If Brown can be effective at 340 than I agree with Rhule to let him play with what he is comfortable with. That video of him moving around on the B-Ball court at 415 tells me he won't have any problem at 340.

    thats idiotic.

at 360 brown was near negative RAS.

    completely immobile.

20 pounds would just make him average at best.

For him to be the best version of him and the most athletic, he would need to be around 320-330.

Here’s a quote from the Rookies Diaries article on Panthers.com:

Panthers head coach Matt Rhule said he wants to keep a realistic goal about Brown's target weight, knowing that his frame is not conducive to being too lean.

    "I don't think he's ever going to be a 310-pound guy," Rhule said. "That's just not who he is. He's a big, powerful man. . . .

"I would love it if he was in the, ... most guys wish he'd be in the 330s, but he might be a 340-pound guy."

Based on this info, keeping his weight in the 330-340 range is a realistic goal. I’m excited about his and Moore’s potential to be fixtures on the OL for years to come. Our IOL has been weak for far too long.

    lol at big framed guy,

reminds me of when women say big boned.

naw you just fat and over eat.

brown can easily get down to 320-330 if he was dedicated to diet and fitness.

Let's just be honest, Fields sliding to 8 was very slim before they traded for Darnold. So after trading for Sam, they didn't want to look stupid, drafting Fields as Chris Simms kept pointing out. To me, they were worried about public opinion and value their own. What ever happens... sticking with Darnold over Fields/Mac is going to defined Rhule and Fitterer dynasty.

Tepper wanted Fields, but he let the football gurus take a swing.

I guess he doesn't want to come across as the next Jerry Jones.

naw, they get atleast one more shot to draft a QB high and see if that hits.

rhule signed a 7 yr contract.

he has plenty of cards to play before he bows out.

He’s haunted by ghosts now. I hate to say it, but he won’t overcome that. I’m starting to think this staff has no idea what a good QB is.  As much as I feel Cam is done this team would have won the same amount of games with Cam as they did with Teddy.

most coaches don't want a QB they feel are not good between the ears.

    cam was no spring chicken.

I like how taking a left tackle in the third round automatically makes Christiansen the savior due to Huddle logic. We already have Cam Erving, I don't see how this guy would be an upgrade on what we have and we already have like six tackles on the roster. The Bears line was atrocious last year.

Leno is way better than Erving.

Erving at a pff grade of 58 compared to Leno's 74.
