Thinking back to last week, I still can't believe the radio guys and others were going apesh-t over the whole "wait, we just offered" thing.

They weren't going to announce it if it wasn't happening.

They just want to stir the drama pot. At least I hope they are doing it on purpose and are not that naive.

You speak as though we're bereft of talent. Like Greenie says, a young QB of this caliber that hasn't even hit his prime yet doesn't happen. That being said, I'm good if it happens or not.

We have a few great and promising players. We have little depth and no offensive line. The floor of your roster is more important than the ceiling IMO.

It's true, but I have to say I really hope that in future drafts, we're not higher than them in the draft order.

There's more than one round in the draft and no rule stating trades are limited to within a round. The best case scenario is for the Panthers to be at the end of the first and the WFT trading up from the beginning of the first.

  4. I'd say this is the approach most likely to take place. I can't see this staff putting all their eggs in to one basket one year in with a new GM who made his name as a scout. They will try build this team the way the good teams have always been built. You need a foundation of talent, not a lone superstar. I can't think of a team that has been successful throwing their draft capital away like that.

But you said he had all of this leverage, if he really had all of this leverage he would make sure whatever team he goes to wouldn't have to give up much so he could be on a better team.  Wouldn't matter how many team were actually bidding.

If he was really a free agent so to speak like a lot of you think they wouldn't give up much at all.

He may have some leverage but it's not Jedi mind trick leverage.

There is no way that was a choke out. The defender’s arm was around the neck for about a second, and the forearm was even resting against the bottom of Mahomes’ helmet, as opposed to being directly against the neck. If it was a “choke out,” it was the fastest “one side of the neck being affected with the arm not even being in contact with the neck at all” choke out I’ve ever seen. This entire “choke out” thing is an attempt for the NFL to get Mahomes out of the protocol and into the AFCCG.

Pretty much everyone is saying it was most likely a brachial stun. If that is so unlikely then how could you possibly say it's a concussion?
