Not firing Moron and letting him luck into a COTY award really fuged us.

We could have been in the mix for the super bowl on a yearly basis with good coaching instead of whatever the hell Ron and Shula were doing.

Gettleman also had a lot to do with that with his love for certain types of players. The coaching staff wanted Devante Adams and Stephon Diggs. He drafted bums. He also wouldn't pay a few more million for Ted Ginn and Josh Norman. There are so many what ifs from that time that turned a potential 7-8 year championship window into 2-3 years.

Not amazing at all.  We had a very good defense and the best group of receivers to ever suit up for the Panthers as a unit.    Moose was in his prime, Steve Smith was really coming into his own and Proehl was Mr. Clutch.

The great Proehl who begged Nippleshorts to draft Devante Adams and Stephon Diggs. Instead he told the great to know his role and drafted two of the biggest bums to ever put on a Panther uniform. Jesuz, we are so backwards as an organization.

Not that last year wasn’t a dumpster fire across the board, but with the players nerfing practice reps at every cba they can no longer be fat slobs in the off-season and expect to come get in shape, perfect their craft, and iron everything out in training camp. If Ickey isn’t working on his fundamentals in the off-season, he won’t ever live up to expectations at LT.

Ain't that the truth! The biggest drop off in play across the board is due to lack of reps for OL throughout training camp. Their technique and conditioning are way off. I feel like guys hardly have any chance anymore to work on their game with practice reps anymore.

Jadeveon Clowney is a solid DE who has earned his role as a starter on multiple teams.

He didn't end up being #1 overall pick good, but he is an A+ Run defender and decent pass rusher.

Years when he actually stays healthy (Which is not often) he puts up solid numbers.

He's also light-years better than anyone else on our roster who plays the position.

You better get out of here with that logic! Everybody should know that Chase Young is still coming back to !00% from his knee surgery. Washington had a fire sell to save money, and we seen the BS in capital letters of what happened in San Fran. Also, nobody is talking about how Bosa took basically half the season to get into shape only playing hard on passing downs! The great white hypes though never get questioned about effort or that stupid dawg shite!

Folks, I do not know a lot, but I was an OL coach and i look for technique improvement when I watch videos or film.  Ickey was not coached.  Campen was absolutely horrible.  Ickey has the tools, he just needs to work on his feet, hands, and balance.  The light will come on, I am 90% sure.

Plus, they were implementing the scheme a week before the season started. Then it changed again and again throughout the year. Thanks for adding another layer of context to these asinine posts!

  6. Well Morgan played with good d-lineman, and they had attributes that the tweeners we jettisoned didn't have. He played with Jenkins, a moving deep freezer who also could push the pocket, Peppers, a mutant, Buckner, a poor man's Warren Sapp, and Rucker who never quit with Al Wallace off the pine. We have gotten used to these bums that Rhule and to an extent Ron on his way out saddled us with and this overhaul has been long overdue. I feel like we will be much prouder of this team and its effort in the next few years. Sometimes you have to go scorched earth, just as long as you don't salt it.

I edited to say 'single play' instead of 'post' but hey, read what you want into it just like you're reading into Frankie missing a single tackle.

Following your logic, how many great defenders would be cut because they got juked? How the Bears kept Urlacher after this play, I'll never know. Big mistake on their part.

We all know Urlacher was overrated! I used to get so excited when we played them in the playoffs because on paper I knew Urlacher was their great defender and we always came away with a win. There are a bunch of plays where he looked terrible including Bettis running over him at the goal line. He was rated the number one overrated player by his fellow NFLers year in and year out. I am glad that he is a HOF though, because that means for sure Keek is going to get in too.

Here's Luke getting juked by a 10 yr old. Bijan is in the NFL too. Your cherry-picked single play is invalid.

Yeah, noticed you had to edit your post.🤣 Luke getting juked by ten year old! Don't be silly. I am not going to take time to make a video of Luvu's struggle plays, but that was a clear example. Thanks for being predictable and using the words cherry picked.

No poo Luvu isn't on the level of guys like Luke, TD, Beason, Morgan, etc. No one has ever claimed such. All those guys were 1st round picks though. That's the type of investment you usually have to make to get guys of that caliber and I hope the days of us spending 1st round picks on off the ball LBs are over.

I want to get back to the point where we are drafting best player available and in those cases, that's what we did as an organization. Also, Will Witherspoon, James Anderson, those guys were not first rounders, and like them if Luvu wants top tier OLB cripple the salary cap money, peace and blessing to him.

The crazy part is that our two best players were basically no shows.

RJ wasn't a no show, they literally had the game plan to take him out of the equation. There were several plays that he had three or more players jumping at him. Instead of forcing it like we hated Caleb for doing the last two years, he trusted his teammates. He still scored some timely buckets. Mando still had 9 and 8 which again I am glad UNC didn't stall the offense forcing him the ball. Unlike last year, they kept it moving around the perimeter to get good shots. It was a great team win and as a fan I have ultimate confidence that it is a team instead of a bunch of individuals like it has been.

