Young is not a lefty, but he reminds me so much of Steve Young. I hope he can be as elusive and mobile.

New era, I'm excited to be relevant again in 2-3 years!
Yep I think next year 2024 will be the year we make a run. Dalton will have us competing but we have no ceiling if Young plays and stays healthy. I have no doubt teams will try to test Young, and rough him up.

ESPN commentary may be the most biased commentary of any sport I have ever watched. I have Bally but wanted to see what ESPN was saying, boy what a horrible crew. I hope they are wearing their Islanders gear, fugging putrid.

Necas is horrible with the puck, insanely bad.

I wonder if the hurricanes lead the league in no goals after scoring?

We gotta keep it close, they are going to wear us down, they are going to come out strong in the second.
I think they are saving for the third myself, the Islanders that is.

Insane. I already read that the Islanders are claiming they have the loudest arena. I could have sworn I read an article this year that stated PNC was the loudest NHL venue, I did and it was on Oct 7, 2022. Islander fans are delusional.

Any word on Drury?

Rags are going to make us look bad too I’m afraid, granted we make it out of our series. Would be nice if NJ would ding them up for us.
On paper it looks that way, but something tells me we owe them from last year. They just don’t seem as heavy on hits, as last year. We need to drub Trouba though, I haven’t forgot about Jarvis.

Boy the Islander fans are screaming bloody murder on a missed high stick call in overtime against Martinook. They are stating that the refs gifted us this game. The islanders came to play physical and punish Carolina, 54 hits says a lot. Pesce, Aho were cut, and Turbo broke a hand. Funny how fandom changes how you process facts. The Islanders should have been called for at least 2 or 3 more PPs and maybe even a major on the Staal hit. I hope we can at least steal one game in NY, if so I feel good about moving on. However, the Rags will play just as heavy, it is why NJ will not win their series.

Man the islanders doubled us up on hits. Those are body blows, hope we don’t slow down. We need a few days rest.

Pesce is a liability, he is by far our weakest defenseman. Almost all goals in the last 5 games have been on his shift.

Afraid of losing and having a power play

There will be retribution sometime during this game. Gloves may drop

Have the islanders intentionally cracked their sticks? All of their sticks are breaking like twigs.
That’s because they are slashing every chance they get.

I wonder if they will finally let you select the games you can have on one screen
You can get unlimited plus 4K for 15 more a month.

Patience is not a strong suit of mine.
hiwever. Yes. Canes dominated those last 5.
it’s amazing what happens when our forwards actually score.
One problem we have is size. Our forwards are small, in Drury and Jarvis, but they can fly. They just get pushed off the puck pretty easy.

Pool party will be good. He doesn’t have confidence in his shot but the effort is there, and he has been in great position to score. I hope he gets one to give him some confidence, we need that for the playoffs.

You guys have no patience, last 5 minutes have been dominating.

We’re playing hard now, a little too late. Lots of good shots on net but it’s like we can’t friggin buy a goal. Sure would be nice to have their goalie.
Jusse Saros always gives us a hard time.

Greensboro Monarchs or Generals again, they used to have sell out crowds in the 90s. Maybe the hurricanes can set up shop in Greensboro?

Official NHL Playoff Thread(non canes)
in Carolina Hurricanes

Year after year in the post season, teams abuse us and we get no calls. It is just common practice at this point. Jarvis and Drury are fast but small, and I expect one or both to be out in the playoffs from here out.
