  1. God you're .a real dummy aren't you? I guess if you're determined to misunderstand I will leave you to it
  2. I'm not contesting that Love was inactive. I'm saying it was Covid protocol. The fact that Boyle was a game day backup doesn't mean that the Packers saw him as second on the depth chart which is what you assert. It certainly doesn't mean that after one non preseason he has been 'beaten out.'
  3. But what you are explaining isn't the same as beaten out if Rodgers and Love are in the QB room and one of them gets Covid, neither can play. Imagine what happened to Denver being without QBs for that one game, except in the playoffs. Knowing that Rodgers can't play you want your next best option to be the isolated guy. Hence being active as backup, is not the same as being second on the depth chart. So unless someone inside the org has told you something it is merely speculation that he was beaten out. Where I agree with you is that Love is said to have been unimpressive in practice, but as you said he was working with minimal reps as the covid substitute so as not to be a close contact. I also agree that he is all traits he's a pure projection. My point is that as such he's not much different from Lance He would be a total hail mary but I would take that over TB.
  4. Thanks for the exclusive unreported information about the Packers depth chart. Absolutely fascinating. His being inactive couldn't have anything to do with QB isolation during Covid could it? Well no, that doesn't fit your narrative. Beaten out without taking a snap. Deng.
  5. Except that you aren't giving coherent reasoning. Beyond an I'm right you're wrong position. You cite rookie beaten out by MVP as proof of failure? You cite it might not work as reasoning? I'm not coming at this from a who can take us to a superbowl win next year perspective. I'm saying who can we get going in to next season that I can feel optimistic about.
  6. Ah right that was my mistake. Thought this was an exchange of ideas. You're just a troll. Got it.
  7. I can't follow your logic. On the one hand you hate the idea of acquiring someone who 'might be good.' So I guess you must hate the draft On the other hand, because bad quarterbacks exist on teams (known quantities at the NFL which Love isn't) that is enough to persuade you that he will never amount to a hill of beans. If he sucks and he might, you cut him. Costs you a mid rounder for the trade. To me that looks better than TB. But look if you want to hold out for Deshaun you may be setting yourself up for disappointment.
  8. I would think that's self evident. He is young on a cheap rookie contract (no risk), would probably cost at most a mid round pick and has upside. Of course it's not guaranteed. This is a thread entitled surprise QB, not dead certainty saviour of the franchise suggestions. You're welcome to feel however you want and you may be correct, but my suggestion isn't unreasonable. Sorry that it offends you so. You must be fun at parties
  9. So you expected a rookie in a season which lacked a training camp or preseason games to beat out Aaron Rodgers and start in the first game, or be good enough to replace him during his MVP season? Woof. High bar. I'm not sure how you can make a judgement on a guy who hasn't even had an opportunity to play in the NFL. He may have been overdrafted, but he was still a first rounder. He has the athletic ceiling of Lance without having to spend nearly as much capital. Even Lance only has a sample size of one college season and at a much lower level. If you can consider Lance an option, surely Love is no worse?
  10. Are you thinking of Deshone Kizer? Because this is Jordan Love's rookie season without a preseason. Pretty sure he's not done much wrong yet....
  11. Right. My angle is he will be cheaper than trading up, and a year red shirting Rodgers can only be a good thing. He must be feeling pretty unwanted right now.
  12. With the market as it is that might well be the price. I was hoping that we might get him at a discount since he is not only a wasted pick on their roster, but a direct threat, if they stick with Rodgers.
  13. Jordan Love. (He may be good value too, they might let him go for a 3rd or a 4th to appease Rodgers).
