It will depend on why the coach gets hired. If a dude shows up like Mike McDaniel did with a 500 play presentation on how to get the most out of BY and then benches him after week 2, it won't look great.

Ordered off the kids menu and saved Tepper 20 bucks.

Whoever is the best player on the board, take him. There is no position that can't be improved. Or hope like hell a round 1 QB slips and see if a team will give a good haul to trade up. This team is so talent deficient that having a mediocre draft will improve the team.

Fields isn’t great but damn sure is better than Bryce. Bears use that #1 on a QB right?
They are getting MHJ and probably trading to get more picks with the other pick. They are going to be stacked. I don't think they take a QB.

I wanted no part of Wilson coming out of college. I would take him then and now a million times out of a million over. Bryce. No question.
Wilson can throw it out of the stadium and has flashed. Would be interesting to see him with a Mike McDaniel level coach.

You honestly have to be a masochist to watch this team. Just when I think they can’t get worse they do somehow
It's simple really, I've had a relationship with the team since I was 8 years old. I get a few months of the year when I get to watch football. Then I spend the rest of the year waiting for football. Even when they suck, seeing Panther uniforms playing football makes me feel 8 again.
Even when they are by far the worst team in the league, there are no stakes for me. Win or lose its an escape from work, and bills, and being an adult. And hell some of the people in this chat are people I've posted on game day with for a decade plus. I enjoy escapism even if it's not a good product because I know that I'd miss the hell out of it if it was gone.

Why can't our receivers make circus catches like that?
Lack of talent.

Call on 4th was a good call, Bryce made the right read. RB just fell down. How can it be a bad call when it worked exactly as it should at every part except for the RB falling down?
I would say it was a bad call because on pass plays so much can go wrong. A run play when you've been gashing them has a better chance at success. It wasn't the worst play call ever. But overthinking it is a thing. Get in I, pound the ball. Get 4 more plays.

I want an offensive minded coach, but I would be thrilled with Wilkes.
How is that screen to a lineman not an illegal touch?

Taking chuba off the field on 4th and 1 to throw again. I just can't man.
If this team had a first, there would be ample evidence of them tanking.

Empty. Shotgun. And empty.

This team. Is. So. Dumb.

I can't lie, I enjoy seeing a team just line up under center and pound. It won't get you 5+ every play but I prefer the grind it out versus shotgun patty cake bs.

This game is on special teams. Withoutthe punt and the mussed field goal, we are 9-7.
Agree with this too. Poor defense needs to score.

Who would have thought.
Baker Mayfied is the best qb in the NFC South, and its not even close. Not that he is good, but the others have have been horrific.
I think if Sam or PJ were kept they would be the best QB in the south this year. This division has been so bad for so long its almost comical.

I'm not sure I could be a player on this defense and not be flipping poo over on the sidelines. They've given up 7 points. They've given up less than 50 passing yards. And the game is not winnable because the offense couldn't score with a prostitute on prom night.

Still a 3 possession game, damn.

Best chance is to run the hell out of the ball and then hope like hell that play action can work. Similar to how Darnold was handled late last year.

Huddle polls.

The football IQ on this team may be a net negative.

This may be the most pathetic passing game I've ever seen in a half. Wildcat offenses get more out of the passing game.

Bryce is doing horrible again, even on crossing routes he sucks. Every pass has been behind the receivers, I’ve tried to stay somewhat positive about Bryce but he is making it really hard!
Drafting a QB next year and letting the better player win the job would be a blessing.

This particular team is flirting with some of the alltime worst teams in nfl history. They can't do anything good. Growing up as a kid in the late 70s into the 80s I always remember how every year the bucks and Saints sucked like clockwork. I now know what those saints and bucs fans felt like. Horrible franchise now.
I think the 1-15 team from 20+ years ago would destroy this team, and that was the worst team I can remember cheering for.

So what exactly did Bryce say/do during the now infamous dinner that got the Teppers so excited?

Dude is going to make a really good offensive coordinator one day. Kellen Moore style career coming up.
