  1. I'm with ya brother. Like I said. Next year we may not be world beaters. But getting there is going to be a blast. Says the driver.
  2. I think it's funny how much ppl hate Sam. He will never get credit for anything from them. They bend over backwards to find something negative. It really is entertaining as heck.
  3. Damm you are something. You posted 43 yards. Which is one game. You cherry picker. Sam led the league in passer rating the 6 games before that. But that doesn't fit your pitiful narrative.
  4. Do you even read what you post? The ONLY thing in that post I agree with is "We need actual talent" the rest is just you fluffing the bust stigma.
  5. IF, blah blah blah. I just think it's funny how you jump through hoops to downplay the fact Sam had a decent year. I know...it's a tough pill to swallow. In the last 6 games, before yesterdays debacle, Sam led the league in QB rating. OUCH.
  6. Man this is fun. Sam played rather well this year, and it is driving ppl nutsoid.
  7. I can't believe we have fans that are so upset Sam had a decent year, that they jump through hoops to post something negative. "Oh no, there are ppl on the Huddle that want Sam back". UM...No there is not. But you Sam haters just keep regurgitating anything you can to dismiss the fact we dam near made the Playoffs with SAM.
  8. First bolded. there are still plenty of bad QBs in the league. So... Second bolded. Give him credit for having a pretty good year. For taking a team that was 1-5, and almost making the Playoffs. Busts don't do that. Third bolded. What Playoff QB would you see us actually getting? That deflection allowed you to skip past having to answer the "Who should we bring in" question. Fourth bolded. You have no idea what goes on behind those gates. It is just as easy to say Sam can be a mentor, as it is to say otherwise. Just because he has had a rough career, does not automatically eliminate him from being a mentor. In conclusion. Your hatred of Sam won't even allow you the possibility of thinking this year has shown that maybe, just maybe, there is more to Sam that meets your eye.
  9. I give up. You will never give Sam one ounce of credit. So much so, you firmly believe he can't even be a mentor. Man are you stigmatized. And you have yet to name just 1 QB you would bring in to do all those things you want from him. And yet not start. Let's here it.
  10. The "Immaculate Reception" was a fluke play. Should we downplay that as well? Sometimes you are the hammer, sometimes you're not.
  11. You know, this idea intriques me. Draft the best QB you can get and let him and Matt fight it out. Tanking without trying. Who would see that coming?
  12. Oh I get it. Running game good. QB play bad. Except for the last game, Sam played well this year. Way too many ppl, for whatever reason, just refuse to acknowledge that fact. Nobody is PIMPING Sam. And I am sure NOBODY wants him as our permanent starter. But it scares you so much you refuse to even admit he played rather well this year.
  13. I've already said that twice. We need a Vet to mentor our kids. And probably play a handful of games. You have yet to even propose a QB for that position. C'mon man. You have no idea how well Sam could do as a mentor. To dismiss him out of hand is just disingenuous.
  14. Too many ppl still clinging to the past. So what if Sam has had a bad career. THIS year he showed there can be improvement. Isn't that about all you can ask for? Wilks is coach. Sam may be back New coach. Who the heck knows
  15. You act as if there is a stigma attached to being capable of running the ball. Very few teams can win without it.
  16. And just who is this QB that can do all that? You saw that list. There is precious little QB help waiting to save us.
  17. If Wilks is retained. I could absolutely see Sam being brought back to hold the fort, and mentor the kids. However, a new coach may have other ideas. Which right now seems like a step up.
  18. Truth be told. One way or another, there is a huge possibility that we will have both a rookie QB and a 2nd year QB. We HAVE to bring in a Vet. One willing to play a few games and help mentor the kids. Next year may not be anything to write home about. But it is going to be entertaining getting there.
  19. I see what you mean. I don't really see a solution. But if we draft another QB, we will need someone to help mentor both him and Matt.
  20. And how many of those would you realistically be willing to bring in as a starter? I'd take Minshew. As an aside; I can't even fathom that Chad Henne is still in the league. That boggles the mind.
  21. There are ppl that would be ok with Sam as a bridge. In the right circumstances. But as a starter? Not many want to hitch their wagon to that particular choice.
