Have at it prick. Look up my post history all you want.

Haha take it easy Jon Snow.  I'm sure you'd agree that a vast majority of the Huddle was bashing DBrown... just a fact.  Glad it seems you weren't one of them buddy.

we kind of are, though. i mean we're not in the top echelon of franchises obviously, but 2 SB appearances and a smattering of deep playoff runs and 12-4 seasons over the past 20 years is more than a whole lot of franchises can say.

at the very least we're as good as a franchise as the modern era Chiefs were before they got Andy Reid and developed a winning culture. that's what i think our priority should be this offseason, finding our Andy Reid more than our Trevor Lawrence.

I think you conveniently said “Trevor Lawrence” instead of “Patrick Maholmes”.  Andy Reid didn’t win a Superb Owl until Patty Maholmes.  Coaches are very important don’t get me wrong…. But priority for this panthers team is 100% QB.  Don’t forget, we went to a SB with Ron Rivera and a bunch of JAG WR’s, because of Cam Newton

There was never anything wrong with Brown. He needed dline help and seasoning. He's the best dlineman we have by a mile.

I really hope you weren’t on the “brown is a bust” train with 95% of the huddle last year, because this take looks good now, but he was getting absolutely railed last year here.  I won’t go digging in your past, but let’s hope not

PJ Walker? You really talking about rolling with PJ Walker long term? Finally attempted more than 20 passes in a game and it tanked his completion percentage to 50% PJ Walker? Career 5/9 TD/INT PJ Walker? THAT PJ Walker? Somebody pinch me.

Agreed. The recency bias on here is insane. The dude got us to OT against a bad Falcons team. Many on here crowning him the next coming.  Truly can’t make it up

I will have to admit Rhule was right about Fields. He's been absolutely terrible. Then again we have downgraded QBs every year under him do his judgement isn't all that either.

Fields also doesn't have nearly the weapons that Baker does though.  Put Fields on this team, I'd imagine he would be better than Baker and Sam.... not saying much obviously

bro, I mean you are now trying to cover for mcadoo,  you find me anything that says rhule designs and implements the game plans as well as call the plays and I will say I am wrong but there is no way on Gods green earth that Rhule does that.  Simply no way

Doesn’t matter if it is McAdoo or Rhule gameplanning offense (though if Rhule isn’t involved that just proves his incompetence). Rhule is the head coach, McAdo an assistant, who he hired. It ALL falls on Rhule, as it fuging should.

I'll come to the table on this challenge @Zod its kind of the same reasoning as I had with Fox and RR.

I will still maintain that both Fox and RR where very good coaches. But I also agree that sometimes change is good for everyone.

Regarding Rhule. I like that he is the CEO type coach. I think a lot of coaches become HC's because they are expect play callers but its hard to do that when you are the HC, you have SO many more duties. So I like that Rhule is a CEO type.

Now is he running a successful team? No, but I don't necessarily think that's entirely his fault. He was hired under a 7 year contract. His mission from the start was to build this team right and everyone including Tepper said 'Rome is not built in a day' so I think Rhule has been trying to build a team that once all the pieces are in place you drop a rookie QB in and go. On paper that is the BEST way to build a team as it takes advantage of their rookie salary.

I think that is exactly how the team has been trying to build. Thats why we passed on a bunch of QB's in previous drafts. Get the team ready then bring in a QB. BUT.. you also need to not tank.. so we have (smartly IMO) taken shots on high upside players (Bridgewater, Darnold, Baker) if those guys would hit, then we are YEARS a head in the process. They have not... and in this team building theory, thats not the end of the world cause we are still following the master plan.

So I think Rhule is building the team exactly the way he was hired to do it. But its hard watching this team on sundays.

Lmao excuse me??? Rhule is a good CEO type coach? What type of company would put up with his bullshit exudes for three years?  Absolute clown comment.  Just look at his hirings/firings - scapegoating at its best, aka, not CEO material

What QB would want to come here when you have a bunch of dickhead fans hoping we lose every game?

