Williams was the answer for RT, why in hellsworld did we not put Moton at LT and keep Williams at RT??

Another mistake in the long list of mistakes panthers made.

I got another one that never gets talked about too, fug you Herniay

Not playing Moton on the left continues to bewilder. When Ronnie Stanley went down for the Ravens, they slid Orlando Brown from RT to LT with little issue.

I'd love to know what happened with Peters.

There's been speculation that Peters was the brains behind many of Lynch's best moves and Lynch did whatever he could to keep Peters in the building. Peters reportedly loves working for the 49ers and loves living in San Fran. Things got close to Peters being hired in Carolina so Lynch gave Peters some incentives to stay put (probably a raise and some other stuff Peters wanted).

As I've stated previously, I had some issues with the first 3-4 types of masks that I tried.  I think its due to the shape of my face, and in particular my nose.  Once I found surgical masks it was a huge win for me.  Last week I went ahead and ordered some other types of masks, particularly since it looks like gyms might be requiring them soon.

At any rate, I found that I can breath pretty well in this one (pic attached) and its nice because it doesn't fog up my glasses.  Its a little warmer to wear than the surgical mask, but I can breath in it a little easier and I can definitely talk in it better.  I got it on Amazon for like $7.

I have this same mask. Love it. I can wear it for hours with no issues.

On Thursday, city officials are set to hold an emergency meeting regarding the coronavirus where a mask ordinance will be on the agenda.

By calling Citizen Services, residents are prompted with a recorded message that allows them to cast a vote in support of or against the measure. People calling after business hours can leave a message with their vote simply by saying "yes" or "no."

Yeah, Same in SC, especially on the coast.  I don't think they allow mask in Charleston County.  I was down there for Memorial Day and saw 1 mask the 3 days I was there.

I live in Charleston. When I'm out and about, its about 50/50 most places. I did take my car to a local Pep Boys this weekend to get serviced and none of the Service Managers were wearing masks. I was only one in the place that was.

Edit: There does seem to be this belief that the beach is somehow immune. When I was at IOP, I saw very few people at the beach with masks.

I don’t know if it will be a blow. Given the current climate with protests etc, Charlotte was probably looking at a huge mess in August. I think we dodged a bullet.

Odds are they move the convention to SC or TX.

SC wouldn't surprise me, but we really don't have a city like Charlotte to host it. All our major cities (Charleston, Greenville/Spartanburg, Myrtle Beach) are small compared to Charlotte.

Wow. To put this into perspective: NYC's death toll is 10x LA County's.

This headline doesn't quite match up with the article. LA County is slow-rolling reopening like lots of places. But this headline makes it sound like stay at home keeps everything closed through summer. The text of the article doesn't seem to jive with that.

Its impossible to lock down a state 100%.  What you can do is significantly alter the number of people coming into the state.  Several states set up road blocks on major highways into and out of the state, and were turning away outside visitors after confirming their information.

One of our local beaches (Folly Beach) did this. They're now being sued by the city of Charleston to open up and remove the roadblocks.

Sadly, it is going to require folks going out, mingling and potentially infecting each other to get us to the next step in living in a post Coronavirus world. We'll know soon whether we get slammed again or if it will just be a moderate rate of infection. Sooner or later, we'll have to all go back out, but as Magneto said, "Let the pawns go first."

We've been living in a post Influenza world since the 1918 epidemic, learning to live with it's reappearances, learning how to treat it and alleviate symptoms, developing vaccines and sadly, burying tens of thousands of terminal cases each year because it can't be eradicated now or ever. We'll do the same with the Coronaviruses that will come along over the years.

NYT has an interesting historical article on pandemics today.

    https://nytimes.com/2020/05/10/health/coronavirus-plague-pandemic-history.html

    Interesting things I learned:

The 1918 Spanish flu evolved into the flu that comes around every year.

The Hong Kong flu of 1968 still circulates as a seasonal flu.

My takeaway: COVID 19 isn't going away. It will come back as another seasonal flu.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Colorado isn't "opening up everything".

As for the education statement, it's based on factual data. Colorado is second in the nation in percentage of the adult population with a bachelor's degree or higher at 41%.

Louisiana, Mississippi, Kentucky, and Arkansas are 4 of the bottom 5. West Virginia is the 5th and many lump it in as a southern state as well. So either 80% or 100% of the five least educated states in the nation are southern. NC is the third highest educated southern state behind Virginia (7th, 38.2%) and Georgia (25th, 30.7%) at 26th (30.5%).

I'm stunned not to see SC on that list of bottom five. Our education department's motto for the longest time was "thank god for Mississippi" because in most rankings we were 49th and Mississippi 50th.

I really want to get one of the antibody tests. I've submitted to be part of a clinical trial for it.

I posted awhile back that I think there's a really good chance we've already had this thing and that was before we had preliminary data suggesting that the actual rate of infection very well may be 50x higher than the number of confirmed cases. I traveled a TON in early Q1 and shortly after coming back from a trip to the greater Seattle area in mid-January, I developed a helluva chest cold. Zero head/sinus symptoms. Basically just a drag ass feeling with a low grade fever and a hellish dry cough that lasted forever, like 10 or so weeks forever. The weird thing about it was that it would come in waves. Just as soon as you thought you were getting over it, another wave would hit and you'd be right back to where you started. My wife had the same thing. Our four year old daughter wasn't impacted in the least.

I'd be interested in the antibody test as well. The last week of February I got sick to where I had to use sick leave for the first time in two years. Standard head cold stuff, but zero appetite and extreme fatigue. I think I slept 18 hours one day. Wife and two kids never showed any symptoms.
