If he has a good line and is as smart as they say, he could become a Brees-lite with the right OC.

Closest I’ve seen to brees is burrow, and Cincinnati is going end up maiming him.

Trey Lance flashed some really good throws. But also did a lot of bad, sacked 4 times in a quarter and 2 dropped ints.

    definitely a work in progress

about 3 mill in dead money over this year and next year, 3 mill in cap savings for next year.

    Interesting.

I core of bynes perryman carter and shaq does feel a little better

Wonder if Bynes makes Perryman expendable?

Was thinking the same thing. Perryman and bynes are both strong against the run, with perryman being more explosive but bynes being (seemingly) more available.

don’t know the cap implications of moving on from perryman

  4. They worked him out last week. Bynes played for the bengals last year but started 16 games and had 100 total tackles. He’s 31. From what I could tell briefly skimming through Twitter bengals fans seemed to like him and didn’t resign with cincy(i wouldn’t either).

I think he has a legitimate shot at making the roster if for no other reason than depth.

It seems like they're trying to come up with contingency plans if someone gets hurt or what have you, when our biggest issue is having an actual solidified starting 5.

Everyone acts like we have a division 3 offensive line but statistically the O-line was average last year and I don’t think they got any worse this off-season.

I think they’ll have a solid idea of the starting five after the second preseason game. Till then I think they’re giving everyone reps for, as you said, contingency plans.

Which I’m not mad at given that nature of football.

I think next off-season is when they’ll be able to allocate the resources to inject talent to the line.

This is what happens to a good QB without a good oline.

Them not drafting sewell after weeks of burrow getting not just hit, but destroyed 10+ times a game, culminating in him tearing every ligament in his knee was one of the sorriest decisions I’ve ever seen.

Burrow had a chance to be drew brees good

He is taught to pull back, but look at this from Ibe's perspective:

He is trying to make the team against the odds, so he is pressing to make a play.

It is the first day with pads on, which makes players itch for contact after 7 days (or so) of pretending.

Perfect storm for a play like this...he will remember this decision the rest of his life...hope Kirkwood can't say the same.

I’m not judging just saying what I saw.
