Polar opposite seasons in 2018 and 2019. A level of scheme fit is necessary. Below-average arm strength and average release quickness. Tends to work into more condensed areas of the field. Steep drop in accuracy on intermediate throws outside the numbers. Requires top-notch timing for out-breaking throws as a pro. Saw nose of ball dive on some throws field-side. Spotty high/low combo throws against long boundary CBs when they play it low to high. Early issues handling Clemson's disguised blitz packages. Scheme created clearer reads and easier one-on-one throws. Took sacks he didn't need to

Burrow’s arm talent was actually his weakness. This is his draft profile weaknesses on NFL.com. He was smart not to throw with Herbert at the combine. Also this was about top QB picks not throwing at the combine not arm strength.  I’m just stating it’s becoming more common lately minus Kenny Pickett. I think you are just holding this against Bryce because you are frustrated at our situation and I understand that.

No one put Bryce on the Same level as Burrow.

Trevor was playing through a ton of different injuries in year 3 though.  Which impacted a lot.  Probably shouldn’t have been on the field often but they were trying to sneak into the playoffs.

    But even averaging things out…

its 65%, 4000+ yards, 27 total TDs and 8.5 win season.  Which doesn’t t seem realistic for Young

I don’t think these are crazy expectations for a no 1 overall pick. 🤷🏾‍♂️

  3. Nothing to worry about. Running backs are always available.

The changes to the oline should help the run game and especially help sanders regain his Philly form.

Then next yesr we get new backs or team friendly contracts.

Wolfcop is the kinda guy that gets outta the shower to take a piss.... Lets see how it all plays out...looks great on paper...and we all seen that before.

    Hahah. That made me laugh.

for me, we’ve been winning the off season since tepper took over, but we’re on our fifth head coach in roughly two years if you count the interims.

I think if fans want to wait and see what we actually do is justified.

This is what I keep saying. Do people just love to wallow in misery? Find something to do that makes you happy folks.

Some of you spout negativity with every post. If I was like that I think I’d avoid coming here. If you’re so convinced we will suck, go find something else to do.

Hey man, if pretending the team is something they are not is what you need to get you out there and supporting then do that.

But don’t act like folks who are being realistic are somehow less of a fan than you are. That’s childish.

  6. Oh god. We’ve now decided to co opt this dog nonsense.

this the same one of us bullshit again.

anyway he sucks. We dumped our edge guys and we’re realizing they won’t be easy to replace.

I definitely hear you but what were they supposed to do? I don’t mean in 2022 or even 2023, but the situation as it stood for the latest round of team building.

Did you want him to be given somewhere around 12 percent of the total budget, at his current level of effectiveness? And I absolutely understand the lack of sack opportunities that are reflected in that production but how was that really going to change enough to make 30 million a good idea?

I think it was literally at a point of no return.

We dismantled the defense to help Bryce because we don’t know if he’s good or not.

    We’ve just shuffled deck chairs.

they just paid two guards top money traded for a WR and set themselves up to take BPA and BPWR after the Burns trade.

    They made changes already.

Trading for Fields does nothing to improve our team for either the short or long haul because:

    a - He's not good

b - they already have Bryce so it would be a waste to add Fields for a meaningless QB competition

c - They want to evaluate Bryce with a better supporting cast

d - Fields is only under contract for this season so there is no incentive to actually play and pay him

e - it's throwing even more draft assets at a QB, something we have done enough of already

f - is for friends who do stuff together

g - we aren't expected to be great this season, we're going to evaluate the offense and make changes next season if necessary

The only reasons for trading for fields were:

    a - he run good

    b - it didn't cost much

As bad as Bryce was last season, he was still a better passer than Fields was. Fields was absolute ass garbage at throwing the ball and has been since he entered the league. He's an electric runner, but that is it. He can't read a defense, can't scan the field, scrambles into sacks, and can't throw with anticipation.

Bryce young was worse than fields though. That’s why they have our No 1 overall pick.

And if we did still have the no 1 pick we’d also be taking a QB at 1 and teams probably wouldn’t be in a bidding war for Bryce either.

Why weren’t all the teams that haven’t got a franchise guy banging down the Bears door for that price? Because he’s not that good

I don’t think he’s being brought in to eh a franchise guy or a starter. That’s likely going to be Russ. Particularly because they traded for him first.

that said, I don’t think the panthers fans should thumb their noses at a coach who has never had a losing season
