Blewitt is a great name for a kicker.

'Why weren't you around much the first 4 weeks?'
Because it was like watching a circle jerk. WTF wants any part of that...
If happy fans annoy you then you have a problem, not them.

The same thing happened with the Hornets. Listening to WFNZ I would have thought we were already in the NBA semifinals after 3 games. Everything has to be extrapolated to an end. Small City Syndrome

They look worse than the stats show

I was interested in Fields and didn't understand the negative angle on him pre draft.
That said he's yet to show anything at this point to get upset over not selecting him.

Dumpster fire in full effect. I got nothing good to say or even pretend to say.

Someone said Sam Darnold has been asked to be Drew Brees. It was a response to that absurdity.
Someone is me. I will try to explain is to you.
Darnold was being tasked with carrying the offense even though they claimed all offseason they would not do that. It took several weeks for Rhule to get it through Brady's head that that's not the way to play with our OL, QB, and receivers struggling.
I realize you want a simple blame all on one person approach but that's not how reality is.

Mayfield has played well though. The only thing lacking is passing TDs. Everything else is good. You can't put the TDs on the QB completely. That's also affected by subpar play by your bigtime receiver.

The Browns fans have been rather down on Odell for his drops. Go to a Browns board and find a ODJ topic and see how many times the word drop appears in the conversation.

I wont be surprised if this year's QBs turn out better than last year's. I'd be happy with a Howell or Pickett. Guys who carry middling teams to some level of success seem to be the best QBs

Sam Darnold isn’t good at playing QB though. There is a long long long list of guys with better raw physical talent than Tom Brady and they can’t even occupy a practice squad spot.
The want of going to a run offense is because Sam isn’t a starting caliber QB. That isn’t much of a debate anymore.
Mac Jones wouldn’t die. He processes things quick and can get the ball out. His physical tools give him a low ceiling. But he already is a better QB than Sam. That helps a OL. Bad QBs like Sam make OLs worse.
All offseason they said they needed to make it so Darnold didn't have to do everything. Then when the OL struggled mightily and CMC went down Brady expected him to be Brees all of a sudden.

Where's the lie? Baker has had an elite running game, a solid oline, ODB Jr( yeah I know but dude was considered elite only three years ago) and Jarvis Landry is the ultimate QB security blanket. Annd he is average at best with all those tools at his disposal.
ObJ was waived because the team found him to be not worth the headache.

Our leading rusher by YPA is our backup QB lmao
I'm not sure that means anything at all. Sort of how averages work and regression to the mean.

I'd guess 14.

Mayfield might be overrated but OBJ did not get waived because of that.

I love Smitty but him being obnoxiously unfiltered is the only way hes going to get attention as media.

Could we upgrade? Sure, but he's not the issue. Getting our offense to stay on the field and score TDs is the big issue.
I believe you have to look at the player when evaluating if they should get another contract and not complicate it with what the other side of the ball is doing.

He looks more like a good backup than a great starter but he is good enough to start another year while we address other areas that our need is a lot more desperate...for the right price.
Is he worth re-signing? I'd say maybe. At a reasonable rate which may be at odds as being seen as a 1 year starter and not more.

A decent backup level player but they need to upgrade.

That's the line judge calling a pre snap penalty. Line judges don't address holding calls. Umpires call holding. Umpires line up in the offensive backfield.
