  1. Happy Birthday!

Some of our posters on their high horses continue to forget is football is a fierce competitive game and to survive in that league you need that attitude, you've got to be aggressive or else. I'd like a team of 53 Smitty's but the soft batch cookie fans would cry about our team of "bullies". You get what you deserve Charlotte.

The numbers speak volumes and real Panther fans will never forget. Smitty is the GOAT in Panther land NOBODY played with more heart NOBODY and yes this is football we're talking about and not church

  2. The team got screwed. The NFL is shameless in their promotion of said player and circumstance. They so called wanted to punish Hardy with ten games instead of nine or eight or eleven just so they can shamelessly promote Hardy vs Panthers for Thanksgiving.

It was never about DV it was all about the shield and this proves it. If we had a FO and owner with guts we could have come out with the future of our D line looking very bright. Now it's in question. Not enough at DE one of the three most important positions on the field. Cheers to mediocrity!

  3. New ownership please. Thanks for helping the city get a team but the time has come and gone for JR to retire. This isn't 1995 or even 2005 yet this ownership seems to be stuck in a rut of the same in the box(in the safe) thinking.

This team will never get back to the promised land with JR, won't happen. Gettlemagic won't be enough to rise above the flawed decision making. I don't think the owner wants to win it all. He just seems to want to prolong this stupid cycle.

For once I'd like JR to say " F you NFL! We're going to kick your a*%". Not gonna happen

  4. We're going to need an edge rusher to replace GH. If anybody goes down that may just be our weakest spot on defense. Much like QB, WR and T there is a learning curve associated with a premium position in the NFL and it usually takes a couple years for a guy to become effective so rookies and 2nd year guys not named Julius Peppers scare me.

Seriously worried about the talent level at DE. The only times this franchise has ever made any noise it was with elite talent there at the DE. You can't let a veteran anchor DE go without replacing the gap.

We've been worried about LT so much that the need for a DE has been overlooked. We need a free agent

  5. Very good signing only because this is the only QB he's had success with his whole career. Him and Cam clicked. Glad to have him back. He makes all the receivers better when he's in the game.

If you block he can take it all the way on returns. He reminds me of Michael Bates, how he just made things better just because.

  6. With NFL trainers and a little more time with Cam he will be a total beast!

This coming year I'd like to see him break more tackles for more YACs. If he does that he'll have a very long and dominant career. Hog Mollie! If #89 can do it at 5'9", #13 & #88 could stand to do more of it, a lot more.

#1 even breaks tackles for big gains regularly so...

  7. No....the courts found Hardy settled with his accuser. That's not the same thing at all.

As for the answer to the OP question....I thought long about Maclin and Cobb, but ultimately.....my decision would be McCourty. Why? A play making Safety would take this Defense to a whole other level of ridiculousness. Having a Center Fielder like McCourty with a still very nasty front seven and our two emerging Corners would just be silly. Get Cam a LT in round one if the board is favorable, and a couple of WR in the Draft as well as a mid-late round RB.

That is not a charge. There is no victim by choice.

  8. The courts ruled. NO charges at all. Since this is a fantasy thread, my wet dream would be that Getts is running a smokescreen and guys like Igo and the Observer are being complicit as usual when it comes to basically their second employer. The coach, the players, they all want him back fighting next to them and so does a large number of fans. The courts found the case to be foolishness. It was foolishness.

Sad days in Panther land for some. ON TOP OF THAT! You hand him to the Falcons?!? If Greg Hardy loves them and the coach and the team put their names out their why do them and a lot of your fanbase such a disservice? This is worse than Pep in my eyes. Sad.

    GO HORNETS!!!

  9. Sort of.

Putting it into the correct context, Frank Alexander has twice been busted for using banned substances, served a 4-game followed by a 10-game suspension and he's still on the roster. Meanwhile, Greg Hardy.....

