Doesn't the Vikings defense suck?

If he doesn't have the athleticism to escape pressure, then why did we trade so much for him? This franchise is clueless.
He doesn’t have the athleticism to move around and he doesn’t have the size to stand hard in the pocket

Gross-Matos playing his ass off so he can get traded out of here

This was the guy explaining the offense to the OL

So do we get another injury excuse this week so Dalton can play the Lions and Dolphins and Bryce can come back after the bye?
Ready for the “well he wasn’t 100% and needs a little more time”.

Let’s see if Burns shows up
He won’t unless we are getting blown out or blowing another team out

Oh look who got injured again.
Fit needs fired for extending Jackson

Yes. The Vikings haven’t won a game either.
Yeah they have had more to cheer for the last 5 years

Our o line isn’t doing crap on running plays
Because our running scheme is literal zone left or zone right

This kid gets touched and the ball goes flying out. This is the 3rd example in his 3 games.

I don’t know who Jeff Stoutland is but let’s get our billionaire owner to write a check.
Stoutland won’t leave Philly unless he’s fired. Apparently the Eagles were his favorite NFL team growing up and he’s been there through 3 different head coaches.
I wanted them to get his assistant Roy Istvan when we fired Pat Meyer

I actually don’t think it will be that bad. I think we will have so many people on him everyone else will have a great day.
6 catches 70 yards 1 TD but the others destroy us.

A 7 yard completion on a hitch route on 3rd and 21 during the last 2 minutes of trash time while we are down 17

I don’t care if they use a FB or not. There are different ways to expand the run game. Wham blocks with 1 of our 8 TEs is a good start. Traps, Isolations, etc.

Okay so, back in training camp it was such a major news story that when they were going to have a sit down with the offensive line guys, Bryce stepped forward and said he'd like to lead the discussion and tell them how they needed to work in this scheme. It was an amazing show of his grasp of the system and the people involved in it, a real leadership moment foretelling how great he was.
They said.
Maybe the scheme is so basic that a rookie without even a pre-game snap was able to explain it. Imagine what a defensive coordinator with years and years of practice and observation could get from looking at it. And then turn a bunch of sack monsters loose with the knowledge that the scheme is that easy to pick apart.
The word we are looking for here is: roadkill. Wide-eyed roadkill.
We were confident that a rookie QB could explain the line's assignments and the theories that went into making up the scheme. A rookie.
And we're wondering why it won't work.
Yes. A top 6 pick in his second year, a 3rd year guy, a 6th year guy, another 6th year guy, and a 7th year guy couldn't understand it but a guy who hasn't took a snap in the NFL could explain it perfectly. Because it's that simple.
We run a high school offense. I'm not just being an average negative poster. I watch film and have a decent football IQ. We have a VERY simple offense. We have literally only come out in 3 different personnel sets (92% in the same grouping) and (if i remember correctly) 5 or 6 formations.

all of our running plays are a HB dive up the middle from shotgun while starting a raw 4th round rookie, a back up whose been here for only 3 weeks, and a full back.
we have no run game that puts the offense into 3rd and longs which allows the defense to pin their ears back against an already struggling interior O-line
Most of what you're calling HB dives that we are running are actually just RPOs with a run read at the midline. The linemen are just base blocking head up/playside gaps. Actual dives are slightly more complex but easy enough that everyone in the league runs them except for us.

I made this during training camp to predict the season. The first games have gone about what I expected. However, I think the second half of the season will be much worse than I predicted in July.

IMO this new league has an opportunity to prosper. First of all because all the betting junkies can help keep it alive when the NFL is in its offseason, and two it can be an affordable event for people to attend.
If they play their marketing right, it can turn into something nice.

It's 100% a scheme thing. These guys just don't fit in the type of offense they are being asked to run. These are down hill run blockers for a vertical power scheme. These guys are meant to fire off the ball and block gap assignments to the second level not pass blocking 50 reps per game and casual zone runs.

Not saying this to be funny- being serious. But we look almost identical to Green Bay. You really could put Panthers jerseys on them and it would look like the same offense.

Yeah Jimmy Clausen wouldn’t have any either if all of his passes were behind the line of scrimmage
