We are about to run the ball so fuging far down teams mouths. If Bryce cant perform when the boxes get stacked against this run game thats about the only way I see our team being complete poo again.

Yep they are so salty, just like that unnamed "NFC Exec" talking poo about the pick aka Jerry Jones.

Note: I'm willing to concede NT probably is a bigger depth need than starter need, but I just never felt like Shy was a natural fit for NT and he is currently the closest thing we have still. I was hoping we brought in Robinson for that role but he repeatedly stated in his press conference that he has never been an NT and doesnt plan to ever be an NT.

Below you will find 53 players and I've aligned them with the position I think they will be playing based on all the press conferences I've tuned into. I think this will change drastically before our first game but I went ahead and highlighted the positions I think we are most likely to see a change. We still have #1 in the Waiver Wire to potentially address 1 or 2 of these needs, and we also have FA to address at least one more. What do you guys think? Who do you think gets the boot if we are able to find 2 or 3 more solutions for our current holes?

I still want to sign Gilmore
Would shore up the CB room, only glaring hole on O is Center depth. On defense the only glaring holes are NT and OLB depth.
i feel like we can nab one or two solutions to the these holes with the #1 Waiver Wire choice.

Love the person and personality. He’s a dawg for sure. Time will tell if he’s a game changer. Definitely has a high ceiling.
I also love the trade. Get the 5th year option for swapping one of our 5ths for their 6th.
And I’m shocked at how perfect the board looks for us going into the 2nd round. There are 6 picks before we draft again at 39 and a bunch of options for us:
WR - Mitchell, McConkey, Coleman and Franklin
C - Powers-Johnson and Frazier
CB - McKinstry, DeJean, Rakestraw, Tampa and Sainristil
LB - Cooper and Wilson
We will have our pick from at least 6 of the above players. To me the C’s and LBer’s seem to be the most “dawgish” of the group and I like the options for CB and WR later in the draft compared to the options for C and LBer.
Just add Newton and your board is perfect

Nate Wiggins > Cooper Dejean > Koolaid at 33 then get your WR/C at 39... lets fuging go

Draft is falling wonderful for us, we just need to stick the landing

He would be a great pick up and probably higher on morgans board than anyone's guess. Robinson - Sweat - Brown on the interior D-line and Lewis - Frazier/JPJ - Hunt on the interior O makes for a fearsome foundational force on both sides of the line.

This! I feel like unless we get a kings ransom that it would be absolutely stupid to trade back. We could acquire two very solid picks at 33 and 39 especially since Fitt. will not be involved in making in making the choices. We need to use BOTH picks and keep them to draft the very best players possible with each pick.
This is why I want JPJ if he falls, guaranteed 10 year lock at Center boom. Like there are a lot of gambles but a 1st round Center falling to 2nd ain't one of 'em. Same with pick 39, will probably still be someone with 1st round grade falling to 39.

For those that don't like it here's Mike 2023 mock draft
FIRST ROUND, NO. 1 (VIA CHI): BRYCE YOUNG, QB, ALABAMA
SECOND ROUND, NO. 39: FELIX ANUDIKE-UZOMAH, EDGE, KANSAS STATE
THIRD ROUND, NO. 93 (VIA SF): A.T. PERRY, WR, WAKE FOREST
FOURTH ROUND, NO. 114: GARRETT WILLIAMS, CB, SYRACUSE
FOURTH ROUND, NO. 132 (VIA SF): CAMERON LATU, TE, ALABAMA
FIFTH ROUND, NO. 145: DORIAN WILLIAMS, LB, TULANE
Damn all those players are garbage except A.T. Perry and he only had 12 catches but way more TDs than any of our WR's outside of AT

We could def flip Corbett for a 5th round pick at the least with JPJ or Graham Barton as well.

