What Greg did for Levine Children's Hospital is as important, if not more so, than anything he did on the football field.

I like the sound of Fields to the Panthers. I say stay put at 8 and get any of the top 4 QBs.
It's a risky play because you have to figure teams behind us will know they have to jump us if they love whoever of Lawrence/Fields/Wilson/Lance is still on the board. Philadelphia, Cincinnati, and Miami are all viable trade down candidates. Atlanta could either take a QB or trade down. Where Watson lands will impact it as well. It's going to be a wild ride.

People can forget trading up, that is not happening I would bet that in a second. U better hope we get Stafford or someone falls if not we stuck with Bridgewater again
Get used to the name Mac Jones.

With Jansen retiring, Ryan Langan is one to watch. Nobody thinks about long snappers, but a bad one will cost you games.

Fingers crossed it's just Fitterer following up on his "in on every deal" mantra.
You don't build a consistent winner by trading away that much Draft capital for one player when your roster is a shambles.
Eagles gave up similar for Wentz and got a Lombardi. They've had one bad year (2020).

That was actually the point of my screenshot, to highlight how few 4QC and GWD's. Should have taken it the way you did.
2019 W4 4QC/GWD: 15 play drive, 3 passes. longest pass is 9 yards
2019 W6 GWD: 12 play drive, 7 passes, longest pass 12 yards

I think Jones is likely going to basically be a less athletic version of Teddy at the NFL level. The physical limitations will show up when his backups aren't better than his opponents' starters.
I think that's why it was a great choice for Jones to go to the Senior Bowl.

Not entirely... They've drafted a fair amount of OL pretty high. All more or less busted for them. Also traded a fair amount for their LT and I believe gave him a decent contract.
Pretty sure Fitterer would have been involved in drafting our LT last season (Okung).

He couldn't talk about Sean Ryan's hire as it is not yet "official".

"I believe in drafting/acquiring a quarterback every year."
Also mentioned churning the bottom of the roster. Combined with the statement about bringing in a QB, it doesn't bode well for Grier.

Hurney always trusted the feeling in his gut. I think he just ate a bad burrito.
Tepper specifically mentioned not making decisions by gut feeling when discussing the importance of process in his interview today.

Though I'd love it, I don't see how we make a deal more appealing than what the NYJ or MIA can offer him without setting our team back 4-5 seasons with lost assets.
NYJ: Darnold (25 yr old QB former #3 overall pick), 2021 #2 overall pick, 2021 #23 overall pick
MIA: Tua (23 yr old QB former #5 overall pick), 2021 #3 overall pick, 2021 #18 overall pick ... and, it's South Beach in a state with no income taxes.
CAR: Bridgewater (28 yr old QB) or CMC (former #8 overall pick), 2021 #8 pick
Watson can veto any trade, so I could see that possibly with NYJ, but Miami....come on. A top-5 NFL QB making $20+million a year and could go be thee premier star in a major metropolis like Miami, why would I go to Carolina over that?
Miami is a Watson QB away from being a perennial AFC contender. Flores is a coach that players want to play for, that team is young and knocking on the door of the playoffs.
What Houston would ask of us would set us back so far. I'm okay with three years' worth of firsts and Teddy, but after that I think the risk-reward starts to hurt too much. We still have an incomplete OL, no CB1, a dance partner needed for Brown at iDL and three WRs that are within two years of walking.
If we overpay, we are no better than Houston was with Watson.
"Tagovailoa isn’t regarded as a quarterback the Texans will view as an adequate replacement for Watson, according to multiple league sources.” - Aaron Wilson (covers the cover the Texans for the Houston Chronicle).

It would be interesting to hear his reason for keeping Hurney and Rivera too long. He doesn’t strike me as someone who is scared to take a big leap (like immediately firing and hiring a coach/GM combo). Which means he either mismanaged the situation or kept them longer intentionally to learn the process before making the leap.
He used the term 'rookie mistakes' in the interview.

Andrew Brandt was part of the personel team in Green Bay. He talks about it sometimes. Brett was pissed. The coaches were pissed. The fans were pissed.

Thank God the Saints have $4 million to roll over. That will get them from $100 million to $96 million over the cap. I'm sure they'll somehow be able to sign several good players despite this.
Agent's Take: Here's how Saints can dig out of 2021 salary cap mess; potential cap casualties and restructures

thank you.
My main point was that you can give up all that the Eagles did and still be competitive, even win a championship.

For those worried about the rebuild, I would assume everyone wants to stay at 8 then for a QB? Because if you support the trade up to #3, based on what the Eagles gave up for Wentz as a barometer...
- 2016 #13 pick, 2016 3rd rounder, 2016 4th rounder, 2017 1st rounder, 2018 2nd rounder, 2 players.
The above, is essentially 3 1st round picks if not more. For Carson Wentz.
And they won the Super Bowl, two years later (2018) with Wentz injured and on the bench.

Looks like Brady will be back. The only HC left open is Houston.

Miami might not be as well positioned as we think. Houston doesn't regard Tua as a "an adequate replacement for Watson"