Yeah bro, we want the panthers to lose. That’s why we spend time on a panthers forum. Gtfo. Stop conflating “Matt Rhule is a joke and should have been fired 2 years ago/never hired” with “I want the team to lose”.   Turned into a damn clownshow here

Explain how The Browns are a Bad team, and how NYG is also a Bad team.

Browns without Deshaun are not a playoff team (maybe not even with him) and NYG definitely not a playoff team.  Not a stretch to say they’re bad teams, unless you were being sarcastic

because people on this forum don't understand college football

to put it into perspective, what rhule did at temple or baylor would get him a statue built in Chapel Hill.

Haha I mean that is a pretty gross overstatement.  His college “success” was never long term, he just made shitty teams less shitty after a couple years.  Again, he never won a top 25 game.  That is what matters in college football, even in chapel hill.

I fuging hate you mommy basement troll.. You're not a fuging fan you're clown who wants to be right on the internet to strangers more then wanting the team to win... While you collect a Dunking donut barista check.. FU!! Please continue to pat your self on the back while rooting against team so you can pretend to be good at anything..

Dude, please take a breath. I will always root for the panthers, even now that them winning could mean more Rhule….. And even if I were a Dunkin barista, (which fortunately or unfortunately I’m not), that “diss” speaks volumes about your character. Grow up, son.

No "buddy" you're mixing ppl wanting to watch good football from their favorite team and hoping for just that.. For some mystery entities that are backing Rhule!! I promise you unless they are Rhule family members in here.. There isn't many Rhule supporters here.. Being but hurt over ppl wanting to be optimistic before the poo show is your fault.. Be a better..

I think it’s clear from your anger that you supported Rhule even when the signs have been clear from the get-go.  That’s fine, and I’m glad you owned up to it.   I want to be optimistic too, but that’s legit nearly impossible, even though we have some decent players. It’s Rhule that is the issue, which I’m glad you now agree, “buddy”.

Big friggin deal, I got excited when we hired him, I got excited when we exceeded expectations year one. Would you like us low-life peons to call you Nostradamus now?

Appreciate you owning up to your stance at least.  Nostradamus would be overkill though, because the writing was on the wall from jump

I told you so thread.. When most ppl here wanted him fired last year... This happy poo when this team is losing and you're supposed to be fan??? Nobody feel good clown!!

Not sure what’s happy about this thread buddy.  But absolutely I want to “I told you so”…. Been some crazy Rhule love here for a while. Let’s not forget he never beat a top 25 team in COLLEGE.  Alas, beating a dead horse though, so my bad for asking who supported him.  Still want to know though

  15. Haven’t been around here much recently, because you know, the state of the franchise.  But can we get a @mention of all the users who have been Rhule apologists from the get go?  I remember a ton of folks who loved this guy and have believed in him as late as this past off-season.  Just would appreciate some accountability/recognition for such a horrendous stance

  16. After we kept Rhule after last year, I definitely don’t give a fug, and clearly neither does ownership. We are legit a laughingstock of the NFL.  Paying Sam Darnold 16 mil, and making a Hail Mary move with Baker is just icing on cake.  Rhule should never sniff any head coaching job anywhere, including college and HS.  Maybe peewee football, but he does give diddling vibes, so maybe not even that

KB made sense then and I still agree with the pick today. He did well and met expectations are a number 1 WR. I believe it was when his mother passed that it affected him emotionally and psychologically which led to his downfall. People cope differently and I think his way of coping just so happened to derail his NFL career.

This is the craziest revisionist history I’ve ever seen. KB was NEVER close to a #1 WR. His separation ability is the worst I’ve ever seen in the NFL.  The one year we didn’t have him, Cam took a bunch of JAG WR’s to the Super Bowl.  GTFO #1 WR… my fuging ass
