This stalemate, Burns’ average performance and the team playing so poorly has definitely put us in a pickle.

We’ll have to overpay to keep him but we lost value if we tag and trade (which may be hard to do in itself).

I could legit see him just go elsewhere.

Complete mismanagement of the entire ordeal, if the rams trade was not going to be accepted than a contract should have already been agreed on with burns before declining the trade

  2. I mean we shouldn’t overpay but I would think we’d had enough of trading talent away on an already talent deprived team, find a financial fiscal way to keep burns if possible if not no choice but to seek a trade or let him walk, which in itself is a mistake too

  3. Team is being ran ass backwards, from my couch, I could see after a couple games young was not ready and after the Seattle game question how he won the starting job ? As the season progressed it was evident he was being forced on the staff, but because of what we gave up, they refused to just sit young and get him to work on things like footwork, deep ball accuracy and touch etc, probably will lose the locker room due to it along with other lingering after effects

team is doomed for the near future, barring the greatest span of decision making by people who have demonstrated consistely that they aren’t capable of making said decisions

  4. cmc trade is not as bad, we’ve had some decent rbs since, but the problem is trading talent away before a replacement is in house, we basically cut/traded every major offensive position before having a replacement, and relied on the draft to replace those guys

we’ll look amongst us, it’s the result of said draft picks not being near adequate replacement for what we let go or traded

  5. No reason to be out tbh

if we can surround him with the right coaching and FO combo I don’t think even with his deficiencies, young can’t be good enough for us to compete

reality is however, the likelyhood we hire the right coach, and Gm to right the ship is slim to none base off this tepper guy, so that means another year of young looking like a bust

Young can work on his footwork, technique etc in the off-season if he’s serious about taking the next step as a qb, but we’d need the right coach who can see Young’s current issues, and either prepare a system to hide those flaws while taking advantage of his strengths or at least try and fix those issues in Young.

  6. Just like I said last off season when we didn’t fire rhule, going into next season with Fitts at gm will only prolong this suffering we have to endure to field a competitive team in a division that’s begging to be taken over

  7. I’ll just be a neutral nfl fan then, being a diehard was easier when even when we sucked we had smitty, peppers, cmc, cam, etc to root for, even during some bad seasons there was hopium

but this guy tepper has given the fans no hope that this franchise is on the right path, I mean zero hope, I’d never switch teams but it’s an embarrassment even mentioning being a panthers fan currently

  8. Cam situation was handled poorly and the repercussions to that decision still have an effect on this team currently

whether they wanted to move on from cam or not the plan for a replacement was handled poorly, still is being handled poorly years later

organizational failure, even through all the mediocre, the only blue chip talent we seem to still have from constant failure is Brian burns lol and he was drafted when hurney was here still, it’s laughable bad top to bottom

I think Tepper cares....too much. So much that he gets involved in all the off-season poo.

The problem is he doesn't have a clue what he's doing. Hes just throwing poo at the wall but he thinks it's strategic.

I don’t, clearly he’s in the same mindset of the clippers owner, throw money at something long enough and your investment will pay off soon, we all know that does not work in pro sports

fresh off the rhule debacle, guy doubles down on more mistakes by influencing who we pick at qb if the reports are true

not having the presence of mind to get out your own way time and time again shows you have no interest in actually building a winning football club
