What happened to Corbett?

Ryans qualifies and I want more picks. Bring in minority HC and coordinators get picks

Hahahahaha. This is gonna piss some people off, but hilarious.

TE, DEs, and everyone in the secondary minus Horn, but he’s injury prone, which is a bummer.
-
I’m only sad cause I bet 300 on panthers on moneyline and lost. After I bet 250 on Georgia to cover the -5 the night before. Brutal.

Rock with Darnold/MC/3rd or later rookie QB in 2023 and if none emerge as a legitimate top 15 starter, push in all your chips for the 2024 QB class.
I’m in.

We need better pass catching tight ends and a shifty slot player.

Coach Wilks bluntly tells the truth. This is from his press conference today
we have all said the same thing
he also said they need to be more creative in freeing DJ from double teams
plus, ‘if you are supposed to be a superstar on this team, time to be one’
Honestly, I would hate to be him and be served the poo in a sandwich that is the QB position and OC
he also said when asked, ‘there is nothing I have said here that the players have not been told’
I watched it live. It’s up on panthers.com mobile but I couldn’t share it
He also doesn’t try very hard

What did he say?

At first I thought, wow what a breath of fresh air in comparison to Hurney / Gettleman
Horn pick, very high for a corner and the majority of folks on here wanted Parsons. Micah is on his way to being DPOY in year 2
Trading for Gilmore/Henderson- this team was not ready to compete. Gilmore came as a 1 year rental for no reason and Henderson is a JAG. That’s costly draft capital
signing Jackson/Thomas- these guys are nowhere close to the contracts they received
Not trading Moore- a solid #2 who isn’t a stud #1 WR to a team that is sitting at 3-5. We basically would have had a top 12 pick for Moore
Not trading Burns- a guy who is Osi Umenyoria who will be paid as the highest paid DE here soon and has never posted double digit sacks. Getting 2 firsts and a second from a team that’s falling off the Cliff talent wise and under .500, this would have been two top 12 picks and a high second for the Panthers
I give him a pass on Mayfield- we didn’t spend a lot on that experiment
i give him an A on Eke
overall my opinion of Fitterer is unfortunately fading as the next coming of Ozzie Newsome and more so of a Thomas Dimitrioff
The guy can barely publicly speak without shitting his pants. He also has Tepper’s nut sack hanging off the bottom of his face

There's been a lot of digital ink spilled over the non-trades of Brian Burns and DJ Moore. The alleged total compensation was 3 1st-round picks and 1 2nd-round pick for the pair. I was curious what probability said regarding the decision.
Assumptions:
- We can spend all the picks at the same time and neglect the year of the draft pick (some were way off in the future making them less valuable)
- Burns and DJ are considered Pro Bowl caliber players; Note that I didn't say All Pro, which is a higher bar
- A 1st round pick becomes a Pro Bowler 44% of the time; Keep in mind WRs and DL have been shown to hit at a much lower rate
- A 2nd round pick becomes a Pro Bower 18% of the time
Background:
I am going to model this using a probability tree where we are essentially rolling a dice for each pick. We have 3 dice weighted for a 1st-round pick (44% success) and 1 dice weighted for a 2nd-round pick (18% success). Once we have 2 success we stop rolling and collect the profit (the extra picks).
Results:
Takeaway:
Within this context the Panthers made the right decision. They have a 41% chance of profiting off the trade (big or small gain) compared to a 52% chance of losing on the trade (big or small loss).
We should have traded them. We could be a 2-7 team with a a future, or with them, 2-7 and still straight fuging garbage. The Carolina Panthers are a desirable destination no matter what, because only 32 mother fugers get to coach. Should have traded these pricks for picks. Period.

No, IDGAF if you don't think Corral is our future. He's getting better, and he will be in the mix regardless of rather you like it or not. For those taking a definitive stance on Corral based largely on Rhule's ineptitude, you will eat crow. You will eat crow.
https://www.cbssports.com/fantasy/football/news/panthers-matt-corral-recovery-making-progress/
Corral (foot) is no longer in a walking boot as he continues to recover from his September surgery, ESPN's David Newton reports.
Corral will still miss the 2022 season, but his current progress from the Lisfranc injury he suffered during the preseason could set him up for a relatively healthy offseason. As someone the Panthers traded up to select in the third round of this year's draft, Corral represents a significant long-term piece for the franchise, which presently carries quarterbacks Baker Mayfield (ankle), Sam Darnold (ankle) and PJ Walker all on expiring contracts. Although a first-round quarterback selection is certainly a possibility next spring as the team sits with a [now 2-6] record at the moment, Corral at least offers an investment to carry over at the position.
Love this kid. Can’t wait!!

Can we just admit that Fitt got it absolutely right with Horn and Ickey?
Not sure about horns ability to stay healthy, but goddamn he’s good when he does.

RIDICULOUS MAN!!! This guy should have been starting day freaking one!!! Now all of a sudden when he gets plugged in (only because Elf got placed on IR, so I give Wilks ZERO credit here for having Bozeman in), we are running all over folks. Ridiculous!!! Had he come in last week, perhaps McCaffrey would still be a Panther.
That ankle injury was brutal.

He was flying on special teams yesterday. His time will come.

Happy to see the guy get a quality start. Just shows how ridiculous Rhule was, he should have been starting the whole time. He was picked up for one year, but we need stability at that position. I saw good protection calls, and no botched snaps. Hope we can build on this game and maybe solidify that position. Sometimes it is addition by subtraction.
Elflein played well, relax
