  1. out-of-state is almost always a horrible decision unless you get an offer you can't pass up, either through scholarship or because you got into a prestigious academy and have the goals to match up with an ivy league diploma. you can do just as well with a nursing program at UNCG and you'll pay literally a 10th of the price.

i have never taken out loans… i've gone to inexpensive public universities (the community college system, transferred to UNCG, and now i'm at UNCC) and i've worked constantly during it. i worked as a line cook during most of my first degree for about 30 hours a week, and for the three years in school i've pulled between 40-80 a week bartending. i have zero debt.

i really recommend you rethink your plans unless finances are simply not a concern… and that doesn't appear to be the case.

  2. Nah that was long after my time.  I left there somewhere around '93/'94.  Just after the tallest tower and the Guilford opened.  Back then the front desk was in the north lobby and they would be lined up past Joseph's to the Imperial to get into the 5th Season on a Wednesday night..

I need to stop by and buy you a drink at some point. I work just across 40.

If you dont get to see much of the game I at least hope the tips are good.

ah, i thought it'd opened up at the same time as the tallest tower. swing by anytime, drink's on me

  3. Will the Market America drones even notice?

(assuming you're still bartending for Koury corp)

hahaha, it's hard to say. some of them are unbelievably pretentious and demanding and the rest are too busy trying to impress each other to care what's going on.

you were around when the pool bar was a cigar lounge, right? we got a small-ass flatscreen over the door to the patio that i have to watch across the lounge because the 60" is mounted outside the bar at an angle i can't see, which means either squinting at the small one or sneaking out to watch individual plays on the big one.
