  1. I feel like our offensive line success is a bit of a mirage at this point due to the scheme of quick passes and lack of deep shots.

I don’t think our line is as big as a strength as everyone thinks it is. it’s definitely better than last year but I don’t think it’s a top ten line.

  2. Fwiw, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th we got equate exactly to what the 32nd pick in the draft would be.

We essentially got the “bills first rounder” for him (assuming the bills were to win the championship and that the Dolphins didn’t forfeit their pick).

There is very little chance we win another game. So we’re sitting with pretty much pick 1, 32 (only 31 1sts in 2023), probs around 45-55, 63, 76-86, 100, 120ish, and on.

The tank is for real obvious now so you have to imagine a few more of the guys who are dying to be with a contender are requesting out.

And we have ammo to trade further up into R1 if there’s another top talent we love.

Full reset on offense folks. New coach, new everything

I don’t think we have 63 next year. We traded that already.

This is the first time I've felt hope in the last two years oddly enough. Like we've finally admitted this was a poo show and turning the page.

This is where I’m at also. Somebody finally was smart enough to press the restart button.

Love CMC. An all time great panther and a helluva nfl pro, but we needed to get something from him to move forward.

    Never. Pay. Running backs. Again.

  5. This stuff reads like any bad sales manager I’ve ever had. Most often the people in charge of leading other people have zero clue on how to actually do it and generate results.

They often mask their insecurities by regurgitating the “tried and true” sales method philosophies that have failed miserably dating back long before them.

You want a good head coach?  Get someone who relates to the players, someone who knows how they think and why they think that way. That someone is Demeco Ryans.

This might be one of the least liked rosters in Panthers history.

Baker - Spoiled brat who doesn't like Panthers fans.

    Sam - Dahmer level detachment.

Robbie - Barely strings words together.

    DJ - I can't remember anything he's ever said.

Brown - Might be more boring than a DJ interview.

Shaq - Always fed up and barely hiding anger.

    PJ - Rhule's lickspittle.

Ian - never has much to say and screws up nearly all of our run plays, don't forget feet for hands.

CMC - Not a leader, too positive to the point of being fake.

I guess I like CMC alright, but what a disappointing team.  Flush 2022 already. What a tragedy.

I have zero connection with any of these players. That’s a huge part of what is missing from the Cam-Luke-Olsen-TD days.

We had a head coaching problem but we still have a major culture problem.

Some people in this fan base are just completely clueless. This article was long over due and honestly should have been much more scathing, but give Scott credit, someone finally called out this owner.

this is all you can ask from your local media. To hold the incompetent ones in power accountable, but yet many in this thread are bashing Fowler. Laughable the mindset of some who root for this team.

unfollow and go follow the will Kunkels, joe persons, David newtons, and who ever the observer is employing on the beat this week of the worlds. I for one appreciate this from Fowler and hope it’s just the beginning.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m honestly stunned Tepper has any supporters left. I’m no Fowler fan but props to him for writing this. Richardson should have had a similar one, Jordan needs one as well.

it’s time to take the kids gloves off with these billionaire owners in Charlotte and start rocking the boat a bit.

What a lot of head coaching candidates don't like is having decisions made for them.

Again, I'd let him make that choice.

Are we hiring a head coach with personnel control or are we hiring someone to coach the team while Fitterer and Morgan build the roster?

If it’s the later, then it doesn’t really matter if the coach has a problem with those decisions.

If it’s the former, then I agree; but we have a whole new set of issues at hand to deal with (mainly, what is Fitterer and Morgan’s role in this transition period).

If you really want to lure a great head coach, trading away some of our best assets isn't the way to do it.

An attractive head coach doesn’t view an oft injured running back with an albatross of a contract as a “best asset”. A nice piece, sure, but most definitely something that will hinder that new coaches ability to facilitate a roster as they see fit due to the financial constraints.

  10. Absolutely

We’re so jaded by being division rivals, and rightfully so, but would any of us feel the same outrage about bounty gate if the Dolphins had been doing it instead of the Saints?

We hated Payton because he and Brees owned us.

Id take him in a heart beat. He’d have this team competing in year one and would have us as a contender with that rookie qb within 3 years.

  11. Remember when Tepper insulted that fan at the bills game when he asked if Rhule would be fired?  “You drunk?

Remember when Tepper insulted a large contingent of our fan base, who had been calling for Rhules head, by calling us basement people?

I can’t wait until he has to sit down in front of the press and answer for this mess. Turns out maybe he should have listened to the drunks and the basement people prior to the start of this third year.

Not really, but I get there's a bias toward younger guys these days because everyone wants to find the next McVay. Unfortunately, you're just as likely to find the next Joe Brady.

Ryans only has about five years of coaching experience. Dorsey, Johnson, Callahan and LaFleur, while they're all relatively young, all have at least ten.

Id be extremely careful throwing this out there. Brady with some experience up in Buffalo could be a promising candidate for an OC job in the future.

Id imagine anyone with half a brain in the nfl circles are gonna look at what a train wreck Rhule is and not completely hold it against him.
