator, but not the type of Xs and Os guy that the NFL is going to be clamoring after. Well, unless Tepper gets infatuated I guess
Exactly, that wasn't really meant as a slight at Dabo, I am an ACC guy through and through. Dabo is a hype man and recruiter but needs coaching help to succeed. Losing Venables is hurting Clem big time.

Dabo has some Matt Rhule in him for sure.

All right! Bigkat had a brain twitch and he started a thread about something that has been beat to death already! Let’s go panthers! Let’s go Burns! Fire Fitt!

Glad to see you're both content wasting a roster spot in a hugely competitive league.
If you think the roster spots are going to remain open through this week into game 1 then there is no helping you.

Now we have TWO open outer spots? LMAO why did we cut Corral again?!? Fit doesn't even have a plan for 53 lmao I'm sorry but his GM run so far has been horrible usually we are looking for ways to keep guys we cut not looking for more guys to fill the REAL roster lmao what disaster GM we have
OMG! OMG! We are doomed! We cut the great Matt Corral and now Haynes the JAG is out for four games due to injury. Fire Fitt! Fire Tepper!

Why cut Corral if you're only going to carry 52 players into the season?
The jury is definitely out on Fitterer.
Because he sucks and wasn’t going to help this team. They will pick up a contributor this week.

I have to remind myself its not the players problem that they have some the biggest homer fans out their.
It’s true. Sam seems like a good guy and a tough dude with above average QB talent. He’s done nothing as an NFL QB so far but he has reached legendary status with the fanboys.
We will see if he can actually make Riverboat appear to be a competent coach like Cam did. My guess is no.- 1

All of the UNC fanboys fluffing Howell is tiresome.

I think the Falcons may surprise this year. It all comes down to how that QB plays though.
Right, it is hard to think of them as division winners with Ritter at QB.
The Aints are the team to beat out of the gate.

Was last season when Riverboat was missing huge chunks of time for chemo? If so maybe he missed a lot of practices. Still no excuse not to personally evaluate all of your players, especially at the most important position.

None of these cuts are surprising except for Jones maybe. I thought he would stick. The bottom of this roster will likely churn all season long.

Yeah the Hornets used to do that garbage, the Panthers not so much. Ray Felton, JR Reid, Sean May etc etc
