LOL...the amount of whining directed at Rivera here.

This community put way too much energy in to finding things to complain about.
Bitching gets the clicks.

It's Cam Newton (CMC) and Rivera (Rhule) all over again.
Shocking to utilize your best player.

It looked like DJ rolled his ankle on like his first touch and I kind of felt that was a turf deal. It looked like his foot stopped moving before he expected it to.
It looked like that was from the near horsecollar tackle

Jesus H Christ. Whos going to kick now? That Elerbie dude? We have GOT to get a legit kicker in here ASAP. This bullshit is going to cost us a game this year. Should have just freaking kept Slye at this point.

We wound up netting 13 yards on the punt.... going for it would’ve been better than punting unless we could get a coffin corner punt out at the 1 yard line, which we couldn’t.
Our punter is typically very good.

Kinda seems like he doesn’t trust our QB or kicker. If true that is a bad look.
Nothing about not going for it on 4-6 early in the game suggests he doesn't trust our QB

It's one game. I know everyone is desperate to talk football, but this poo y'all are reaching for is ridiculous.
Agreed. These are the same folks who were angry when he was throttled down when he was approaching milestones in the past.

Of course we disagree that's fine. But what you are missing is Jon Gruden clearly has a different philosophy on the whole. His team had 82 rushing yards total but the Raiders are very plainly a passing team like much of the league. They got their team deep into OT not by running their rb into the ground but by spreading the ball around. Waller was their go to more often than not but they had other skill players they could lean on. Look I try to speak to Panthers fans about this but the emotional connection some of you hold with McCaffrey is too great. It's Cam Newton all over again. We will have plenty of answers this weekend I hope we are victorious.
The reason Jacobs didn't get a lot of touches is because he was dinged up. He was near the top of the league in carries last year (third) and the Raiders a more heavy running percentage team than we were. It might be good to research your theories.

I'm not particularly concerned with utilizing one of the best offensive players in the game. I'd be concerned if they weren't

I'm more excited about YGM than I expected to be. People have irrational expectations of young players.

I actually didn't hate that. Not fully trusting the kicker I'm sure factored into the decision. But pinning a rookie QB inside his own 5 yard line when the D-Line was absolutely abusing him all game seems like a pretty appetizing prospect. Force a turnover. Safety. Or at worst a 3-and-out and we get right possession of the ball right back where we left it.
Frankly I think Charlton isn't getting enough heat for botching a coffin corner punt so badly. Punting from the 33 to the 15???
Expecting perfect execution on every play is going to leave you a very unhappy person.

Surprising that nobody has touched him considering the need for kickers. I think alot of it could have been hype to drum up trade interest.

We punted from the 33.
That means the coach looked over at the kicker and decided that he'd rather just give the football to the other team than risk a 50-yarder.
True. But the original statement of only giving him one opportunity is false when he made 2 fgs

Was trusted to kick 3 times. Santoso was trusted to kick once and missed an XP. We have the worst luck with kickers. This has gone back for years a decade almost. Guano was good for a while but after the SB he fell apart again. Butker is a SB champion and a top3 kicker in the league while we continue to make dumb decision after dumb decision for another crucial position.
Santoso was 2/2 on field goals.

The broadcast was nearly unwatchable at times yesterday. Regardless of the the resolution.
-
His average was middle of the pack for punt returns yesterday. Basically not noteworthy in either way

. I didn't pick up an CMC being angry at all. Not sure what you saw on that.

Seems correct.

Did you watch the second half? How can you excuse a half of poor play calling while blaming it all on 2 very catchable throws that were off by an inch at most?
