I remember this being discussed by several here in the pre-draft run up. Evero had no use for Chinn, so how did Walker truly make any sense?
No issue with passing on Walker/how our draft went, but what does Everos use of Chinn have to do with projecting how he might have used Walker? Beyond being called a “tweeter” by some, totally different players and roles on the field.

He plays more like AJ Green than either of those two.
But to be fair, I did see a number of analysts say that there really aren't a lot of great comparisons for him, that he's a little bit unique. He's more athletic than Evans or London, but doesn't use his physicality of either of them, but he uses it more than guys like Sutton does.
AJ Green is who I think of as well; the body control, fluidity of movement, hands catcher, always high pointing the ball with the occasional insane/acrobatic type of grab, etc

The crapshoot is only worse when your GM ignores red flags and gets tunnel vision on his guy instead of making a pick that would actually help the team.
Tearing an ACL is not looked at nearly like it used to. There was no real expectation or indications that his knee would be an issue and he was the top RB in the class.
Not saying it was the right move, I would’ve loved the center Pitt took, but it’s one of those “understandable at the time, but looks awful with hindsight” kind of moves IMO

We drafted Edmund Kugbila years ago just before David Bakhtiari went.
no point in harping on what could but didn’t happen. Always been a crapshoot.

with our current Qb situation i think its safe to say we (Panthers) need a plan B in case Bryce Young ultimately does not pan out .Shedur Sanders makes alot of sense for the Panthers ...just saying
When’s the last time a backup qb with a massive media circus worked out? As soon as Bryce has one bad game there’d be a media circus about how shedeur should be starting and i would near guarantee there’d be leaks and reports coming from the sanders camp
Backup QBs are supposed to be glue guys that work their tail off and stay out of the spotlight.
the only place I can see him conceivably being a backup would honestly be a place where the starter is entrenched like Baltimore. He has way too much media baggage to be a regular backup.
same reason Cam wasn’t able to hang around as a backup after his prime

This franchise doesn’t deserve Cam’esque swag
Cams play on the field matched his confidence level, Shedeurs does not

To be fair the quality of recievers was much better in that draft.
Oh for sure, he would’ve been below Watkins, OBJ and Mike Evans and probably Marquis Lee as a prospect but I think he would be above KB.

I mean cool, nobody is perfect and they clearly werent about KB, although I think the knee messed him up, simply pointing out he was the higher ranked prospect. I would think they get it right far more than wrong though. It is however impossible to know but like PFF or whatever it’s a grade given based on metrics.
Part of my point was the only place I remember him being a “higher prospect” is NFL.com. But, as a huge draft junkie since 2008, I just recall the general sentiments around KB being much lower than TMAC. For instance, Walterfootball had KB going in the second round to Baltimore back in 2014 but TMAC going 12 to Dallas. NFL prospect profiles is the only place I can find being higher on KB, but it’s also over a decade ago so who knows.

Tet - 6.40 grade

KB - 6.8 grade
I think the knee injury really got to KB
Funny enough both of their scouting reports are pretty similar, oh and that 6.4 grade would have been (checks notes) tied for 6th best last draft
Profiles on NFL.com are far from the draft community and NFL consensus

Benjamin was a higher graded prospect
The only place you’ll find that being the case is in the NFL draft profiles on NFL.com, which are laughably useless (go check out the profiles for Aaron Donald, LaQuan Treadwell, Greg Robinson, or Isiah Wilson)
From what I remember him being a low first round type of prospect was pretty consensus as his measurable were great but we was raw as poo, pretty stiff, and body caught a lot. TMAC was consistently in the top half of mocks with a lot of top ten buzz prior, there was only really any talk of him falling lower this last month or so, which I think was mostly prospect fatigue.
Happy to be proven wrong though.

Well Morgan makes me look like an idiot. You had two tight ends who can do the exact same poo Tet can do sitting there, a true slot in Egbuka, a burner in Golden who can run the entire route tree.
we take another go ball receiver to pair with the stiff hip Legette, stiff hip Sanders, and an aging Theilen and decent 3 option in what’s his face from Holy Cross.
I don’t get it. I really don’t. This will inevitably fail like every other receiver draft pick not named Steve Smith.
Idiots fell in love with the measurables yet again. I’d have been happier taking Shadeur Sanders than this guy who can’t even get off blocks in the PAC 12/Big 12.
We have gone back in time to the Funchess/Benjamin experiment which was fantastic, when Benjamin got hurt.
I understand the skepticism, but I do think TMAC is way above KB or Funchess ever were as prospects. Neither of them even sniff TMAC in hands (felt like KB body caught nearly everything) agility and fluidity of movement, and route running.
No clue if it’ll work out but I get it.

If we do I really hope it’s for Ez out of BC and not Mike Green. Green is a stud as a player but wouldn’t touch him with a ten foot pole.

yeah, this draft is going to suck. Morgan and his folks are going to overprioritize defense. Reach for their dudes early.
I wouldn't be shocked if there first 5 rounds are 4 defensive players and a running back that doesn't actually make sense (hate their top 30 fixation there and who they looked at) or some poo like that.
Going into this draft, it's almost like we forgot we got the 30th ranked passing game in the NFL. And our featured player, is contemplated retirement, wasn't healthy and is going to be worse.
We also gave up more points than any defense in NFL history.

Anyone upset about a win and Bryce having his career best game because of a difference of two draft spots should sit and spin.
