  1. I rather do it with the Packers. Both their 1sts, 1 of their 2nds, next year's 3rd, and Jordan Love should be enough. You address the QB situation by giving Daronld competition , and if Love works out a long term solution, picks to use at both D-line and O-line, and a 2nd for additional depth. Packers can go and get Aaron Rodgers on the of the best WRs in the class (Wilson, Olave, etc.)

Last year of his deal with a 21 million cap hit and Patrick’s cap hit is 36 million. It makes sense to do this now, maybe even get a first for it. They just signed juju. They should bring in young talent for this next phase of pm’s career.

I mean I don' blame him. Kirk got a bag, DJ got a bag, Davante got a bag, and Robison got a bag. He's a top 5 WR, he deserves a bag too.

  3. First off, JauarGator 9 is a good yotube channel, he talks about historic NFL tidbits. I watched this video and good God the redzone/goaline offense was horrible. Any longtime Panthers fans remeber this game? This was before I was even interested in football. I do know if this was Matt Rhule, y'all would be ready to crucify him.

Well his completion percentage is higher than Pickett. And a lot of the stuff you are saying about Willis they said about cam. But Willis seems to be fairly accurate.

True, but Cam did in the SEC, and set records while doing it. Wills is not coming with that much fanfare. I feel whoever gets him needs to coach em up, and Rhule has shown so far he can't do that.

  5. Eh I think the only team defiantly looking for a QB at this point is Carolina and Atlanta. Jags don't, Lions might take one with the 32nd pick (a la Desmond Ridder) but even then I doubt it, Goff would be better than what they can draft now.  Texans seems to like Davis Mills, Jets have Wilson, and I think the Giants are going to give Jones one more chance with Daboll as a play caller. Only other team that I think might be interested in Pickett would be the Commanders, but they just gave up 3rd round picks to get Wentz, and I do believe they are trying to compete. I doubt Atlanta wants him because they got their eyes set on Wills (Atl guy), or I could see the Seahawks trade up and draft Willis (similar skill set of Wilson).

    We're not getting Watson?

On top of all my personal feelings about Watson which I won't belabor here, the amount of draft capital money he would cost would have hamstrung this team for the better half of a decade. We aren't close to contending. We have bad pieces, and bringing in one good piece isn't going to elevate the entire team.

Rebuild the line, use the draft picks we're keeping to add developmental talent, roll with Sam, and leave our team in better shape for the next regime to take over next year.

The problem with that is, that is what's best for the Panthers franchise, we're talking about what's gonna save Rhule's job. I feel like he's gonna do something desperate in response.

Where do you draft Howell and with what draft pick? He's not worth #6 overall and he'll be gone by pick #106 most likely.

Around 12-15. He should still be there around then.

  8. If we're going Mayfield, then you might as well just draft Sam Howell. I really think Sam Howell is being severely underrated in this draft. I have seen games since he freshman year that he would lead comeback drives or at minimum put his team in a position to win the game (ex. see FSU 2020 RB clear dropped a 4th down pass). Keeping it 100, he was the reason UNC was not total poo this year, without him, they get 3 wins at best. I say trade down, forget Pickett, draft Howell and use extra picks to get some linemen.

  9. This whole Watson Saga reminds me of when the Hornets kept pursing Gordon Hayward for like ever. Ever since he was a RFA with the Jazz the Hornets did EVERYTHING possible to acquire him. When he did went to Boston I'm pretty sure they try to trade for him once or twice, and when he did finally come here (overpay no less) he's been nothing but inured all the time and ultimately hasn't moved the needle for this team much. If we do get Watson I hope it don't go down like this.
