JJ and Ian Thomas are as good as gone.
they made their money and will have opportunities elsewhere so it isn’t like it’s a funeral.
just too much money for equal production found elsewhere on the roster

Corner is the obvious answer here. The state of affairs at that position here was pretty sad tbh

Would y’all trade Robby for a LT?

This d-line is gonna cause a lot of problems.
Wouldnt be surprised to see another round of signings come the June 1st cuts/Training camp.

College makes no difference at all.
I’m sorry you had to do all this work to prove such an obvious point to some people

We went 4-11 with Teddy. Was that worth $40M in cap space we'll never get back?
At the time when the decision was made, yes.

Teddy is trash and we paid him like a mid-level starter. If you're going to be forced to start a QB the level of a Teddy or Kyle Allen, go with the guy that's going to cost you a fraction of the price. If we had it to do over again, that's what we would've done. I'd bet money on that.
See last post.

significantly?
Then why did Kyle win more games than Teddy? And throw more TDs? despite playing in less games...and with a bad OC?
Kyle Allen went 1-4 last year on a team that made the playoffs, and almost beat the buccaneers in the wildcard.
The year before he threw for 16 interceptions and had 13 fumbles in 12 games started. So yeah I'd say Bridgwater is significantly better, in that he didnt have 29 turnovers in 12 games.
I would say good try but thatd be a stretch.

QBs the caliber of Teddy and Kyle Allen do. That's why we had to eat a good chunk of his salary to offload him. He's only hitting the Broncos for $4.4M this year.
Teddy is significantly better than Kyle Allen.
The panthers were desperate and Teddy was coming off a great showcase in New Orleans, it’s easy to sit here and criticize the decision but hindsight is 20/20.
He was brought in to be a stop gap and stymie the bleeding. What I think happened was the coaching staff was holding Teddy to task over the decision making and from there the relationship deteriorated.

Neither are good enough. That's what is important. Allen had the very key advantage of being a fraction of the cost. So yes, Allen at his contract was definitely better than giving Teddy $63M over 3 years.
*40 million for 2 years. Not a fan of the contract either, but quarterbacks don't come cheap.

What would've been the difference between Teddy and Kyle Allen? Hell, honestly Kyle Allen is better.
You’re talking about Kyle “the walking turnover” Allen?

Because dumb. I'm afraid we repeated that mistake with the Darnold trade.
What other options did they have?? March Will Grier out there to intentionally tank? Are you nuts? No self respecting professional would ever do that from a management/coaching level to a player level. The jets tried to tank last year and their entire coaching staff is gone, Doug Pederson tanked last year, he’s now jobless. Who was the Jaguars coach last year? Exactly.
As far as bridge water is concerned who gives af what he says, he won 4 games last year, pj walker won 1 by shut out(while throwing two red zone tds). Bottom line is the guy threw 15 tds with dj, robby, Samuel, and an in form mike davis, the cry baby can kick rocks.

Knowing this front office they probably are.
Would probably cost marginallly less than Watson due to age, but I mean the fuger just won an mvp standing in the pocket.
The packers are publicly taking the same exact stance the Texans were (we’re not trading him blah blah blah, meanwhile by all accounts Watson was basically a panther had that news broke a couple days later) so I’m not buying what the packers are selling.
I wouldn’t completely dismiss the possibility of Watson either. That case is going nowhere fast and the guys a top 5 qb at 25. Is he a horny boy? Yes. You’d be a lying hypocrite you said you weren’t too. Is he a criminal? No, criminal charges have even been filed so...
All in all, it’s a wild time at NFL high rn
if I had to speculate, darnold and 2 firsts would be a starting point, something a little north of the stafford trade.
Complete side note, Stafford is going to ball tf out with the rams this year

After the Teddy trade they have some room to fill holes with fa.
and after the draft vets on every team are going to get squeezed out and hit the waiver wire

How is JOk still out there? Injury?
I think he didn’t run and his other pro day numbers weren’t eye popping so people don’t think he’s as fast as he seemed to play. Complete guess though

Really like Humphrey
Jenkins is probably gone before us
I’m not an expert at oline play but I’d take a look at cosmi, and this spencer brown character definitely has my curiosity
trading back would make sense but obviously things have to come together for that to happen

If darnold throws for 30tds...

Once Mac Jones wasn’t gone at 3 it was evident a QB was going to be available. Supply exceeded demand
