Run the damn ball and don't let them run the damn ball..., keep their defense on the field to tire them out and keep ours off the field to keep them fresh... when they're tired slice them up with PA with BY... that's about as much as an identity we've had this decade.

Give me Brian Flores if Dave doesn't pan out.

No, this was not the reason. He didn't go where he was mock because one, he wasn't a first round talent no matter how much the media wanted him to be, and two, no one wants a sensationalized celebrity backup QB that brings unneeded media scrutiny to the team. It's the same reason why Cam wasn't a back up from 2022 to now. 

I know his performance wasn't great against the Pats but the man has been an absolute boon for us otherwise. When was the last time we were proactive in figuring out something before the majority of the league did?

Looking ahead to our 2025 Week 12 matchup against the 49ers, I can’t help but draw some parallels to a game that’s etched in my mind: Week 11 of the 2013 season, when Cam Newton absolutely balled out against the New England Patriots. That game felt like a turning point for Cam’s career and, honestly, for the whole franchise. It announced to the world that Cam was here, and that the Panthers were here to be a contender (for 5 years at least) The way Cam not only led us to a win but also announced to the world that he was THE QB of the future for the Panthers was unforgettable, and is still my favorite game ever.

Now, with Bryce Young coming into his third season, there’s a lot of pressure on him to make that same kind of statement. Could Week 12 in 2025 be his Cam moment, where he finally breaks out to the world? 

Or could it be the game where BY officially flames out as a Panthers QB, and we're looking ahead to the 2026 draft?

Las Vegas Raiders: Jalon Walker, OLB, Georgia

Pete Carroll has always placed an emphasis on drafting pass rushers and addressing the defensive front seven. Las Vegas could use linebacker help as well. Having Walker at Sam linebacker could be similar to Carroll using Bruce Irvin as a Sam in Seattle, and give the Raiders a pass rushing trio with Maxx Crosby and Tyree Wilson. Walker is also a high-character leader who will help the culture reset under another new regime in Las Vegas.

Walker is a dangerous edge rusher for the Bulldogs, showing speed and athleticism off the edge. In 2024, he had 61 tackles with 6.5 sacks and two passes broken up. Walker had five sacks as a rotational player in 2023. The 6-foot-2, 245-pounder is too undersized to be a base edge rusher in the NFL, so he will have to be a linebacker who rotates to rush off the edge in the subpackage.

Carolina Panthers: Mykel Williams, DE, Georgia

The Panthers need a true replacement for Brian Burns. Williams gives them a talented edge rusher that also has size to defend the run.

In 2024, Williams had 21 tackles, five sacks, and two forced fumbles thus far. He missed the month of September with an injury. Williams totaled 16 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and two passes batted in 2023. As a freshman backup in 2022, he recorded 4.5 sacks and 28 tackles. The 6-foot-5, 265-pounder has a lot of upside and an excellent skill set.

Pick change: previously Jalon Walker, OLB

Team sources feel this is one of the most difficult drafts to project in many years. Teams picking in the middle and late in the first round say it is very difficult to confidently project who will be on the board when they pick. The lack of top quarterback talent and a lack of elite prospects for the top 10 are why this draft is more difficult to predict for teams and the media. However, one pick that is said to be all but a done deal is the Carolina Panthers taking Georgia linebacker Jalon Walker. Walker fills a need for a pass rusher and is also a culture fit for the Panthers’ regime. Perhaps the Panthers are being very discreet about their true intentions, but team sources feel that Walker to Carolina is a borderline lock for the first round.

Raiders (No. 6) and Saints (No. 9) will be the true inflection points in this year's draft. 

Just so people get the scenario... there is no good offer to trade down. Assume the phones aren't ringing. Whoever we draft, we draft at 8, reach or not. 

Assuming this is the way the draft goes and we can't trade down, who do we take at this point?
