  1. did anyone else see the oh-so-staged video he posted of him working out on the field with his daughter next to him and then them both getting up and walking off oh-so-casually and unplanned, a spontaneous moment captured arbitrarily and genuintely in the life of a True Good Guy

  2. We need speed. Crabtree is not our guy.

with a decent blocking offensive line you can commit to more 3WR packages because you don't have to put in packages that let you keep TEs in to block. theoretically we could put ginn out there for a higher percentage of snaps to be the deep threat and let your KBs and your Crabtrees and your Stevie Johnsons (if we got either of them or someone similar) work underneath and get separation by way of route running. it could work.

  3. I'm not a calorie counter either but I'm very conscious of my protein intake and sodium intake. Everyone's different but I cut weight pretty quickly once I limited my sodium intake the best I could.

Don't starve yourself with salads either, add a chicken breast to your salads and get some protein in your body, it'll help.

But yeah, no one enjoys cardio but it's kind of a must when trying to lose weight. I HATE running and my knees and ankle barely allow me to run but it's a must for me.

i need to start paying attention to sodium. i do a ton of protein, 20-30g right after a workout, and every salad i do has chicken on top. i'm trying to add as much greens as possible to my diet as well as lean meat.

part of my problem is i work almost every day, so the majority of my meals come from the bar kitchen, and finding healthy options is a huge challenge.

  4. Do you eat healthy? A good diet and half hour or so on the gain robber every day and I'd have to think you'll notice a difference quickly

And like pstall said, green tea is good too, I'm not a fan but my gf drinks a ton of it

i've adjusted my diet dramatically in the past couple months. more or less cut out red meat, eating several salads a week,  tons of water, cutting back sodas as much as possible, consciously looking for lean stuff. i'm not calorie counting though.

i think i need to do more cardio, or HIIT stuff like chimera mentioned. i'm lazy and i absolutely hate cardio.

  5. Definitely HIIT with a proper diet for stomach fat. Bodybuilding.com has diet guidelines. I can't vouch for it, but the info seems good at a quick glance. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw40.htm

I like to incorporate a little more into HIIT routines than what is on that page, but it looks like a good place to start (I seem to recall you saying you've been more active recently, but idk). One thing I absolutely love incorporating is a day of solely tabata. It will leave you feeling exhausted and wonderful at that same time. http://www.active.com/fitness/articles/what-is-tabata-trainingI do 8 sets of 5 exercises.

i did a ton of fartlek training leading up to going to OCS a decade back and i recall it being enormously useful.

  6. i'm not going to post numbers because it's embarrassing how scrawny i was but i've been lifting weights for right on two months now and my max bench press is up 20%.

i can't seem to make progress on this damn belly fat though

  7. Funny how every time a FA WR name is brought up, it seems like 75% of the Huddle is all, "Do not want."  "Too slow."  "Not what we need."  etc.

If we bring in a guy like Shorts, it's not going to be on a contract with much guaranteed money.  A guy like him would be brought in to COMPETE.  It's like you guys forget that as it stands right now, Jerricho Cotchery is our #2 WR.  Jerricho fuging Cotchery.  There are numerous FA WRs out there who would likely be available for quite reasonable contracts who would be an instant upgrade over Cotchery.

this. we are all about upgrading every position possible. we may not get a chance to upgrade WR in the draft, so if cecil shorts could be better than cotchery (i expect he would be) then you've upgraded that position. smart move as long as we're not overpaying for him (and we won't.)

  8. So, I still haven't worked up the nerve to ask her about this. Confrontations bother me, as I always get way too emotional and lose my head. She keeps posting pics of her and friends from work on girls night outings, outings she always cancelled with me. Pfft.

not to insinuate anything, but is it possible you've done something to piss her off and don't realize it? posting girls night pictures could be a passive-aggressive move designed to make you jealous or hurt you. that would be immature behavior, of course, but it could also be a manifestation of some kind of pain or hurt. some people have mastered the art of the incredibly-innocent-yet-deeply-assertive facebook post and maybe that's her shot at you.

or maybe she's just jelly :)

either way my humble opinion is you should definitely work up the nerve and bring it up to her in as non-confrontational a way as possible, let yourself be vulnerable to being hurt by it, let her know you're vulnerable to being hurt by it, and then put the ball in her court to either explain it and begin healing the friendship, or shut you down and let you begin healing yourself.
