Tremble and Jordan should be really high on the cut list. As well as CJ Henderson
No way CJ gets cut. The hate for him on here is unreal.

Thielen is such a sick red zone guy, I could see him catching half of Bryce’s TD passes
Hopefully the first of many for the duo!

That was a beautiful drive and touchdown pass to experience in person.
Thanks again @panthers55!

Bottom 5 spots?
Damn I'm struggling to identify the top 5 spots.
That was a great response!

Can’t believe we passed on Howell for Corrall. And that we traded up. At least it was Rhule who made the decision.
-
Can definitely tell the new fans caring about preseason points.
If you have confidence in your players in practice, there is no reason to put actual game plans into these glorified scrimmages where the only thing that actually matters is determining the bottom 5 spots on the roster.

I’ll be there tonight with the family.

We’ve made it!

My favorite part was the oline coach in the background when we drafted the NC State guard in the 4th.

I expect him to look great for the niners. He’s had two awful situations thus far and I saw enough glimpses in both to know he can be a good starting QB.

I want any of these over a first round QB. Keep making the team better with marquee players at prime spots and we will eventually luck into a great QB.

Why add the one game against the Saints once everything was decided. That wasn't a crucial game. The games that counted were his first five. Go back and recalculate your math. In 4 of those 5 his rating was over 100 and combined it was 105.
Offensive line was god awful that saints game too. Interior pressure as soon as the ball was snapped, especially once Corbett went down.

Absolutely not.
Stop wasting time on more failure retreads. We already have one.

He's still young and played much better at the end of the season outside of the New Orleans game. If I were the GM, I wouldn't trade our pick and if one of the QBs land in our lap I would take him. Most mocks I have seen has one of the top four QBs fall to us. I would select that QB and go into camp with Darnold, Corral and the rookie. All of them on an equal plateau. No one really slotted above the other. Let them battle it out.
Darnold, IMO, would have the upper hand because he has the experience. Reich and McCown would have their hands full with improving Darnold and developing Corral and the rookie. It would be a huge upgrade over the QB room we had last year.
I think Darnold could be had at a very decent price. Going after another Vet might just cost us more and take away from other positions that we might try to upgrade.
This approach makes way too much sense.

Judging by the other thread, there’s going to be a lot of folks upset when Darnold is the starter next year.
And it will be even worse when he looks like he’s progressed. Never will admit they are wrong and will continue looking for the next top 10 rookie QB bust.

While we’re on the subject, D.J Moore is underrated as well. He’s also 11th in receiving yards since joining the league and 6th among all non running backs in yard from scrimmage in that time.
He’s never missed a game and is also younger than anyone ahead of him on the receiving yards or yards from scrimmage (non running backs) list since he joined the league.
Burns (24), Moore (25), Icky(22)Horn (23),Brown (25). Are our top 5 core players that can be around and productive for us several seasons to come. Granted they are our last 5 first rounders. McCaffey rounded out are last 6 1st rounders.
They are perhaps the best 5 first rounders we have drafted consecutively since 02-06
(Peppers,Gross, Gamble, Thomas Davis and Deangelo Williams).
Well said. You get it!

I can't wait to trade Brian Burns so we can try and draft the next Brian Burns.

The last time we tried switching to an odd front after Tepper the defensive coach was fired mid-season, then we went back to a 4-3. Tepper can't keep changing his mind on scheme like this. This isn't college where you Pull guys in the portal and just wallah...fixed.
I get the hire but he's going to need a good two to three seasons to complete the transition. Unless he wants to go multiple, we now have to commit draft picks to the defense and Free Agency just to make a scheme change rather than to build out the core of the roster.
I won't be surprised if it doesn't work in Year 1 and by mid year 2 Tepper is losing his poo as he's been known for.
Buckle up guys, 2023 is going to be bumpy. Tank for Maye/Williams is incoming.
There’s the downer we were waiting for. Made it to 10 pages! That’s a record I bet.

So let me get this straight. They didn’t feel comfortable offering Wilks a position because they interviewed him for a head coaching position yet were interviewing Evero after interviewing him for HC position. I totally gets Wilks stance to move on but from a Panthers perspective that can’t look to good for his lawsuit
Wilkes was the head coach here in an interim capacity. That’s what made it weird.

How the heck does PFF know what coverage is called? Yes, he looked like crud during that Tampa game last year, but he got no help against Mike Evans.
