What football people? Every Tom, Dick and Harry say Young is the best QB in this draft. And on a side note show me on the doll where Tepper and his wife touched you

Yea, I know, another thread, but I don't think this is something I've seen discussed much on here and it's been rattling around in my head while I wait for the finale of The Mandalorian to drop here in a few minutes.
I'm afraid Bryce will be the Marvin Lewis of QB's due to his size and it will put us in NFL purgatory for the next decade, which is SOOO much worse than just missing on a QB draft pick and needing to start over in 3-4 years with a new one.
If he flops for being the top pick, it won't be because he's terrible, it will be because he can't stay healthy for full seasons, and likely is hurt later in the season as the wear and tear builds and would miss playoff games, such as Lamar the last few years.
He'll be too good of a QB to just let walk in Free Agency, but his injury problems won't make him an attractive trade candidate either, and we'll be stuck with a QB who only is able to play 10-12 games a year. He'll be good enough in those games that we are Wild Card contenders each year, making it some, missing it in others, but maybe never being legit title contenders if he can't be fully healthy come January and leaving us pick in the early 20's each draft as well.
That's basically what Marvin Lewis was to the Bengals as a coach, he was too good for them to fire, but not good enough when it mattered and they couldn't make playoff runs with him. It was a terrible situation for them to be in for a long time, and I'm convinced that will happen with Bryce and whatever team drafts him. Which is why I prefer Stroud, equally high upside, with I think a higher floor, but if he flops we'll know and be able to move on from him faster/easier than with the way Young will "flop" in my mind.
I can't lie that I'm intrigued by Young's mental side of things, the thing that stood out to me the most was that they would give him 2 plays to call in the huddle and he'd make the play call at the line, that's an NFL thing, not in college, in college the players all look back to the sideline for the final call. But Stroud is too good of a prospect for me to take the risk on the above scenario, which I think is the most likely outcome for Bryce's career.
That’s why we have Matt Corral, and why Tepper and his trophy wife are the problem. Football people want Stroud, admin wants Midget. Draft midget, get hurt, enter Corral. Simple.

I would like them to ask interesting questions about football instead of constantly trying to be the one to break a story or pry something out they already know won't happen for a headline. Occasionally you will see a question asked that the person being asked lights up about. There's potential to create good content if they try. One could easily corner the market on good journalism if they put less effort in to twitter.
They certainly do ask bogus questions that always seem to be layup answers never really learning everything new.

They didn't have to go at length advocating / defending him like he's already their quarterback. I'm more convinced than ever now that he's the pick.
They need practice for when they have to answer questions why this team is dogshit

Listen to the entire interview. Almost the whole of it was about Bryce and all positives about Bryce.
Because the media asked questions about him and only him. Minus the 1 question Mike Kaye asked about Corral.

Decision has not BEEN MADE I really wish yall would relax either way we win but yall trying to push this Bryce agenda need to chill..
Unless of course Scott fitterer is a member of this board
He will be in a few years when his turkey neck fat fuging ass gets fired for drafting a dude who is 5 inches away from being classified as a little person with the first overall pick continuing a trend of this franchise being a Super Bowl free joke.

Before the trade I’d have been totally on board with drafting BPA at 9 and go with Corral for the season. Either he looks great and could be our QB of the future, or he’d have been terrible and helped us land a top pick in a better QB draft without needing to trade up.
But the trade was made, Dalton was signed to be the backup and mentor. If we get any decent offer for Corral it’s time to trade him now, will be hard for his value to go up unless he knows up in little pre-season action.
He’s a quality QB on a rookie contract. You don’t trade him until you evaluate him. You may be sitting on a gold mine, if not cut him after camp

This is the 2nd time I've seen you say this tonight. I would think that in a year where a JV sized QB may just go #1, having more than one QB succeed doesn't seem like much of a stretch to me.
Edit to add; But if it is only 1 QB, I concur, let it be ours.
I think we are also underestimating Corral with this crew
-
My concern is the size, lack of high caliber arm, and the lack of room to bulk the frame. I think it’s a bad call to draft him first overall.

I know this is going to turn into a shitshow before I even ask, but I was wondering:
There has been a ton of talk that Houston might not take a QB at 2 if the guy they like isn't there. IF and I mean IF We take Young at #1 and Houston either trades down or passes on Stroud, what will the feeling be for those in the "Stroud over Young" Camp?
Vice versa, If we take Stroud and then Houston either trades out of 2 or doesn't take Young, how will the "Young over Stroud" camp feel?
Personally, whoever we take in that scenario will give me reassurance that we chose the right guy. Will those in your respective camps double down and call both QB Needy franchises dumb?
I think we made the bed when we moved up. Gotta pick one of the 3.

Okay. But if we think Young is the best player in this draft then we are taking him. If we don’t then we are taking Stroud (or I guess possibly AR). Regardless, we wouldn’t trade away who we feel has the best shot at being a franchise QB for an extra 1st round pick. And if they know we are trading because we believe that they’ll take BY then they know we aren’t taking BY anyway. It just literally doesn’t make any sense lol
I would do it for just 33

I was just posting on another thread how he could develop into a nice backup for Young. Similar quickness with a quick release and accurate. You wouldn’t have to change up the playbook too much.
Or he could be the fuging starter.

No clue.
But these results are private and owned by the prospects. I’m sure teams ask for these when they are meeting with them as part of their process. And probably how the “good” or “bad” leaks get out. Not physical scores.
Bryce, Richardson and Levis have all released their scores.
Stroud could squash all these “rumors and reports” that it’s bad by just doing what the other guys did and release his score.
Unless it really is that bad.
Never heard of the test before this year. Don’t like that it’s not being released but that people know it’s abysmal. Doesn’t make sense.
Young makes sense
