I'm very curious to hear Chinns take on this. He had to of been approached first and asked his thoughts on moving back to LB...

I'm not knocking you, but there's no chance that a front office asks players their thoughts on signings. I'm sure they've had internal discussions amongst themselves on how what role he best suits the team and relayed that to him.

I hope it doesn’t come down to paying Bozeman or Burns. We can afford both…maybe?

We have enough money and can work the cap to sign both of them plus a few more free agent pickups. No need to worry about picking one IMO.

  3. Very solid press conference. I enjoyed that Reich answered some questions legitimately regarding his past coaching experience, the future roster, play calling, building up a coaching staff and what he believes a championship organization looks like. He's been a part of it in Buffalo, Philadelphia, and had some success in Indy. So he's proven he can do it and I'm honestly pretty excited.

Ummm... that's basically what Chancellor was. He basically played a joker type S/LB hybrid role. He spent a LOT of time in the box.

I've always said that if you want to see how Jeremy Chinn should ideally be used, watch Kam Chancellor in Seattle.

Kam was a cornerback when he first got to Virginia Tech then converted to safety. He was able to play deep thirds and run with receivers. Chinn is best in the box and flats, covering underneath zones and matching with backs and tight ends best.

Scott said he wants a ball hawk safety... so putting Chinn in the Kam Chancellor  role and going after a TRUE ball hawk safety would be huge.

No way. Chinn has shown he can't match up 1 on 1 coverage deep down field consistently. He's better for a hybrid linebacker position, closer to the line of scrimmage.