Why would anyone give you money to place a bet with them?
Had you been betting before but stopped for a while? If so, that's a great way to get you back into their cash flow plans.
Had you signed up for the service but never used it? Then it's a powerful way to motivate you to start betting.
Just tiny little hooks to keep you dancing on the line for them.
Sports booking/betting outfits really don't care if you win or lose, they are balancing bets against each other to keep the books straight. They make their money off of the vigorish or placement fees. They are interested in volume, keeping the number of people active and involved. Free money for bets, comped rooms, "VIP" bettor status, whatever it takes to keep the action rolling.
Gambling has always had a parasitic relationship with society. And man, it's on steroids now.
LOL credit card companies and even banks do this now. If you are disciplined its called Churning and its zero risk as long as you're not a moron.
Unfortunately, 49.5% of the population is below average intelligence which is already the intelligence of a soap dish.... soooo gambling companies make a lot of cash off of them. -

Good. Every economic study that I'm aware of that has looked into the issue has concluded that use of public funds for sports stadiums is a terrible investment.
Ehh, they never do a study on the town after they leave, pretty poor studies that dont include a lot of datapoints and are limited in scope to be honest and they often leave out a lot, the size of the city is def going to impact economic calculations, as well as the absence of the team, and lack of tax income from their employees . However we can see from St Louis that they are losing $115M a year since the Rams left based on their lawsuit settlement a couple years ago with the NFL. https://www.cnbc.com/2021/11/24/nfl-and-rams-reach-more-than-700-million-settlement-in-st-louis-relocation-case-report-says.html
$1 billion in public funds over 20/30 years for $115M per year in return isn't a bad deal. St Louis was already falling off a cliff population growth wise when the Rams left but by God if their decline hasn't sped up instead of slowed down since they left.
Sure, if you are a major metropolitan area, tell the NFL to shove it up their ass, but if you're a small or medium sized city, tread with caution.

If you get a 10 year starter, i dont give a fug if Corbett hits or not. Thats our problem we always draft for need. A rookie to replace Moton's cap hit would also be nice as well for 2025.

For someone that isn't on here every day can someone elaborate on the bot b/c I'm curious?
It was a bot that just posts new links as they appear on panthers.com. A lot of times they get linked anyways so it just aggregates those discussions. The problem is that panthers.com has to push fluff pieces even if the team is 0-15 on the season... and so it was banned. Now its a new season and it got unbanned. We are here. Yes it still posts fluff pieces but it also will sometimes post useful info that was going to be posted here anyways.

It was on twitter so I don’t know if it’s true, but did anyone else read that we haven’t decided on Horns 5th year option yet?
This is correct, the one thing going for Horn is that the 5th year corner option is pretty cheap relatively.

https://www.panthers.com/news/dan-morgan-these-moves-are-all-with-the-future-in-mind
Sounds like any "dogs" available at any point to us this season we are taking a shot on as it relates to the type of player and the panthers access to them as the #1 waiver wire spot until Week 4 of the regular season. No more wasting draft picks for unknown or aging commodities. Back to building through the draft as the primary focus
Quote"I mean, we're in a non-panic mode," Morgan said. "I think everything that we do right now, the decisions that are made now are going to be made for the future as well.
"We've got to be very disciplined, and we've got to have a plan. We have a plan, and we've got to stay disciplined to that plan."
In recent years, the Panthers have been willing to trade picks for players, at the quarterback position and others. But Morgan said as he moves forward building this roster, he wants to put a premium on draft picks, so they can build something sustainable around quarterback Bryce Young and the pieces acquired this week.
"We definitely talk about that long-term vision," Morgan said. "And again, that doesn't mean that we're not going to make moves and be competitive. But at the same time, we can't continue to keep giving draft capital away for players.
"We've got to build this thing through the draft, and that's the goal here."
Quote"We're going to do a good job on the personnel side, whether through the draft or there are guys who get released late in the process," he said. So there's going to be opportunities for us to get playmakers."
But as he surveyed two weeks of work, there are particular players that stand out.
Hunt and Lewis — 650 pounds of guard, with $150 million worth of total contracts — are key pieces to protect Young, who was sacked 62 times last year. And by dealing for Johnson, there's a receiver with a demonstrated ability to get open, who also has the kind of personality Morgan is looking for as he builds.
"I think it's definitely a statement," Morgan said of those early additions on offense. "And even out at wideout, like Diontae, like he has edge, he has toughness, and him along with those two guards, and these are tough, competitive guys.
"So that's what we're building towards."
Edit: Technically, we have a former huddler as our GM now when you think about it.- 17
