You going off of last night or last week's game?

I’m going off of all of it.

PJ is 11/29 in the preseason. That’s 38% completion %.

    Will is 17/24 that’s 70%.

PJ threw 1TD and 5INTs in 6 quarters last year. He beat a Lions team that was worse than us when our defense balled out.

Grier played as a rookie under Scott Turner and Perry Fewell 3 years ago.

PJ may have been good in the 3 or 4 games in the XFL but the XFL was a joke, this is the NFL.

Grier was even better in college.

Theres a reason PJ went undrafted and sat on the Colts practice squad. Had he not balled out with all the other cast always in the XFL and had Matt Rhule to give him a job, he wouldn’t be employed.

Not saying Grier is great, but he’s better than PJ and fits our Offense better.

I will say the Will Grier pick still just puzzles me. He was never going to be a Air Coryell QB and even under the WCO his arm is very weak. Not his fault our scouting department sucked but he should have been 7th round at best. I mean he wasn't even good in college.

He wasn’t as bad as you think.

  3. Possibly. I’ve seen OL on the sidelines dipping. Specifically Kalil or Norwell (I think) a couple years ago and was shocked.

Chewing/Dipping isn’t as hard on the body as smoking but for athletes it still has its drawbacks. Also surprised the NFL would allow it on the sidelines.

  4. If I have to pick between the 2, I pick Grier. We have more invested in him and he is younger.

    This Preseason:

    Grier: 17/24 (70.8%) 175yds 0TD 0INT

    Walker: 11/29 (37.9%) 169yds 1TD 0INT

Both have spent about the same time with 2s and 3s.

Grier started his 2 games as a rookie when we were hopeless and Fewell was coach in 2018.

PJ threw 1TD and 5INTs in 6 quarters last season. He didn’t beat the Lions the defense did.

I would personally prefer them to bring in a vet. But between the 2, I really don’t see why it’s close. This isn’t the XFL. The only reason PJ is here is because of the Rhule factor.

So basically you are giving Sam D a pass for his interceptions right? He average one per game with a 58.9%. These are the facts. Plus have yet to complete a full season. But your not worried.

Considering this account was created 15 days ago, I’m guessing this is a different account.

No, PJ I’m not worried. Darnold situation was much different than yours when you do the offensive comparison. Darnold actually had a job and was drafted 3rd overall. While you were undrafted and cut placed on the PS where you belong.

Question: When is Darnold going actually start ????

Weeks 1-17 of the regular season. That is typically when starting QBs play. This reduces the chances of losing your starting QB to injury during the preseason and increases your chances of success by starting your most qualified signal caller during the games that impact your record.

Now since that has been explained, let’s take a second to address your grammar on that post.

”Question: When is Darnold going actually start ????”

The correct way to ask this question would be “When do you think Darnold is going to actually start?” OR “I have a question, when is Darnold going to start?”

Phrasing is this way makes it easier for the reader. Also there is an excess of punctuation that is not necessary.

While Rhule also added that he’s undecided on if the team’s starters will be a go, it’ll be nice (and fair) to see Grier at least work with the likes of Terrace Marshall Jr., Omar Bayless and Tommy Tremble, as P.J. Walker did in his largely positive performance

    That last part...lol

All this proves they rather go with Grier>Darnold

    mad-angry.gif

It was largely positive because the expectations from last season were dirt low. They are literally saying 10/21 is a positive performance for him.

Darnold is the starter, not going to change unless somebody gets injured.

Grier/Walker are both below average back up QBs.

I've never heard a word about PJ performing better in practice?  Also, how do you explain how PJ looked in his actual game time last season?

He hasn’t been. Grier has been taking reps with the 2s for the past week or so.
