I don’t think this fan base could survive another undersized QB with a weak arm.

Lol. I’ll believe it when I see it.

#1 pick here we come, can we not pick a midget noodle arm QB this time please?
What QB is worthy of the #1 pick? None of the top QB prospects are exactly lighting it up this year

Signing 2 highly paid guards was always a stupid move. IIf you don’t have the confidence in yourself as a GM to find a diamond in the rough interior lineman in the draft or free agency at a cap friendly rate, then have no words for you.

Fire Canales and hire Jesse Minter. Great DC from the Harbaugh coaching tree. Look at how well coached the Chargers look compared to us week in and week out on both sides of the ball
-
He should start on Sunday. He can't be any worse than our two starters. Evero plays a vanilla base cover 3 anyways on almost every play (lol), so all he has to do is play a basic hook/curl zone like he's been doing since HS.

Imagine XL making that catch Nico Collins made earlier

Unless you're on defense in which case you're riding the pine behind someone who should be loading trucks at the local Amazon warehouse.
Just shows you the lack of cohesiveness among the coaching staff. I'm guessing there's tension in the meeting rooms

The more I hear Canales talk, the more I wouldn't lose sleep if he's canned after this year. I don't think he's the guy for the future, so why keep him around? I'd love for us to clean house and start fresh with a new front office and coaching staff.

Canales creates the depth chart pretty much on where you were drafted. Top 3 round pick? You’re automatically starting for at least 2 years.
-
We had Frankie Luvu. Too bad our cooked DC made him go running out of NC for dear life to DC.

Odds that Canales trots out Zavala over Brady Christensen only for him to give up a few sacks and then make the switch in the 2nd half? I’d say close to 100%. Always reactive than proactive.

14 catches for 73 yards on 32 targets since then. He just doesn't trust Bryce to throw him the ball anymore.
If he can't bounce back after getting hit over the middle from a player half his size almost a year ago, then that's on him.

Yes. Big surprise that the man that couldn't even operate a pizza joint even with his name value in Charlotte can't run an NFL front office. Can't get over his 2023 and 2024 draft classes. Taking XL, Brooks, Wallace takes a special skill of incompetence. Can't get over his plan at MLB. Was apart of the Fitterer team and their comedy of errors. We need fresh ideas in the building next year not only at GM, but in our scouting department.

Are you doubling down for the Falcons game? If so, post your bet slip

A small way to help Young next week is to bench Legette. Brycen Tremayne needs to be the starter but I'm sure it won't happen. There's no player accountability from the coaches. We would have been better off if XL never saw the field yesterday.

What are you expecting or hoping to see out of Bryce?
Yesterday absolutely killed any sliver of hope I was hanging onto. When we recovered that onside kick I was thinking, okay here's his chance. He's been having a really good second half while the opposing D has been playing soft protecting a big lead, his confidence had to be brimming, so let's see it. Here's his chance to actually show us something in a meaningful situation with a chance to go to 1-1 vs. 0-2. That's a massive difference. Historically speaking, your odds of making the playoffs are about 44% at 1-1. They plummet to 12% at 0-2. At 1-1 your season is very much alive and you're in the fight. At 0-2 you're already in panic mode because if you drop to 0-3 now you have a 3% chance at the playoffs statistically speaking. Your season is practically over before a leaf has changed.
Anyway, I got sidetracked... so, Bryce takes the field with a legit opportunity for a meaningful game winning drive while playing well and what happens? He IMMEDIATELY reverts back to looking terrible. Looking timid. Looking unsure. Taking bad sacks. Missing throws badly. The refs threw flag after flag after flag giving us second and third chances and he just couldn't do anything with it. Oh, and I should add... all of this game against a defense that was missing practically it's entire starting secondary due to injuries at this point. It was an absolutely golden gift wrapped opportunity and he absolutely blew it. He didn't just blow it, he didn't even give us a chance. Practically every other starter and most of the #2s in the league are at LEAST gonna give you a fighting chance in that scenario.
I've seen enough. I'm all the way out. This dude ain't it and those last two minutes proved it for me. Bryce seems like a legitimately good guy. A guy you'd be happy with your daughter dating. But he ain't an NFL QB.
C'mon man. We're 2 weeks into the season. When Hendon Hooker inevitably plays bad, what do we do? Go back to Bryce Young and look even more like a clown show? I'm not a Bryce Young fan at all, but it's week 2... We shouldn't be pulling the cord this early for a player who had a 36.1% QB rating and was cut after 2 seasons as a 3rd round pick. I get that the backup QB is the most popular player for fans, but he's not the answer either. We made our bed with Bryce Young, now we have to lay in it

Falcons did really well in the draft. Plus they signed Devine Deablo at MLB who we should’ve went after. Nic Scourton looks non existent out there. I’m afraid he’s too small for a DT and too slow/non twitchy for an edge.

Screw Atlanta. Divisional game. Anything can happen. I’d rather not accept defeat on Sunday night like some of you.
-
Couldn't we have signed Deablo for LB? Guy has been everywhere tonight. Another Dan Morgan blunder. Get him out
-
I'm probably in the minority, but I don't want to see Bryce Young benched yet. Especially for Hendon freaking Hooker. Sorry.

It's been great seeing him play so well. I knew he would. Can't help but to feel ashamed of the team we have surrounded him with. They'll be no reason for a Cali kid to stay in Charlotte if we don't get our act together fast.

Almost all NFL QB's have had great games here and there. Consistently being a top 5 performing QB week in and week out is what makes you elite.
