  1. I was expecting that he'd at least be better than Mariota and Geno Smith.  He hasn't even cleared that bar.  Admittedly, those guys have been better than expected so far this season.  He has been missing throws that NFL journeymen should make, I am starting to think that his arm is just shot at this point.

  2. I don't get as pissed as I used to when we lose or anxious at the end of games, mainly b/c I have never felt that there was anything meaningful on the line during the Rhule era.  I still watched most of the games last year, even the ones that were meaningless.

At this point it is like the end of a bad marriage, you are torn between wanting the Panthers to win and wanting Rhule to go away.

NGL, happy for Geno.  He has never been as bad as he has been portrayed to be.  In fact, he has great natural talent, I just think he was always in really crappy situations.  Regardless. I'm happy to see a guy who had to take a step back and sit behind someone for that many years get his opportunity and capitalize on it.  Also, Russ has worn thin on me over the years.  I liked him since the NC St. Days, but I've read and heard things that infer he isn't exactly as straight up or clean-cut as he projects himself to be, and he is a bit of a primadonna, AND now he plays for Denver, so f them lol.

And my last observation...  that's 2 teams this week that beat their former starter with a backup, including our game.  So maybe things aren't as bad as it appears...  The former teams definitely have a bigger advantage in these matches because QBs don't typically change tendencies and weaknesses, and the former team knows those...  whereas any information the former QB has can change week to week, and these games pretty much demonstrated that.

NC State fan - totally agree with you on Wilson.  I liked him at first in the NFL, but can't stand him now.  His re-telling of the split between him and Tom O'Brien is completely made up, he makes his teammates sign NDA's, his good-buy brand clothing was supposed to be a charitable endeavor that gave a whopping 1% of proceeds to charitable causes.

My brother saw him out one night when he was married to wife #1.  He said you wouldn't know he was married.  I am sure that is common in the NFL, but other players aren't sanctimonious hypocrites obsessed with their clean cut image.

  4. I'll bite.

    1)  Tremble.  I think the offense last year was dysfunctional to the point where it was hard to evaluate guys.  McAdoo likes to utlize tight ends more than the previous regime and Ian Thomas sucks, therefore I'll roll w/ Tremble.

    2)  Hard to say.  The offensive line has almost been completely replaced so can't go there.  Our pass rush will be weaker with Reddick gone so it is probably going to be a secondary player.  I hate to say it, but probably Donte Jackson.

Finding a veteran rental who is an upgrade would allow Corral to sit and develop.

Given the QB's coming out in the 23 draft, we need to have an idea of what this kid can do by the end of the season, which is more of an opportunity than most 3rd round qb's get.  Play him early.

I’m doing great. Here’s a throwback to make you smile on Friday

That's hilarious.  Suggesting that "throwing a perfect spiral" might be enough to be an NFL qb is like suggesting basic algebra might be enough to be a rocket scientist.  A lot more involved that.

  7. I'd like to see us try to add a C since Bozeman is on a 1 year deal.  Agree that getting Salyer / Kinnard at this point would be awesome as they have 3rd round grades - we might have to trade up to get them though.

If that doesn't pan out, grab a LB.

  8. For those that are starting out sipping bourbons, I like to recommend Buffalo Trace, but that is relatively hard to find around here.

Elijah Craig Small Batch is fairly popular and only 94 proof.  Generally anything below 100 proof if you are new to sipping.  As you get more accustomed to it, you can work your way up towards more barrel proof offerings that are around 130 proof.

  9. Minshew would be a good pick-up the year we draft a qb.  He could start the first half of the season while the rookie gets up to speed.  The problem with bringing him in and not drafting a qb is that he is probably good enough to get you to 6-7 wins with a decent roster and screw you out of draft position, putting you back in qb purgatory.
