I went crazy watching that. For the record, that was NBA vet Michael Beasley he went around and NBA vet Kenneth Faried that he absolutely annihilated.

Also, I have a strong feeling that Kai will spend most of the season in Greensboro. I think he could definitely help the Hornets now off the bench but getting a ton of minutes in the G-League may be better for his development. Keep in mind he has not played basketball for very long and was not a starter in college. With consistent playing time I think he will develop into a monster.

Specifically, I think his defensive game could use some work. He's got all the tools but you could tell he was a little slow reading plays and that comes with reps.

Very similar to Robert Williams in Boston.

not having hayward was a huge blow...he was making a difference

monk is not a player when it counts...he would be first on the trade block, if anybody would want him

we have to shoot 3's, we have nothing else

and melo was horrible the last 5 games

Saw a picture of Hayward pre game in Washington in what seemed to be a workout.  He looked ripped.  Hoping he can make it back Tuesday.

Whenever THEY let the Hornet's finally open the doors this year it's going to be AMAZING.

Sorry, certain states open while others aren't says EVERYTHING you need to know.

    FREE THE HORNETS!

    OPEN THE HIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haven't a percentage of fans been attending games for several weeks now?

Now monk hurt again...on court in 4th down 20+

Twisted ankle. Agree, would have been nice if he wasn't out there.  4 more games on this road trip.  Need more energy tomorrow night.

they knew we were decent playoff team and came out with a playoff intensity.. we came out thinking this was any other normal regular season game and it showed.. we weren't ready..

they tested us and we failed the test plain and simple

And where the hell did Brooklyn come up with all this money on the cap? I dont EVER want to hear MJ say anything about not being able to keep a player cuz of the cap....

Other teams are paying for Griffin and Aldridge.

we beat these guys once this season....

INJURIES: Nets: LaMarcus Aldridge: out (rest), Spencer Dinwiddie: out for season (acl), Landry Shamet: out (ankle), James Harden: day to day (hamstring), Kevin Durant: out (hamstring).

No Harden or Durant.  We have been playing the best teams very competitively.  Let's go

Aldridge and Shamet are playing tonight.

    East Top Teams:
    76ers: + George Hill
    Bucks: + PJ Tucker
    Nets: +/-

    East Mid Teams:
    Hornets: +/-
    Heat: + Oladipo / – Olynyk, Bradley
    Knicks: +/-
    Hawks: + Lou Williams / – Rondo
    Celtics: + Fournier / – Tice
    Pacers: +/-
Bulls: + Vucevic / – Wendell Carter Jr, Otto Porter
    Raptors: +/-

    Conclusions:
    - Heat improved and I think they will solidify the #4 spot.
    - Hawks slightly improved because they were getting. nothing from Rondo and Lou will give them scoring off the bench.
    - Celtics slightly improved their scoring but their interior got even weaker.
    - Bulls improved but not sure by how much. Could be a threat now.

I think the Raptors adding Trent Jr. and Hood, while keeping Lowry are very interesting.

I think the Celtics will add another piece and move up the standings. Rob Williams is their future now.

Don't be afraid to add Wannamaker up there for the Hornets.  Needle mover.

    Bulls definitely improved.

Going to be tough push to stay out of play in for the Hornets

    Another guard?

Playoff experienced and good locker room guy. End of bench on young team type of player.  Can spot fill some minutes.  Rozier and Graham haven't been 100% healthy this year.

Is Hayward ok?...not playing at all in 2nd half?

Foul trouble.  Borrego took him out with 4 fouls midway through 3rd.  Hayward wanted to stay in.  Game got out of hand so Borrego decided to never bring him back in.

    Hayward’s been trash lately...

I wouldn't say that.  His usage has been down since Melo was starting.  Especially in some of the post all star break games. Let's see what happens when usage gets back to 25-28% range. His rebounds, assists, and steals have been great.  Will need more scoring/shots which is what I think you are referring to.

guys that are bought out will be jumping to title contenders.. not 5-10 seed teams (which we are)..

I know this season has been exciting for a lot of us - but don't get it twisted - we are not an attractive FA destination.. not to mention the FA big men this offseason won't move the needles for us.. the expiring $15m (Zeller) in salary dollars is worth more to small-market teams on the Trade Market than the FA Market..

we just have to make smart trades that don't disrupt the long-term success of the organization.. either you use the $15m now OR reinvest to lockup Monk/Graham.. if we use it to lockup Monk, we still have a huge hole in the middle of the defense

I say we flip Zeller now for someone like Myles Turner, let Graham walk and do our best to keep Monk.. if he cashes in with someone else - so be it..

Ball - Terry - Hayward - PJ - Turner = top 4 seed in East next year

You seem to know the potential buyout market more than me.  I agree that most bought out want a  contender.  However, you don't think there is a big that wants minutes and potentially rehabilitate image?  Show your potential on a team with cap space and definite need at C.
