I haven't been high on any of the WRs we drafted in the past.

This kid though is someone I actually wanted. I have a feeling we finally hit big with this kid. I'm expecting him to be a DJ Moore caliber WR.

Same here brother, love Xavier I think he’s gonna become a quick fan favorite of the team. He already has gone viral for his country accent, we have no face of the franchise currently outside of maybe Derrick Brown in terms of media attention. I would not be surprised if in the next 4 years Xavier becomes that media darling we used to have in the 2010s with Luke, Cam, Josh Norman, CMC, etc.

Cam talked about that whole situation fairly recently. It sounds like he's completely open to putting that ugliness behind them and rekindling that friendship.

Cam was a good teammate, stood up for Kelvin after the loss of his mother. Honestly his leadership was one of his best traits, I hope they can rekindle their relationship I remember they were very close prior to everything.

KB is still a huge "what if" for me. Word from everyone that TC he tore his ACL was that he was the best player on the field and second place wasn't even close, that included opposing fans during our joint practices. What if KB doesn't get hit by the double whammy of tearing his ACL and losing his mom? I think we definitely win SB50. I don't think KB would've been great long-term but I could definitely see him being a David Boston type where he was dominant for a brief period but not for long.

Yeah that combo of tearing his acl and losing his mother really impacted him. I don’t blame him that’s a really tough situation, and it didn’t seem like he had a good crowd around him at the time. He was frustrated and started to blame everything around him for why his career was falling off. Blaming Cam for being inaccurate, the front office etc. Kelvin was a very talented person. Hope he is doing well.

Mentally, it takes years to get over the death of a parent when you are young--and he lost 2 within 4 years.  Personally, I lost both of my parents in a span of 10 months--and you think you are fine, but you are devastated.  From a football perspective, Legette's time came and he made the most of it--but there are a lot of factors that could contribute to the reason he struggled--people develop at different rates and some are late bloomers.  QBs may have a favorite and if it isn't you, they might diminish your opportunities.  I think Legette has the ability to be as good as any WR in this draft, but he is probably an early second round grade at this time.  His upside (along with Mitchell from Texas) is off the charts.

That’s a very introspective response wow. Very sorry to hear about your parents, and I totally see your point of how losing both parents in such a short duration at a young age could really affect him. I think Xavier is gonna really help us with our team mentality and work ethic.

I wasn't a fan of the pick but the guy is going to be easy to root for. Hometown kid who seems like a legitimately good guy and he's country as fug. I like him even if I didn't like the pick.

I totally get that rationale, I think Xavier was the exact type of player there were looking for in terms of mentality and personality. I think we’re betting in the long term that he’s gonna work his ass off and he has great physical traits. Obviously very different player than Kelvin Benjamin but both are very physically talented. But I bet if you gave Kelvin the work ethic and mentality of Xavier that his career would have looked a lot different.

Did you know weight lifting is all about technique?

I go to a gym with a kid who is 20 years old 150 pounds and he benches 275 and squats 400.

Then you have dudes who come in the gym looking all buff and they can't even bench 250.

Weight lifting is more of a lineman thing.

Dude I’m not here trying to argue about weightlifting, I’m just pointing out it is objectively a red flag that he has a one percentile player metric. Do you disagree with that?

Buddy thinks lifting weights makes you a good player. You must be one of those gym freaks.

Watch the film. Tell me what benching has to do with catching and running routes. The only concern might be his blocking, but that can be coached. This kid has talent he will get stronger once he gets on our strength and conditioning program.

Having a 1 percentile bench score being a D1 Football player tells me he has a potential risk of not being hard working or being weak. This guy has been with a D1 strength program for 4 years, the differential between college and Pro strength programs is marginal. Hate on the gym all you want, just a reflection of discipline and work ethic.

He quoted his college stats his 5th year as why he will be a good receiver.   I said that the wr i compare him to also put up those stats in college.

You used an incredibly broad statistic, I explained why your statistic comparison was invalid. And proceeded to use a more specific example for my argument and explain its use case, I can go all day man. You clearly don’t know much about football and especially the NFL Draft. Just keep hating and making invalid arguments it’s funny to watch.

College isnt the NFL.  Shenault had over 1000 yards receiving in college as well.

Pac 12 isn’t the SEC… Leggette is a vertical threat he averaged 17.7 yards per reception, you aren’t throwing this guy “bubble screens” all game. You’re using him downfield and winning vertically, that is why the panthers drafted him. We were never looking at short and intermediate weapons, it’s why Ladd wasn’t our pick.

Johnson definitely moved the needle but he may be gone after this season.  I dont think day 1 of the draft moved it much because I dont think a gadget player that you scheme touches for moves the needle much as far as overall wr corps.

Since when did receivers dropping 1255 yards in a single season become gadget lmao. Your hate of Leggette is absurd, gonna be fun to watch your take of Leggette age like milk.

    Ja'Tavion Sanders Texas TE

Bryce has his weapons. No more excuses.

What’s so special about Sanders? Undersized tight end with slightly above average speed who only benched 8 reps of 225? That’s a big red flag, going through a d1 college program especially as a TE and only putting up 8 reps. Big pass on me this guy is overrated as hell give me Ben Sinnott any day of the week.

  12. Chuba is a good back and we are lucky Matt Rhules wife made this draft pick. But, he is entering the final year of his contract. Plus it’s good to have a solid rotation of backs on hand. I think RB is a sneaky need this off-season, I would be surprised if Sanders was still on the roster this time next year(maybe he turns it around). Even Blackshear will be a free agent, drafting a RB this year sets us up with leverage of not being forced to resign Chuba. The best RB fit in my eyes for a Dave Canales offense, is a quick first step home run hitting RB. Why not pair the most explosive RB in the draft with a creative offensive HC. Plus we could grab Jaylen Wright in the 3-4th round.

If you guys wanna check out the video I made about Jaylen Wright it’s linked below!

    Mingo, icky and Shaq.

    mingo and icky are obvious

i think Shaq has been solid his entire career but never lived up to his draft spot. He’s never been close to a pro bowl although he’s technically the leader of our defense.

Lol a late first round pick who is still on the team since getting drafted in 2015… and has been a starter most of his career and our leader in recent years. He has far exceeded his draft position, most players fail to even get a second contract.
