Chiefs
i like Reid and Mahomes.
I don’t want to see the Bills win it. Too much salt in the wounds seeing our guys be so successful.

Wilks looks like a guy who knows he’s not getting this job.

Vrabel is just a solid coach. That team is ravaged by injuries but he keeps them playing hard.

Yeah. I hope New Orleans plays their guys. Would like to see a little more of Sam to see if he’s gonna have a market this off-season for his services. If not, I wouldn’t mind bringing him back as a backup or stop gap.
Want to see if DJ can hit 1,000
would like to see the offensive line put out a dominating performance to finish off the season.

Harbaugh
Bryce Young
Houston goes rogue and takes Stroud. We trade our entire future to get Young.

Here we have another thread that outlines the fact that our GM is quite possibly in over his head. The lack of depth at DE is a major concern.
Im willing to give Fitt a pass and say that Rhule was driving the bus, but if he neglects pass rushers again; he needs to go.

That’s doing a disservice to her. Her team won games.

Obviously this takes second seat to the health and well being of Hamlin, but we very well may be watching the straw that breaks the nfl’s back. The juggernaut has a weakness and it is on full display.
Hopefully we get word that he is making a recovery soon.

Would love a Ryans hire. His energy is infectious and he has developed guys like Warner, Hufanga, etc into great players.

The refs had multiple opportunities throughout the game to really turn the tide in Tampa's favor, such as DB's borderline late hit on TB12. They didn't flag it. The refs were the least of our problems.
Not arguing that. I thought that game was well officiated. That play was not well officiated and put us behind the eight ball.

Norman barely played at all.
Darnold played well, he had some turnovers though. His interception was a good read but a bad throw. The fumble that cost the game was a blindside hit where ickey got made to look like a turnstile and Darnold had no time to throw because of it. He got hit pretty fast on that play.
Let’s also not forget that the refs gifted the Bucs a penalty that backed us up to the 13 as opposed to calling the facemask on the Bucs which would have resulted in us having the ball at the 38. That completely changes the complexion of that drive and what plays we call in that situation.

Yesterday was rough. But as a whole, he’s taken a team that wasn’t “his” from the beginning of the football year, and taken them from poo to average. He’s done something to uplift multiple guys, including McAdoo, who’s offense looked abysmal half way through the season.
I’d be completely comfortable giving him a 2-3 year deal, which in reality means 1 year to see what he can show. If the team doesn’t get better, or build upon this year, then part ways.
I don’t know the behind the scenes, but Holcomb doesn’t seem like the killer DC we need. That’s my main concern. Wilks seems tied to him fundamentally. Would he be able to let him go if things don’t improve?
McAdoo may have saved his job, but would Wilks look to upgrade from him too?
Basically my main concern is the coordinators he is or will tie himself too. That makes or breaks many a HC.
I do think HC, as defined by OP, is indeed a managerial, delegation heavy, leadership role more than anything, and he seems good at it.
The key is the people he’s delegating to. I’m not so confident in them.
Im probably in the minority here, but I didn’t think yesterday was rough. We went toe to toe with the GOAT in a situation in which he never loses and had an 11 point lead in the fourth quarter trotting out Sam Darnold, minus CMC, and a receiving crew consisting of terrace Marshall, shi smith, and Shenault.
We were also down our first and second corners.
There’s a couple moments in yesterday’s game you can point too on Wilks and say he needed to be better (the short fourth and one and not calling a timeout on the delay of game), but other than that I thought he had this sub par roster in position to compete and they did.

How long we gonna sit around here and let Fitts get a pass?
The perceived strength we had at corner going into the season was nothing but a mirage.
The lack of defensive end depth was no mirage. That was evident in august, yet here we sit with projects like YGM, Haynes, Barno, etc.

Panthers are not high on Stroud so it'd be for Levis or Richardson
They love Young but it's all for not
If the Texans take Stroud, we will mortgage everything to go get Young.

I thought the oline played well. Ickey had a rough play at a crucial moment, but Darnold had time. Nobody has success running on Tampa so that wasn’t a surprise.
The dline was decent as well. Three sacks is the most against Brady all year and we held their running game in check.
This game falls solely on the cb play, or lack there of and the defensive coaching.
I was stunned we had no safety help on the 2nd and 3rd tds to Evan’s.

Yeah the best we can get is pick 6 if all goes our way today and next week.
Yep. I’m thinking 8 is probably where we fall.
I can see the Falcons beating the Bucs but can’t see the raiders beating the chiefs or the Rams beating the Seahawks
-
It looks like we are currently in the eight spot with a chance to go as high as six or as low as nine depending on what happens the rest of this week and next week.
Can anyone confirm that?
http://www.playoffstatus.com/nfl/nfldraftorder.html
basically next week is pretty simplepull for a Saints win
pull for a Falcons win
pull for a Rams win
pull for a Raiders win

I don’t mind retaining Wilks, but if it comes with an Al Holcomb defense, no thanks. If Wilks is willing to pivot off Holcomb to another coordinator, then I can handle Wilks as HC.

We made no adjustments on Evans. Same play, three times.

What. Was. That. Henderson.

I love the aggressive play call. If he puts that ball another three feet higher Sullivan is the only guy who can make a play.
id rather them go down swinging than play conservative ball.

So who we rooting for in the playoffs?
in Carolina Panthers

I’ll add that I definitely don’t want to see the Jags win it before us. Our expansion bros don’t need one before we get ours.
