  1. This is very interesting and it makes sense. However, Im not sure I agree that at a point the body can only add fat and not muscle. Look at bodybuilders that add huge amounts of muscle to what is sometimes a small frame.

But it makes sense from the weight standpoint as well as stresses that a player is applying to bones, joints and ligaments. Keeping below that ratio keeps the muscle as the weak point. Overbuilding the muscle makes the ligaments, joints and maybe even bones the weak point.

Faulk being traded did wonders for his career with the Rams. Colts also got a decent RB in Edgerrin James in the draft. Peyton Manning is what really defined the Colts. As long as the Panthers hit on a franchise QB, no one will really remember  CMC.

Just to be fair, Edgerrin James is a bit above decent. He was rookie of the year and won the rushing title his first two years. He owns the Colts records for most career rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, yards per game, and seasons over 1000 rushing yards. And he is in the Hall of Fame. Peyton defined the colts, but the RB they drafted after they traded Faulk was a home run. I just don't know if this front office is capable of duplicating that yet.

  3. I wouldn't say as much lost as he looks checked out. That is the look of a man who knows he is not there long term and has no concerns for the future as he could retire on what he is still guaranteed.
