    Really?

That's not what his stats say :

    5r3xzn.jpg

He had rushed 5 times for -2 yds in 2020; had zero TDs.    (Sam has the edge here by far with 110 yards rushing and 5 TDs)

He had played 4 games in 2020; passed for 1 TD and got picked 5 times (Sam has been bad but he still holds the edge here aside from the picks)

i dont really do stats, im all about the eye test. also, pj walker has not played a whole 4 quarters, nor has he played multiple games with the ones. false equivalency. only way panthers are gonna know what pj walker is capable of is letting him play multiple games with the ones and 4 quarters.

Probably around Week 10-11, that’s my prediction. Then we’ll lose out with PJ. But you better believe there will still be the PJ Hive saying he’s the future.

pj will make some moves, the offense rallys around him, panthers will win a few, im gong with 3-4. this is all unlikely because i don't see rhule benching darnold regardless of what darnold does. bridgewater should have been benched after the vikings game last year, but he wasn't.

Sam has turned the ball over in literally every game he has played in Carolina but 1.   And in the one game he didn't turn it over...he put the ball on the ground multiple times (in Carolina territory).  Currently, running a nice 3 game streak of at least 2 turnovers per game.

I mean, you don't stay a .500 team with Sam Darnold either.

Darnold is a Kyle Allen, Henicke, PJ, etc.   Same tier QB.

the edge walker has on darnold is athleticism, not just running but being able to navigate the pocket and with an unstable oline, thats a huge plus.

Until this OL is fixed, rather patched up, Sam ain't doing nothing.  He makes poor reads and poor decisions under duress.  If he looks that bad from a clean pocket, then we will talk, but the man was running for his life yesterday.

But the OLINE has protected majority of the time since preseason. Yall have dont wanna assign blame to darnold cause you don't want the nay sayers to be right. Darnold had all day to throw in majority of the games hes played this season, he just came up against competition, and messed up. Darnold is a good qb, but he is who he is. Expect more plays, expect more interceptions.

This. This is how Chinn should ideally be used. Chancellor was essentially allowed to be what he was - a LB/S hybrid wrecking machine. We need a legit FS to free him up to do this. It doesn't have to be prime Earl Thomas, but prime Earl Thomas would be

Thats where kenny robinson should come in.

  6. In a league where you have andy dalton, ryan Fitzpatrick, ryan tannehill (dont let stats fool you, hes a game manager as they come), daniel jones, starting for their team? Let heineke cook, I don't use the word hater often, but yall are sounding like some haters, for real. And yes, heineke > darnold.

  7. According to the huddle, backups are not allowed to be starters. Goes against the status quo QB rule book or something. I'm always gonna root for the underdog, if ryan fitzpatrick can be given opportunity after opportunity, despite not contributing much to a team, then let heineke cook. Also, #PJWALKER2021 (if you thought it was over)

He is 44 and still playing at an elite level Peyton Manning broke down at 39 Drew Brees at 41...  He will likely become the second oldest quarterback to start a game this season (First in the modern era) that's it's insane I'm surprised more haven't adopted his wacky diet.

its not diet, tom brady has never had a bad oline, rarely does he get sacked. thats why hes still healthy.

He lost the fight in direct 1-on-1 competition...

I believe broncos are just trying to put themselves in a better draft position, maybe i'm wrong but i don't know how teams expect to win with just checkdown's.

I’m not sure what Sam is yet. I’m confident PJ ain’t it. We saw him in the regular season last year with Curtis, DJ and Robbie and he went 1:5. Before judging Sam id like to see him with those same weapons.

Context is important. yes, interceptions were made, but that saints game you're referring to where the oline pretty much gave up, pj walker was thrown in last and made to play hero ball for a game that was already lost. I don't hold the saints game against pj walker.

Teddy just won a NFL QB starting position in/with competition...

    ...Silver Platter Sam hasn't.

Drew lock is better, more upside. Broncos are probably planning to draft next year.

Do you think he can continue to put up huge numbers with no Mike Evans or Chris Godwin. I mean he has Michael Thomas for half a season, but other than that... its kamara town. I see big numbers for kamara, but i just dont know about winston. Maybe with the emergence of the WR calloway will help

That guy calloway is gonna end up starting. Saints still have a defense, panthers shouldn't sleep.

What made you like him randomly over Teddy that you were sold on this guy by seasons end?

I dont know about the other poster I've been a fan since the XFL, but I was sold once I saw the defense literally play better just because the QB played better. We talk about the 2nd half of the season & the defense, but it started with the Detroit lions game, that was the heel turn. PJ Walker came with that energy and the defense responded. Laugh if yall want,  but if matt rhule kept PJ walker in for the rest of the 2020 season? 9/10 wins.

I don’t care about QB stats - wins count, the only thing that counts.  If Sam doesn’t turn the ball over, moves the chains, gets the ball to his playmakers, who cares if the TDs are passing or rushing.

If the huddle can make threads about the stats of the backup qb's, then sam darnold's stats should matter. same energy.

    856 yards

    4TDs

    5Fumbles 3Lost

    66% completion

    66.7 passer rating

0-4, before being benched for PJ..."All I Do Is Win" Walker

Let's be reasonable here, we don't want to give the pj hate train any gas. My standards are a little higher than most because i don't see sam darnold as someone who needs to be coddled, he is a 4 year starter and has all the weapons at his disposal.

    33 TDs

    13 IN

    3,300

    25 RYs

this is the minimum for me.