Yup. Since this is a fantasy thread, me and a large contingent of die hard Panther fans don't want to see Julius Peppers 2.0 happen in front of us. As I've said before, giving perhaps your second best player on defense to your rival for nothing is STUPID! JP walked for NOTHING! Sign him and trade him later at least. You should not prosecute someone on FUTURE events that may not happen because you preemptively shoot yourself in the foot. Greg Hardy loves his teammates and enough of them loved him enough to put their name on it. THEY WANT TO WIN! Many NFL players have been found guilty in the EYES OF THE LAW. This case was dismissed! Foolishness indeed. No charges!!! Coach put his name on it. I put my name on it! If Greg Hardy loves his team and they love him too, why hate Greg Hardy.

In my foolish fan mind, my wet dream would be that Getts was smoke screening till the Nfl ruling. I'd hope my team wouldn't be so STUPID and shortsighted just to cave in to the NFL's image campaign and just to make a point because a lot of fans think and media think that because JR is old and white that Hardy finally crossed some "line".

This was never about Hardy, it was about Ray Rice. The media had a part to play and of course they went with sensation and judgement. Well guess what? Not charges.

For a lot of you, I'm just speaking to the choir, but I digress :-( We make it much farther with the guy than without him. Sad days for some of us in Pantherland.

    GO HORNETS!

    ....you get my point.

  10. They've lost my confidence. The organization sucks. I'll continue to support the players but the organization can go piss off. CJ is getting close to the end of his career. Who the f are they looking for DE? YOU drafted Hardy and helped develope him into a elite DE!!!!! All respect due to CJ but the last time we had an elite DE was Julius Peppers, bottom line! THERE HAVE BEEN AND ARE playing in the NFL that are involved in real criminal acts. WHY THE F*%K would you release someone on suspicion and here say?

The TEAM LEADERS AND COACH AND CITY WANT YOU TO TURN OUR TAX DOLLARS OUR MONEY WE SPEND ON OUR TEAM IN OUR STADIUM(yes) AND ON MERCHANDISE INTO NFC CHAMPIONSHIPS OR BETTER. We were on our way. You told us ten years and you almost did it then you stopped trying! Bill Polian was right!

Pep didn't want to be here so I can't blame you for that one but this s*%#?!? The TEAM said they would foster him. The coach wants the guy on the field. Fans are begging and pleading with you to bring back #76!

These statements coming from Voth indicate you want to do otherwise. What that says to US and 31 other teams and YOUR TEAM is that YOU are ALWAYS chose the shield over them and their will to be great. Say what you will

  11. Why everything has to be punitive to some people is beyond me. It was two people who apparently worked out any diss agreement they had between them. Why? Because they were BOTH wrong. Criminally wrong? NO! Not every end of a relationship should end with charges like some of you would like it to. Just imagine if that doctrine was applied to your own life? It was a break up! The media twisted the story for the agenda they were on. They were wrong. Some of you want him punished for DV soooooooo bad you can taste it! Get a hobbie

You don't have to like a guy, his skin color, the clothes he wears, his choice in women, the car he drives, whatever, but as long as he not Aaron Hernandez or Ray Rice and he can play football at a high level I don't give a shat! A man should be allowed to work. This a freakin' FOOTBALL team we are talking about here.

If Cam got a tattoo and grew dreads and started freestyling, oh boy!

  12. My coworker just came in from lunch and told me she was at the bank talking with her teller, and the guy and the teller next to her were having a conversation where the teller said they were praying for this customer this morning, the customer said he was too, thank God it went well...my friend looked at him and said "Are you Greg Hardy?" He said "yes, maam" - shook her hand, signed an autograph and said he was meeting with Jerry this afternoon.

She told him if he were her son she would advise to stay away from crazy people like this woman, and he totally agreed haha

  13. We'll see in a few days. IF this is about making a statement, why not put it in writing tomorrow? Why wait for the end of the trial? Why drag it out. If your going to let him go then SAY IT! Have some balls(something I've been questioning for years). If you want to make a moral stand without listening to both sides do it and tell us all, ALL including the other 31 teams and ESPN that will be snickering when you do it. Fortune 500 companies have programs the make available. Big mistake in my eyes. You don't abandon people who obviously need your guidance but is also one of your best producers.

What he's accused of is a misdemeanor and some people want me to believe he committed a more serious crime and sometimes people don't always tell the truth. If I didn't do anything wrong I'd take it to court. Thank God for that at least but your rep is forever tarnished.
