I say nothing bad about Teddy, though I did and do own my opinion of him as a player (though I also have not stated it in this thread). I have said nothing good about Darnold, who has trended down in this area throughout his career; the numbers shared in my post show that. Brady also gets very little mention when the offense's performance is discussed and while Teddy has a lot of film to draw from, Brady only has 1 year as an OC.

Agreed. I posted a gif of you beating a dead horse by telling us (as if we didn't know) how bad Teddy is. You took issue with it. Its cool. You want us to know how bad Teddy is. We got it!

Lets be honest shall we. You did not make this post for any other reason but..

A) To continue the shitstorm on Teddy and join the many that want to crap all over him

B) Speak up your hopefulness of Darnold (I think many are hopeful) but do so for a QB that for the most part was equally as bad in general. 

You try to disguise comparing you nearly equal piles of poo by complicating it with a nuance of comparing not only the color of the poo, but also the texture, smell, and location ( hence your mention of Brady)

But really....you just wanted to make a post of about how bad you feel Teddy is.  Congrats.

I skipped my sisters wedding in 2003 to stay home, drink Carolina Pale Ale I used to be able to buy for 4.49/6pack with a few bowls.

Kind of weird the video team there cant cut out the front end 17 minutes of the logo. I mean I get they want the logo but damn.  

Considering that Joe Brady is likely to be off to a head coaching job in 2022 meaning a whole new regime and offense is likely incoming,  if we did draft a QB I hope he sits all season and marinates. 



 

Post count here counts for so much. There are all kinds of crap posters here, but since they have been posting crap for so long they have a high post count and therefore often times get a pass. They often get called out by other posters but rarely it even reprimanded by mods. 

You just gotta lay low. This site is basically the premiere NEWS source for the team. Dont try to think of this as a place to have a "discussion". Just sit back and enjoy the way so many compete to be the first to report some tweet. They get dopamine hits from being first. Be grateful there are that many dopamine addicts doing that so any and all news/issues relevant to the team can be found here. 

I wont state numbers and I have no concrete expectations. I just hope that if he is the starter (until TB is traded or ruled as a backup, there will be a competition and the better player will start) that he can learn and improve week by week. 

Someone else said it best. He might be a 3 year vet but really because of where he was, that situation and Covid messing everything up last year, a full reset and treating him like a rookie seems to be the best approach,

Its just fun to think about what might happen. No matter if he is a bust, he is cheap. There is nothing but upside. I personally an excited to see what will come.

 

Pretty satisfied with this deal. I was ready to stand behind Teddy, but this kid is young and can be coached up. In 2019 rookie year ( pre-Covid) he wasn't all that bad. Dropped off in 2020 but due to Covid and all the limitations that placed I'm willing to put that year aside. 

Mostly I am glad we did not trade 3 firsts and CMC for Watson (god, what a scary thought some folks here insisted we do) or give up a lot to move up a few spots in the draft and take a gamble on a QB that may or may not pan out in the NFL. On that thought, we are doing the exact same thing with Darnold, but the buy in wasn't as steep to rol' the dice!

The questions seems to imply making a choice based on a QB that is NOT our franchise QB. Did I read this line right? Outside of getting a Mahomes or Watson or Rodgers type of QB which are considered franchise QBs.  What type of QB would you prefer?
I want our franchise QB to be a game manager. What does this mean? Essentially to me this means they have the football IQ, and ability to turn the dial up or down as the game dictates. Down 2 TD in the fourth? They can be a gunslinger. Up 1 TD in the fourth? They can make less dangerous yet accurate passes to move the sticks without turning the ball over. 

To me, a game manager can also be a gunslinger, but a gunslinger cannot transition to a game manager.  Just my interpretation of the terms. 

 

All the seemingly endless possibilities are too annoying and a bit of a waste to ponder upon. Whatever is going to happen will happen. Nothing any of us can do about it. 

At the end of the day, even if we roll with Teddy again I will support him and the team. 

But yeah..fug the Falcons!
