I hear you but if we can’t one of the top 2 QBs I would seriously resign Sam and wait.  Our team can get great with these picks and I ain’t done with Sam.

I'm done with Sam long-term.. but I wouldn't mind him in the short-term while our [insert] rookie QB learns the ropes.. especially if we end up taking Richardson..

  2. DE, Ioannidis - Y/N
    QB, Darnold - Y/N
    C, Bozeman - Y/N
    RB, Foreman - Y/N
    LS, Jansen - Y/N
    K, Pineiro - Y/N

Under Wilks, I would have said all but Ioannidis could get new contracts.. now under Reich it might be different..

Also, reworking Shaq might be done and he might just be cut.. I don't know. What u think?

I think they are not the same at all. Washington is honestly a good run blocker that has a freakish build and could probably serve as a 6th lineman/pass option in addition to being TE.

Washington is still pretty raw, but Ian Thomas was drafted solely for being an athletic TE. He honestly was good at nothing else, and that point has been proven (although I guess he has improved some at blocking).

The TE from South Dakota St. is another TE that could be worth a look

If we draft a TE - I want a TE that caught more than 45 balls over 3 years..

    7 in 2020
    10 in 2021
    28 in 2022

Dalton Kincaid caught 70 in 2022
Michael Meyer caught 67 in 2022
Sam Laporta caught 58 in 2022

There is definitely a good crop of TEs in this draft.

Mayer, Musgrave, Washington, & Kincaid all have potential to be studs to me. Hopefully 1 of Musgrave, Washington, or Kincaid is available with our 2nd round pick (Mayer will likely be gone).

Washington reminds me of Ian Thomas.. a huge monster of a man but there is no way he can run the route tree Olsen could run and the necessary shifty/speed to create separation from NFL CBs and LBs..

Musgrave or Kincaid are guys I think we can get with one of our 2nd rounders or even LaPorta or Latu in the 3rd..

  5. Right now there are some glaring holes on our Roster. You can rank them how you'd like but I think we are all in Agreement our Top 5-6 needs are as follows:

1- QB, a franchise leader for next 10 years
2- DE, pass rusher opposite Burns
3- TE, route running pass catcher
    4- MLB, leader and organizer
5- WR, depending on how TMJ progresses
6- DT, gap filling run stopper

    ---------------------------------------------

Obviously, you would like to draft people in all those slots and have them on rookie contracts for the next few years - but some picks will be misses and some position just might not have the best player fall to us in the draft and we will need to look for FAs to fill the holes. What position would you be alright with bringing in someone with NFL experience?
