Tepper has never tampered. It has been one of the more positive things I can say about him. He’s not Jerry Jones.
there’s been rumors he influence the young pick, not that I’m advocating for him over Reich, but looks like wilks was overlooked for a legit shot at HC
-
Gonna be futile if tepper keeps tampering, we’ll all be at his mercy that he’ll stumbling into some good decisions

Not very much, some of the moves this team have made are so bad it has us fans paranoid on who actually pulled the trigger on these moves lol
I think a lot of it might have been rhule but let’s be real, fitts future is tied to how well young turns out regardless
-
I’m tired of the word “rebuild” around here
this regime from the very top has scammed fans into believing every boneheaded move they’ve made was because we were “rebuilding”.
If they wouldn’t have half assed the “first” rebuild we could be in a hell of a better position

I would like to give them a lower pick just because it means we had a good season. I dont understand why people would care what pick we give them, we can't use it anyway. If we have a bad season, I'd rather have a high second round pick
I rather be known as the winners of the Bryce young trade

I’m more concern about handing a top 5 pick to Chicago

Panthers took the wrong QB. most will finally admit it by years end.
For the sake of my fandom I pray not

Stroud with 384 pass yards sheesh

Looking like Chicago made out like thieves, we have been unlucky with injuries to start the season

I was never a Justin Fields fan. As soon as I saw OHIO STATE on his resume it was an easy pass. I have no regrets about us not drafting him.
That said, I feel bad for him. He needs a solid offensive head coach (or a really top end OC) to help him develop. As soon as Chicago went with a defensive HC I knew Fields was going to struggle out of the gate this season.
I’m not Into college much but I feel that way for nearly every top qb yearly, most these guys play on suped up college teams with nfl talent scattered along the offense and then when they are drafted are asked to elevate guys that probably couldn’t redshirt at their alma mater.
I think bears went mostly defense I. The recent draft too
either way I hope, which is wishful at this point, we surround Young with as much talent offensively as possible so he doesn’t follow the same path

I just see a completely different talent from hurts. Hurts can read the field and is decisive. Fields can't read the field for crap and looks to run more often than not. While Fields is incredible at running the ball, you need to be able to throw the ball as a QB and he has not shown the capacity to be able to do so in any consistency since being drafted. There have been no flashes of great QB play, just highlight reel runs.
I mean that was the knock on hurts, his passing wasn’t near where it needed to be at the time he was drafted or when he became the starter for the eagles, they added aj brown and Devontae smith and he became mvp caliber qb, a better overall supporting cast would help fields, his best WRs before they acquired Moore was who? Mooney ? Kmet? Not to even mention the shotty o line.
fields might not pan out but I think Chicago has done very little to put pieces around him to develop as a passer or even be competitive

It is, but he also has 2 additional years of the same film with zero progression over that time period.
He very well might get better this season but I personally don't think he will as I was never high on him as a passer to begin with and was never upset we didn't draft him.
I can’t say based off who he’s been throwing to leading up to this year, I think many recent teams have failed there prospects by giving them subpar weapons and expecting Tom Brady results.
I see similar talent in fields as hurts, teams just have to get the right pieces around some of these guys
-
25-28 per year is fair idk if the hold up is because he’s asking for more than that, but if it’s not idk what we’re doing, which is the norm for this iteration of the panthers

It’s just the 1st game of seasons fellas

Actually felt he didn’t check down enough and didn’t take what the defense was giving up most plays, his timer needs to be quicker.
Did like the poise, zip on the ball and arm strength but atl’s pass rush has always been abysmal since John Abraham left (Grady is no slouch).
Teddy to no fault of his own was hyped up by that con artist Rhule, and company, great guy really, but as for qb he is your modern day game manager.
in reality it’s just way too early to make anything of it, for the sake of my fandom I hope young turns out great, I’m not going to stick around another 3-4 years while this team goes through another carousal of QBs due to incompetence
-
Unfortunately when you’re not a football club that demands respect(and earns it) these things tend to happen and only panthers fans care since to the rest of the nfl we’re bottom feeders
if you’re not the cowboys, chiefs etc good luck getting good officiating
-
What op stated use to be the case and actually could have benefited some young qbs that weren’t ready to start(Josh Rosen comes to mind)
unfortunately nfl isn’t like nba where players have to play out there first contract before ext talks can even begin, since that’s the case, getting the most out of first round rookies, especially QBs, day 1 is imperative to team building
-
One thing young is going to have to work on is using the check down, a lot of plays he completely ignored the check down option.
he’s def gotta work on progressing through his reads faster, o line did a good job protecting but besides grady, falcons don’t have anyone that scares you on the edge
-
For a franchise that has historically struggle drafting WRs, to trade the only one that panned out in a decade color me shock that I’m not hopeful of finding a replacement in the draft nor is trading for one without getting robbed with Fitts running the show
-
Naw I’m more fair weather than anything nowadays, this last 5 years there’s been nothing to get excited about and when there is, said player was traded(cmc, dj Moore)
the reality is we feel what other fans do when they have to deal with billionaire owners who could care less about actually building a respectable football club(Snyder), like some have stated the handling of Cam and I’ll add cmc, dj Moore and burns for now, has doomed several versions of the team, and that abomination Matt rhule and now the current gm looks inept
-
Idk why we didn’t entertain d hop

No reason to calm down lol we’ve been trash for going on 7 years

Stuck with him, was hoping he’d turn it around but every move he’s made football wise since buying the team has been major burns
A loss to the Saints on MNF would be as bad a start as the Panthers can get.

Again I’m not upset about the frank hire but those are examples of rumors, rumors in the Scott fitter thread tepper had a hand in the qb selection
rumors of course, so may be hot air, but if not, going against the staff could be a great decision or turn out another blunder
