I forgot Donte's injury was Achilles. And when he returns will his speed be retained??...

Might be one of reasons we were supposedly interested in Julian Brent's. And while some of the dudes I stated have potential, they're far from proven commodities. Yea if I'm Fitts, I'm on the phone now.

Whatever it takes to not repeat that Bucs game last season.

“31 pro players who sustained ruptures and found that 32% of them never returned to play in the NFL again.”

“players in particular use explosive accelerations, sudden stops, and changes in direction, placing increased stress on the tendo-Achilles complex.“

    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7708715/

Donte tore his Achilles last year on November 10th in the Falcons game. A full year would put him returning week 9 this season. And that’s just him returning, I’m not banking on him being the same player. Regardless, up until week 9 that leaves Jaycee, Cj, Taylor, Stantley as our top 4 guys. If Jaycee misses any time we’re going to be in a horrible situation and it could be a bad situation anyway if Cj doesn’t take a big step forward this season.

If Jaycee or Donte went down, I'm thinking we move Eric Rowe outside and slide somebody like Chinn or Robinson to nickel. If we lost one we could still be competitive but if we lose both we're screwed.

Idunno, but I've convinced myself Rejzohn Wright will surpass Henderson and Taylor Jr on the depth chart. We know how bad both of them can be but we don't know improved they might be after a scheme change and legit coaching. NFL Taylor Jr, in particular. He took a serious fall from what I saw from year 1. Henderson has always looked out of his league to me.

We don't know what we really have currently...lol hell Rasul Douglas left and made a Pro Bowl...

I will say with the skill players in our division CB should be high up on the priority list after the draft. Atleast we have the $$ to grab one if needed.

Good points, but also Donte will be out for a solid chunk next season to start. Tore his Achilles late in the season, legit the worst possible injury for his position. Takes away athleticism and honestly that’s pretty much all Donte is. He’s a fast dude with good ball skills, but he’s under sized and without his speed he will be a bad corner baring a complete recovery somehow. CB is an issue!

  3. I want to see what the Huddles expectations are for next season. So let me pose three questions for yall to answer!

What is our best case scenario next season?

What is our worst case scenario next season?

Where do we most likely finish in our division?

  4. In total honesty as bad as I think the Bucs are, I could see them stealing a game from us. Hopefully not, but I have a massive fear of our CB room and especially our depth. If Jaycee misses any time we’re going to get fuging torched. Bucs still have Chris Godwin and Mike Evan’s out wide, could get ugly and turn into a shootout with our revamped offense.

Bottom line is this - CMC gets doubted for his 1k/1k because defenses played soft playing vs. a shitty team (ala Panthers) yet Moore is an annual ‘1k yard’ receiver? Heh, to the outside world.

Anyone who watches games knows that these yards come from when we are down multiple scores, period. Ergo we know that in the red zone, Moore is worthless.

So, that’s not a #1. It just isn’t. He can’t score or get open because no one is playing him soft. Again he isn’t completely useless by any means but if any Bears fans think he will be a difference maker, they’re sorely mistaken.

And if any Panther fan thinks differently they’re casual and/or haven’t been paying attention.

I expect Moore to get around 800 yards and 5 TDs this season.

Who doubts CMC’s 2k season? I respect people voicing their opinion but acting like your opinions are facts are two totally different stories. Back up your claims with statistics or facts or else what you say is totally irrelevant and should not be taken with a grain of salt. Not sure if Dj Moore plowed your wife or something damn wtf did this dude do to you? I’ll take you up on that, I bet you that Dj Moore exceeds your lowly expectations for next season. Loser has to change their profile picture to the liking of the winner, you in?

Doubtful. DJ ain’t bailing Fields out of bad situations, he’s not that receiver. And he damn sure isn’t going to fight for the ball or have YAC.

Now if the opposing teams starts playing soft due to being up a couple scores, except big numbers from Moore with a couple/few clutch catches sprinkled in before disappearing, especially when you have to get open in tough situations, you know like in the end zone, where Moore can’t get open to save his life.

Of course that’s if there isn’t an average+ corner on the opposing team who can shut DJ down.

Shall I continue with his blocking and giving up on routes?

Y’all seriously overrate this guy. He’s not worthless but he’s not a #1, or close to it either.

Had a down year for sure in terms of YAC last season but from his rookie year 2018 on his YAC rankings placed him(12th,8th,16th,#12th) respectively. Ironically he has placed elite among receivers in YAC, probably his best trait. Probably need to throw on some more game tape before you say something as illogical as that.

I think it's funny how this fan base over reacts when a veteran bridge QB, who has had a good career, has a strong possibility of starting over a rookie who may not be ready for week 1.  The future is Bryce Young, but this season isn't what defines him or the Panthers future.

Historically speaking the first overall pick QB will start week one. It’s rare to find one who does not, me saying that doesn’t define Bryce or his future it’s just using basic logic to choose the most likely scenario.

Agree with this for the most part. I think Robinson is a solid B fora 5th round pick.

Very reasonable, I hope he works out the more I watch him the more I like him. This guy is a dawg and he can’t stand losing which is a very important trait, you want a team full of guys like this.

  9. Bryce Young- A+(got our potential franchise QB, love hearing this guy speak he just sounds like a franchise QB. Hard working, insanely intelligent has all the mental intangibles of a franchise QB. I think we got something special in this dude!

Jonathan Mingo- B+(incredible athlete, great work ethic if he hits he hits big. Was a my guy this year, just thought we might have even been able to trade back and take him.

Dj Johnson- C(traded up for a 25 yearold rookie that we likely could have gotten with our later pick, combined with limited production. Saving grace of this pick is his freakish speed and power.)

Chandler Zavala- A(Awesome pick, investing in the oline of your rookie QB is always smart. Especially when his guy is an amazing athlete, scheme fit, paired back up with his college buddy Icky.)

Jammie Robinson- C+(Ok pick, worries me as a tweener between being too slow to man the slot and too small to play SS. On the positive side, he seems like a uber confident guy, freakishly strong for his size with 23 bench reps at 191 pounds. If this guy can use his strength to press WRS and disrupt their routes early I think he could be fine from the slot.

They probably liked his skillset more to compliment and maybe round out the rest of the roster. Antonio is closer to a box safety whereas Jammie is more a FS or nickel

Antonio Johnson spent a lot of time playing nickel in his college career. He’s a more natural FS, could hold up at nickel but would be a natural pro transition to FS. Robinson is a more natural nickel for sure, I just don’t think he has the speed at 4.6 to ever be anything above average. Could get absolutely torched by these new age slot WRS.
