You mean CMC's and Shaq's?  Those are new deals.  They are on the books for a while. Also, have you even seen Watson's contract?  Cap friendly this year before hitting ~$40 million a year after that.  But I get it, he's going to come here, rip up his contract and graciously take a huge pay cut just because the Huddle wants it so.

Na, I was talking Luke’s, Short, and a few others. He’ll get paid handsomely regardless. You a salary cap manager? Please tell me more.

After getting Watson and being cap strapped for the foreseeable future, the same people who are saying walk over broken glass an molten hot coals barefoot to make this happen will be the same ones saying we ruined another QBs career when we don't have the resources to put top-tier talent in other spots on this roster.

Not gonna be cap strapped when some of these awful contracts are off the books. Next....

Giving up so much for one player, no matter how great, on a rebuilding team is exactly the thinking that gets GMs fired.  You are never one player away from a championship.  It's the way fans think but realistic for a team starting from the ground up.  Despite what the homer's think around here this team is a long way from competing for the playoffs and giving up everything for Watson will not change that.  It would cripple this team for years.  Thank God there are smarter people running this team now.

Subtract Teddy this year, put in Watson the Panthers are in the Playoffs and possibly beating the Saints and Bucs at least once a piece. And beating the Falcons 2 times. The Panthers are a legit QB away from contending, as the defense is already mediocre enough and will get better next year.

We have about 15 major holes to fill while Watson takes a Cam caliber beating, I am just not sold.

Have patience and work the draft will lots of accumulated capitol, as there is plenty of talent to uncover without having to used top 5 rated talent, which isn't always guranteed.

This team has some odd fans. Get a top 5 QB? No. Let’s build through the draft and hope we hit on a QB! Yay! Let’s also win a meaningless game! Hurray!

DeShauns worth the next 3 first rounders if I’m honest.

I'm not advocating a complete return to normal, but we can start opening up a lot of businesses while wearing masks and implementing basic social distancing standards. I don't expect a return to full normalcy before next summer, but we have to start evolving in that direction and making the best of the "new normal" in the meantime.

The trickiest part to me is handling things like the restaurant industry, bars, theaters, etc. I've seen a lot of suggestions about allowing those businesses to open up at reduced capacity but I'm honestly not sure if that's economically sustainable for them. Restaurant margins are already razor thin. I just can't foresee a scenario where the service industry doesn't just get absolutely crushed by this thing. There are a LOT of bars and restaurants out there whose doors will never reopen (under current ownership, that is).

Went out Friday because the lady friend and I didn't want to cook.

Ran into a ton of traffic on the way to the burger spot here in Durham/Raleigh. Then, some dudes car caught on fire and it was utterly shocking the amount of traffic out that day.
