He’s our pick if there. We like Penning over Icky so could be interesting if Icky is available with Neal gone at 6.
People here may be up in arms but we could go QB over Ekwonu. Not the case w Neal.
Neal is a man amongst boys.
Ain’t no way we like Penning over Icky. I hope that’s a smokescreen because that is just dumb. Icky is younger and has proven more on the college level and is just the better overall prospect.

Dj Moore is only 24, we got some really talented young productive players on our team.

Weird trade, the more win now team trading their star player. To a rebuilding team giving up 5 draft picks. Tua better show out this year or this trade will look awful.

BIG W LETS GO BROWNS!!

Great extension!! Keep pounding DJ!!

Good for Reddick! Cool dude good player happy to see him get paid.
-
Frankie Luvu- Great last year but will now be a full time starter
Cj Henderson/ Myles Hartsfeild/ Keith Taylor- Were at the very least losing one of Donte/Stephon and it’s looking more and more likely that we’re losing both.Yetur Gross Matos- Hassan is gone time for Matos to start.
Davion Nixon/ Bravion Roy- Daquan Jones is gone, both will see a massive role next season.
Terrence Marshall/ Shi Smith- Second year players who will be at the very least wr 3/4. People sleep on Shi, TMJ has great potential as well.
Brady Christensen/ Deonte Brown- Someone has gotta step up on the o line, both will have their shot to start in training camp. I like Brady, keep him at Tackle he is athletic as fug. And lacks power a bit, that’s a much better combo suited for tackle.
Kenny Robinson- Burris is probably gone, Chinn needs a running mate or someone to allow him to switch to his natural role. Kenny at the very least is a hard hitter and plays with effort.

Would be a solid signing!

Armstead is the big one for me. With Brown getting the tag in KC, hes pretty much the only premium option at LT. There are injury concerns for sure but when hes on that field theres few better. Fact it hurts the Saints is even better.
At least one of the guards. Doesnt have to be Scherff but one starting guard with BC and Brown battling for the last spot could give us a nasty OL.
Outside of that Leighton Vander Esch could be a solid pick up. Again, injury concerns, but the potential is there and hes young. Id take a flyer here if the money/years are right.
After that I'd like to see Gilmore back and a guy like Braxton Berrios to bolster the return game. No clue his market or price, but an all pro returner doesn't hit the market very often. A luxury for sure but I'd be intrigued and at least kick the tires.
Great input didn’t even know Berrios was a free agent. An all pro returner would be very valuable, especially considering we have an anemic ass offense.

Any solid OL. If we trade CMC, I wouldn’t be against Fournette either to share the backfield with Chuba.
Agreed, also Rashad Penny from Seattle. Horrible injury history but end of last season he looked like a franchise RB.

Engram is intriguing because McAdoo drafted him. Engram’s best season was his rookie season and the only one under McAdoo.
That’s a great point, I gotta feeling we’re gonna atleast throw Engram an offer. Still suprised by that Ian Thomas deal hopefully it ends up working out.

I’m curious to see who everyone’s interested in this free agency.
https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2022-nfl-free-agency-rankings-the-100-best-free-agents-from-von-miller-to-bobby-wagner-and-more/amp/I’ll start,
Jordan Whitehead (FS)- Love this kid young only 24, physical player who shows up all over the field. I’m sure y’all remeber this guy when we played Tampa. Adding him to the roster also allows Chin to move to SS or LB.
James Daniels (OG)- This would be a HUGE signing. Would come in and instantly fill a guard spot, another young guy only 24 with his best days ahead of him. Athletic and has bulked up from 304 his rookie year to now around 327, he’s developed and has the NFL weight room strength added to his game. Consistently improved over his first few seasons. Might be a bit costly but this would be an amazing signing.
Connor Williams (OG)- Another experienced young buck to add to the line. Needed to add weight in the NFL, came in at 295 and is now up to 320. Only 24, really solid pass protector. Even if we signed Daniels I would be completely happy signing him too. Fixing the interior would drastically change our line and this is a great FA class to do it on the interior.
Justin Reid (SS)- Great player coming off a really down year. Prior to this year he had produced two back to back 75.0 grades from PFF. Young and really athletic, this is the type of guy who makes you look smart giving him a contract in free agency. You bank on last year being an outlier and pay him way below his real worth.
Free agent flier: Evan Engram (TE) has all the traits and but is just so utterly inconsistent. Pure pass catcher, with no blocking. Would compliment Tremble and Thomas. Wouldn’t throw him more then a one year prove it deal. Engram does seem to be the type of player who will get a huge contract this off-season purely based off his traits and the lack of TE talent. But if he slips, he can come on down.

CJ didn’t play the slot much at all for us. Has he played there before? Bouye and Hartsfield did and both are on the 2022 roster as well. If we sign Donte, I don’t expect CJ to be a starter except for injury.
Cj has played in the slot before, plus if we’re being honest Cj is better suited for the outside role then Donte. Cj will be a starter next year, come back to my response next year and clown me if I’m wrong. But Cj’s snap count continually increased after he was traded here, the staff belives in him and gave up enough capital to make sure he gets a significant role.

We extended Robby right after taking Marshall in the 2nd right before Humphrey. We extended Thomas after taking Tremble in the 3rd and he looked decent. Now we want to extend Donte after trading away pick 70 (solid IOL draft spot) so CJ can be Horn/Donte’s backup.
Have you ever heard of slot corner? There’s minimum of 3 corners on the field at all times with frequent packages involving 4. Cj will be a starter next year unless we retain both Gilmore and Donte, which will not happen.

Blue chip OT worth the 6th pick:
Ikem Ekwonu
Evan Neal
Charles Cross
If none of these players are are there at six TRADE BACK! And take a Penning there, not worth the 6th pick.

We need to finally get a true deep safety, why are we putting an uber talented player, who is legit built for playing up or closer to the line of scrimmage all the way back at FS?? Chinn is a special player and unpopular opinion I thought he had a great year even playing out of position.

Sorry but I wouldn’t take this guy at 6, has Trey Lance written all over him
Trey Lance is in no possible way considered a bust so I really don’t get this analogy? If we could get Trey Lance at 6 I would take him in a heartbeat.

Romeo Dubbs, he is such a solid prospect 6’2, 205. Great route runner, solid athlete, high character guy. If he gets drafted anywhere late he will out preform his draft stock.
-
Evan Neal- OT
Ikem Ekwonu- OT
Charles Cross- OT
Aidan Hutchinson- DE
Tyler Linderbaum- C
Kyle Hamilton- FS/SS/LB
ideally we get one of those 3 awesome tackles, but any of these 6 players I would be totally fine drafting. If we could trade back and take Linderbaum I would love it, even at 6 I would be fine with the pick.

There are personnel guys who subscribe to the philosophy of "If you like a player, just take him! Who gives a sh-t if someone thinks he should have gone fifteen spots later?"
I don't know whether Fitterer or Rhule believe in that notion.
I get that but to optimize draft resources that is not the way to go especially in our draft pick situation.
-
Maybe this is to avoid getting rid of any comp picks? Instead of signing one of the better te in free agency, we resign in house players. I gotta feeling Reddick is gone and we want that comp pick, especially after our horrible mess of mid round picks this year. There’s a chance this contract works out fine.

Sad story, mistakes happen but as a fringe player you gotta do everything right to have even a chance.
