The guys that said they would leave if Payton were hired are all talk. Hell, one is a mod. Just because of what was said if Payton were hired and I were zod I would just remove his mod privileges to help him on our the door since he would quit on his team that easy. In actuality we all know they are all talk and neither of them will actually leave if Payton were hired. People are quick to say what the will do if something happens they don't like but they almost never act on it. It is simply their way of trying to look tough by drawing a line in the sand.
I Don't like Payton but must admit he is a heck of a good coach and if wmhe were hired I would still be a fan regardless.

For everyone that says we must have an offensive minded coach how do you feel about Sean McDermont and the success he has had? Should the Bills fire him for one of the offensive guru guys?

Why would Philly give up Hurts?
It was just an example of somebody I would be willing to give up lots for and a big contract. Lamar Jackson I wouldn't give up that much for but if it were Jalen Hurts I most definitely would. I believe Hurts will prove to be a much better player than Jackson. I just don't think Lamar is worth what he wants in a contract and we would have to give up on compensation to get him.

Great runner, pretty okay passed. Not worth what he wants in contract in my opinion. Whatever we would be willing to give up for him, I would instead offer to Philly for Jalen Hurts and then see if I could not sign their offensive coordinator that everyone is freaking out about to be the next coach.

Uh oh, hide the pain pills from the tweaker.

I will keep this simple and say I will be happy with whichever dude wins the most and doesn't suck the ass out of the entire franchise as Rhule did.

I agree with you and like this so I'm going to print this thread off and show it to Tepper tomorrow morning when we do our usual Sunday meet at Golden Corral to discuss future team plans while eating some stale powdered eggs and our usual overcooked french toast.

He barely played last year, but in 2 games as a starter and another playing part of the game, he was 58% completion for 603 yards, 5 TDs, 2 INTs, with another 168 yards rushing and a TD on the ground.
That's not terrible for a guy who didn't play his last year in college due to D2 shutting down for Covid and was always going to be a bit of a developmental prospect to begin with.
Then this year you can't count that first game that he played as it was in a literal monsoon and then he got hurt after going 2 for 3 in his second game of the year.
I agree those stats are definitely not bad for a rookie with limited playing time the year before due to COVID. He could be a good project if gotten for something decent. Someone on here made it sound as if he was abysmal in his playing time but those stats are absolutely something worth working with.

Hasn't he looked pretty awful when he has played so far? I guess if someone believes they can develop him and get him fight he could be an option. As far as on the Panthers im not sure if I would take that chance with the quarterback hell we have been in recent years.

Wow how many NASCAR Necks are angry that Wiz Khalifa is rapping at the Daytona 500
I don't watch NASCAR and I am not a Wiz Khalifa fan either. Does that still make me a "neck" going by your hate filled biased hypocritical political agenda?

Being in a Shanahan offense helps... probably a lot.
That and also being simply a good developing player with a bright future helps as well. But as I said not many round here would want him because he was not the first overall pick. It's funny how teams can find solid players beyond the first overall pick. Kind of wrecks the whole "tanker" theory and mindset.
-
Brock Purdy is a very decent QB for a rookie but many here would not have wanted him because he wasn't the #1 or #2 overall draft pick. He will continue to grow in a very solid player I do believe but of course he has the gift of great coaching around him and a very solid team.

Gano has been lights out since we kicked him to the curb.
It's a Panthers tradition at this point. The only one we haven't regretted is Joey fuging Slye.
What has his career become since we cut him? Is he still in the NFL?

Derek Carr, draft a guy where we're comfortable taking one. Carr, rookie, Corral, and Darnold go into camp.
Now that just makes too much sense for some of the hot take goofs on here.

If Fitts thinks Corral is the answer just go ahead and fire him now and get it over with.
Im not saying he is the answer but by limited preseason and then injury you yourself can totally tell he isn't the answer right? If that is the case why are you a mod of team website and not scouting or a gm in the NFL? He may or may not be the answer and chances are no he is not the answer but what makes you so sure yourself? I don't even care for Fitt but you seem so definite on that judging by a partial preseason that he will never ever improve and absolutely not the answer. Just curious how you have come to this complete and total conclusion after a little snipet of a rookie preseason coached under Matt Rhule?

I agree but it still shocks me to see this for some odd reason. That guy looked as if he had no chance of even figuring out how to get off it once he fell. Poor old man probably has no idea he became an internet GIF or even what the hell am internet GIF is.

Well gosh, he is just an awful coach then. Reminds me of Andy Reed and how he has only won one Superbowl. He is obviously another awful coach nobody should ever want as well.