LMAO welcome to the backup life. I will always remember his draft day walk. I thought that kid was going to be the next Brady the way he was walking up to the stage.

The funny thing is that Kraft and former Patriot players pushed for Belicheat to draft, then play McCorkle(Yes that's his full real name) Jones over going into the season with one Cam Newton. BB pushed against it then and said he did not want to go the rookie route, which ultimately led to his demise in New England as well as the water being poured on the embers of Cam's career.

Yeah, Lock is a B tier backup guy. Nothing special about that move. Overall a step down from Dalton, IMO. Not that it is likely to matter. It is Bryce or Bust for the Tepper Panthers.

It will be interesting to see how long it takes to pivot if Bryce flops in year two.

I am guessing he might get the hook before the fans think. I am thinking part of the way through Year 3 if it really goes to poo.

At least we will own the 1st round draft pick for the following year to take advantage of another dismal season.

  13. In the effort of keeping the Bozeman energy going, losing Luvu is not that big of a deal. I don't know how we got to the point of being such choosy fans on a case by case basis. But the linebackers that we have had in the past including our current GM, Luvu is not on that level. Cool hair, cool tattoos, good attitude, but if he wants a bunch of money we are okay with moving on from him. We have had and seen better.

Why’s that? He got fired here and went to the Super Bowl the next year. You could say people wanting to get rid of him didn’t age well.

This isn’t the flex you think it is.

Boom! Some guys just get the shaft and Wilks has over the last couple of seasons. The people that see it any other way are a bunch of fun dummies who base their argument off the fact he was beat by the winningest QB in NFL history with a secondary that needed a body so bad they signed a barista the week before they played. Never mind the competitive revival that happened to even make that game relevant.

What about him going prevent and then Shanahan calling a time out to stop that crap?

Shanahan called timeout because they were in press cover 0 with a blitz dialed up. He in fact wanted to do something else. Romo called it out on the broadcast.

CMC, DJ, Horn.  One of these things is not like the others.

after 3 years in, CMC was arguably the best RB in the NFL.

after 3 years in, DJ was putting up back to back seasonal production few WRs in the NFL were matching.

I mean, everyone knew they were going go be good elsewhere because that's what they were here.

the last first several first rounders that disappointed during his rookie contract and  left.... didn't go blowup elsewhere.   Butler and KB.  Heck even ones that didn't disappoint didn't go and do better.  Star.  Same for the recent 2nd rounders we didn't extend and let see the door from E. Brown to Clausen to Curtis.

Last decade, guys who didn't pan out here didn't go pan out elsewhere.  Yet somehow people are worried about that?

I'm specifically talking about the two players I mentioned and not starting a trend for the future. With those two players, the rebuild here wouldn't be so stark and we aren't better off than we were before. It is ridiculous to trade away good players you draft and send them to these historically good organizations for next to nothing. It happens all the times in pro sports and different pro leagues. When Horn plays, he is a shut down corner and strong tackler from the CB position. We have plenty of cap room. Nobody is talking about the old bums that you brought up.

  17. Pick it up. I am tired of being a farm organization for historic franchises. CMC hasn't missed two games in a row since he left here. DJ Moore had a productive season with Fields at QB. Stop giving away the players we draft!

I think Belichick molded Brady but later in Brady's career I think he carried Bill more than Bill carried him.

that's probably a good take.  Bill was instrumental in helping Brady become Brady.....but Bill largely just reaped the rewards of what Brady became.

I'd give that credit to Charlie Weis and Josh McDaniels way more than I would Bill Belichick.

All of you have valid points, but Belicheat is getting the short end of the stick regarding that team's success. They won with Brady out there on his early Big Ben stuff, throwing for 150-200yds per game and 1-2 TDs. The defense entirely comprised of Belicheat's picks and signees, did the heavy lifting almost entirely until they got Moss, Gronk, and some real difference makers. People need to quit acting like he is chopped liver now. He guessed wrong with MacCorkle Jones and surprise, the division got better. He did some shrewd early GM stuff that took balls and kept his team financially competitive. He just missed on that kid. They would've made the playoffs with Cam if 10+ players hadn't opted out of the Covid season. Lastly, I feel like he stopped cheating. I mean I think he's done and they are going to have to start over at QB again, but this whole Brady made Belichick stuff is nonsense.

    So he's learned nothing.

    Man, we are f**ked.

When I seen that drink leave his hands, I knew for sure he'd learned nothing. He seems to not like big personalities with players or coaches. You get snippets from people that show you who they really are and I have been wondering about him since the interaction between him and Cam on the Amazon doc. Cam was just joking with him one day at practice and you could tell he was taking the good natured fun all the wrong way. People saying he wants yes men are an understatement. He wants malcontents he can manipulate and cuckolds.
