For what reason? Because I forgot we traded next years first?

Yes that is a big reason, that’s just misinformation if you create a thread you should use accurate information. Combined with the fact it’s just illogical to trade what minimal picks we have remaining due to trading up to the first pick. Also, with the fact that this is one of the deepest tight end drafts in recent memory and there will be a great prospect available with our pick in the second round, unless there was some crazy run on tight ends. I’m sorry if I came off rude but I just don’t see the purpose of this thread. If anything honestly we should be looking at trading back to return some picks.

Thoughts on a package of picks to move up to the middle to end of 1st rd to get a TE? Maybe next years 1st and this years 3rd for a pick around the 15-18 spot? Or do we sit and hope one is still there at 39? A quality TE is a must, either a FA, or thru the draft. Would any of you trade next years first to get Mayer? If we came out of this years 1st rd with Stroud and Mayer, that would be quite the start to the Reich regime!

This is the worst thread I’ve seen in a while for so many reasons

Can we just leave Cam alone at this point? Only deal I would sign is for 1 day to retire a Panther

If people are fine with players like Joe Flacco, Nick Foles, and Teddy mf two gloves I see no reason why it’s crazy to suggest Cam. Cam is the best Mentor out of all of them and would command the most respect, he was a big influence on this new generation of QBS.

It all depends on who's chosen. Stroud strikes me as a Burrow-tier player, Young as a likable underdog capable of multiple Pro Bowl seasons. Others? Not much.

Exactly brother that’s why we traded up, gotta get one of the two. I trust whoever our staff prefers, I’m so excited to watch our squad next season. Star rookie qbs bring excitement like no one else.

Almost like trading Moore was a dumb mistake. Now you have to hope you can get his production from far inferior players. And you gotta do it for less money, which is impossible.

I hear you dude, I don’t think anyone here was happy to see DJ leave. Great player and an even better person. Yet, end of the day this was the right move we have been searching for a franchise QB since Cams shoulder got ruined. This is the best chance we will ever get to find our guy. Quarterbacks run the league, a great WR can’t carry an offense but a great QB can.

You've pretty much stated why I didn't want to trade up to #1.

I don't think there's a clear-cut franchise QB in this Draft. You're as likely to hit on Richardson as you are Young or Stroud - they all have flaws.

I hear you, but I genuinely see Young and Stroud in a whole other tier than Richardson. With Young and Stroud you’re talking about elite and I mean elite production in college, combined with a great combination of intangibles for each of them. Both have their elite trait, ball placement for Stroud and Play extension for Young. Versus Richardson who has 1 year of starting with eh results, as talented as he is why didn’t that translate to the college level, and why would it instead translate to the pros? Also, can’t miss prospects are never able to be traded for like it’s literally impossible to trade up for a Manning or a Lawrence whoever has the #1 pick is taking that guy. These guys have some flaws but they each have a real shot to be franchise QBS.

  7. As much as I hate to say it size does matter for QB, but it doesn’t determine who’s better. Obviously you want the bigger guy normally, but at what point is height and weight more important than real QB intangibles. I’m just happy I haven’t seen anyone say we should take AR-15 over Young because he is bigger and faster. There is so much more to the QB position then your height and speed.

  8. Honestly I think the choice between Stroud and Young will go to who fits better under Reich’s system. In my opinion, that’s Stroud as he has elite ball placement especially on intermediate routes. On the other hand Bryce young’s biggest strength in my opinion is his play extension ala Russ and Mahomes, he can turn a dead play into positive yardage consistently. He is such a great out of structure player, I love both of them as prospects. Ima trust our A tier coaching staff on this pick.

Oh, Barno is gonna be a rush OLB in our new system if we're running a legit 3-4 scheme. Backups play too.

I’m fuging excited about Barno, maybe I’m being a homer but I noticed him when he got snaps. His first step is just scary combined with those long ass arms. Having him and burns opposite of eachother would be the fastest and most agile edge edge rush pairing I’ve ever heard of.

In a traditional 3-4 the LBs are bigger than in a traditional 4-3 - and our previous coaching staff didn't think Chinn was big enough to play LB.

I've no idea where he fits into this system - he's even more of a tweener on paper, but I'm sure the new DC will adapt his system to the talent he has.

Our new DC is known for building defenses around players strengths so I’m genuinely so curious to see how Chinn is used.

  11. Amare Barno could make a great 3-4 linebacker edge, honestly makes more sense than Luvu there due to the extreme length and speed advantage. Personally I always thought Luvu worked better as an inside linebacker, he has insane play recognition and is a pursuit tackler. But he is not the most athletic dude, in fact he ran a 4.84 40 at his pro day, and I don’t mean to take away from him. He is one of our best defenders, and probably our most underrated defender in the league.
