  1. Tire flipping is part of several programs. Crossfit does have a team tire flipping event. 1 mile tire flip among a 5 person team.
  2. that's probably the weight with rim and fully inflated, but it could be the tire alone. The one I was talking about, it was wide (diameter wise) and thick. To pick it up, my chin would touch the top outer wall. if I wasn't perfectly centered, it would just roll away. much too thick to simply push over at that point.
  3. Yeah that's young buck weight, man. Do you use a trap bar to deadlift? But back to the tire... 650 lbs? I gotta see this tire. I used to use one that was 350 and it was a bitch to flip because of its size moreso than its weight. IIRC, it was R55
  4. Any concrete makers nearby? Ask for some discarded rebar perhaps? I don't know. it does sound like a good idea to deadlift a tire.
  5. Did you ever put the deadlift handles on that tire?
  6. it does look fun, then I saw the registration cost.
  7. oh I know... I sweat profusely no matter how light or hard the workout. I have tried to skip rope for 5 minutes with every 5th being a double under. 2 minutes and I'm out of breath.
  8. if you really want a good burn, elevate your feet 24-30 inches on diamonds
  9. Your body strives for homeostasis, which will cause you to eventually flatline / reach your plateau. Changing your routines up can help combat that situation (to an extent). Think of it as P90X muscle confusion on a macro scale.
  10. Snacks are killer... Especially pre-prepared, packaged snacks. How would your kids feel about nutella on whole grain wheat bread, for example, instead of a cookie or a brownie?
  11. unfortunately, belly fat is the last to go. Be patient
  12. Deadlifts ARE easy. Then again, I'm not in high school doing 455 anymore. I might do 5 x 12 at 225 now at the most and call it a day.
  13. Oh. hill sprints - something i have not done in a while. and for good reason, yeah they suck. i do some double-unders on occasion and i used to bike a good bit. been sacking off.
  14. What leg workouts do you guys do that you hate so much? I do a little on the legs about every session - I don't really have a leg day. I usually just do hang cleans into thrusters, box jumps, or wall balls as part of my routine.
  15. I've been a slob for the past three months and I feel the difference. I'm trying to let myself go for a bit just to see a ridiculous improvement. I had gotten back into running shape over the summer - nothing spectacular, 20 minute 5k. I haven't done that since I was in high school so you marathon runners can eat it. But I'll be getting back into my routine come the new year. Right now I have this weird 4 pack/ love handle combo thing going on. that's going bye-bye.
  16. I use 2. I think. Its been like 5 years since I've made sweet tea.
  17. I think you should tell Lilly that the gangsta grip on the AR is adjustable. Magazines work better with ammunition in them. Also, scopes work great when the covers are off.
  18. Boxing and tennis can both be a pretty intense cardio workout. I think all you need to do is keep that up, add some weight training and your body will fill out naturally in a few years. When I was 18 I was about your same height and 160 lbs. I was Ridiculously skinny, but I was unbelievable cut. A few years later, I hadn't gained any fat, but I put on about 45 pounds in a matter of months. My shoulders and chest got massive. People I hadn't seen in years freaked out when they'd seen the transformation. Later on, I injured my back and stopped working out completely and got the gut to match my shoulders and chest. About 5 months ago, I got the go ahead from my doctors to get back into it. I got my six pack back rather quickly. I'm concentrating on flexibility and cardio to prevent future injuries.
